    This game actually upsets me in some level, because it's everything we wanted Mighty No. 9 to be, but we didn't get. However, I believe it was worth the wait, as this game is the Megaman game we wanted so bad, with retro visuals, slick 60 FPS performance, and fun gameplay and level design. The game does have a slow start, and some levels do feel tedious at times, but the overall experience is great.

    Mighty Gunvolt Burst is exactly what I wanted it to be. A proper clone of a genre I still love to this day, with enough new to make it feel modern. The platforming is tight, the challenge is solid, and everything just feels good. I grew up loving these games, and while I am not quite as skilled as I used to be, I still enjoy the challenge they deliver.

    Mighty Gunvolt Burst is an overall fun and fitting tribute to retro 2D action games that stars two recent heroes in the genre. Although you won't be playing it for years to come, it's still a worthwhile entry in one of the most classic genres in gaming.

    Mighty Gunvolt Burst isn’t a fantastic action-platformer, but it is a relatively enjoyable one and miles better than Mighty No. 9-Stages-of-Hell. With a cheap enough price tag and a decent amount of replayability, there are worse options you could choose on Nintendo Switch than this.

    If it wasn't for its faithful retro presentation and soundtrack, Mighty Gunvolt Burst would be a pretty forgettable and by the numbers Mega Man clone. This is fine for children who are just getting into 2D run-and-gun action since, at the time of this review, there is no Virtual Console on the Nintendo Switch. The best part of playing Inti Creates' latest release is just experimenting with the possible combinations to make all kinds of wonderful weapons of death.

    Always loved the series growing up, in particular 2, but this is just everything they were and more.    This is by far the best mega man game.

The weapon customisation options mean you can make the game as difficult or as easy as you like, as does the collection of fruit you can amass. I think this allowz both new comers to this sort of game to survive and pros of the genre to be challenged.

    The boss fights leave you with a real sense of accomplishment after numerois failed attempts, the levels have that classic mega man charm with some more intersting mechanics here and there, and theres plenty of hidden secret to be found. The soundtrack is awesome.

    If you like a challenge and like mega man you wont go away dissapointed. Ignore any reviews about it being too easy, its just people trying to seem cool.    … Expand

It's a throw back to the original Mega Man games for the NES, with a little twist, allowing you to choose between two different characters, and modifying Beck's blaster.
    If you like/love the original Mega Man games, you should definitely buy this one. But remember, this game is about expectations and fun. Graphics do not come into the equation, so if graphics=fun to you, you're missing out.    … Expand

I love the music, the style and all the custom parts you can equip to change up the gameplay, but it quickly breaks the game from a difficulty stand point. It's obvious this game is in the spirit of megaman, but it doesn't really hit home with challenging platforming or bosses, even the final boss is ridiculously easy if you enhance you defense, collect food and use the weakness. Like i said, fun, but don't expect a "megaman" like challenge.… Expand
