the only thing good about this game is its art style. the controls are stiff adding to that every time you die a new track plays or resets the same track you were just listening to making the game headache-inducing. it is so simplistic that it has to make up for it in level design witch it does not. as of writing this, I am about a quarter through the game, I bought it on switch for aboutthe only thing good about this game is its art style. the controls are stiff adding to that every time you die a new track plays or resets the same track you were just listening to making the game headache-inducing. it is so simplistic that it has to make up for it in level design witch it does not. as of writing this, I am about a quarter through the game, I bought it on switch for about $5.50 AUD and it has been one of the worst games I have ever bought. for some reason it makes you hold down the A button to move. this game negatively impacted me it's not worth getting if it was free. I made a Metacritic account because of how bad this game was. Expand

A game to play when you have a couple minutes to spare, like a mobile game, little challenges that don't take much of your time.

When I bought this game, I was wondering why it was so inexpensive. It looked like a fun and unique game. However, it was very clunky and overall not fun.

Petite and Ratalaika Games have done an excellent job with the artistic design. With a few shades of colors, they have managed to create that dark environment that will dazzle the player.

Midnight Deluxe brings with it a competent visual environment and decent control systems for a game with a rather unusual premise. Beyond that, the experience quickly loses appeal, as the difficulty level feels forced, the game becomes repetitive on a short-term basis and does not motivate the player to go further.

Midnight Deluxe goes for the 2D arcade golf mechanics and even manages to find some creative levels that utilise them well but a lack of refined control and limited playing options leave this game failing to fulfil any potential that's on offer.
