    The original game already looked quite good even today, but this remaster makes the original look completely outdated in comparison. Retro did not simply upscale the textures, but rebuilt everything almost entirely from scratch, to include more polygons, better lighting, and more effects.     Fantastic remaster! Retro Games has done an excellent job bringing this amazing game to an even higher level. One of my favorite games of all time, and this is the best way to play it. Please support Metroid games so Nintendo will realize how many people love these games!

    Nintendo really just shadow dropped one of the most acclaimed games from the gamecube era with a complete visual overhaul, new models and textures, absurd amount of controls customization, colour blind support, Gamecube controller support and is chargin only 40 usd for it ?
    Colour me impressed.

    This level of care, love and effort is rare to see in the gaming dev atmosphere nowadays. Retro studios really put all the work into making this version the MUST GO to play this masterpiece

    Bueno hace falta dar una opinión acerca de este juego, lo jugué en GC y WII es increíble independiente de si se ve mejor o no. Solo quiero decir que PIPEROS dan asco, son lo peor en el mundo de los videojuegos. Mejor vayan a ver su serie.

    This is a great remaster of a timeless classic, which just doesn't seem to age at all. This was actually my 3rd time playing through this game, (twice on Wii Prime trilogy) and it is still just as enjoyable.

    The greatly enhanced dual-stick controls makes the gameplay that much better, and as you lock on to enemies, you get kind of an auto-aim, which makes shooting enemies and bosses a    This is a great remaster of a timeless classic, which just doesn't seem to age at all. This was actually my 3rd time playing through this game, (twice on Wii Prime trilogy) and it is still just as enjoyable.

There is also an option for classic Gamecube controls and Wii-style motion controls, but I personally preferred, and stuck with the modern dual-stick option.

    Simply a masterpiece that should be experienced by anyone into action/adventure games, and now made that much more accessible with enhanced visuals and modernized controls.

    One small nitpick is the amount of backtracking you have to do in this game, but that doesn't hamper an otherwise great experience. Highly recommended!    … Expand

    A perfect game that doesn't look more than 20 years old. Honestly this is one of the most incredible experiences for first person games and also for games of the Metroidvania genre. A masterpiece of video games. Let Echoes come.

    THE BACKTRACKING drains all the fun out at times. It’s made worse by tedious enemy respawns each time you return to certain rooms. Also, the map will make you got cross eyed after a while. It’s a good game, but it feels like a chore at times. Metroid Dread handled backtracking better with fast travel stations and new powerups allowing you to plow through low level enemies.     Where do I even begin? It’s absolutely fantastic, the game has got to be built from the ground up because the original graphics weren’t even a problem but these new ones are so clean and fit so well. I mean the game is in HD and has better audio. The game runs like a gem at a stable 60fps, which is getting to be rare now with Switch games. Plus the fact you get to control the game like anWhere do I even begin? It’s absolutely fantastic, the game has got to be built from the ground up because the original graphics weren’t even a problem but these new ones are so clean and fit so well. I mean the game is in HD and has better audio. The game runs like a gem at a stable 60fps, which is getting to be rare now with Switch games. Plus the fact you get to control the game like an FPS like Halo this time? Awesome. There’s also other controls methods for those who prefer the other ones! The classic controls, motion, and a hybrid of both of those. Not to mention there’s new neat collectibles like the game’s soundtrack or getting to see the game’s art. Plus a lot of good accessibility not seen in other Nintendo ports or game’s in general all for $40?? This is the first time it’s been available to play on the go! If you’ve ever been on the edge to try out the Prime series this is the best time ever to do so, no doubt. Personally, I don’t think you will regret it!… Expand

    Simply put, Metroid Prime is nothing less than the best game of all time. There is no other game like it as the immersion alone makes this title. One of the few games (aside from MGS, OoT, and RE4) that I can say is flawless. Metroid Prime is THE reason I play(ed) video games and it is a testament to the sheer beauty and power of video games in general. Too bad that there are so few titlesSimply put, Metroid Prime is nothing less than the best game of all time. There is no other game like it as the immersion alone makes this title.     My top one game from the cube , now we need the other two. The controls are perfect ,this is how remasters should be done . I’ve recently tried the Wii trilogy and you can really tell the huge improvement .

    Metroid has finally been put on a console with a gigantic fanbase and might actually get the recognition it deserves. Fantastic game with great music and graphics.

Sure, you might lose five or six times at different times on your way to beating an area, but you walk out of it with that one win feeling like a champ. It now looks and plays better than ever.     This is an absolutely sublime remaster of a game that was already a masterpiece. The game runs flawlessly, looks incredible with the updated models and assets, and plays fantastic with a ton of various control options.     I sold my Steam Deck to pay for this game and it was the best decision I ever made! I noticed most of the other people who owned one seemed to be: libertarian pirates who don't like/support the industry; people that only like graphics and don't really enjoy games; paedophiles; or all of the above. Thank you Nintendo and Metroid Prime for saving me and putting be back onto the right path ofI sold my Steam Deck to pay for this game and it was the best decision I ever made!     An incredible game and an incredible remaster. For $40, I honestly expected this to be more along the lines of a visual touch-up, but this is as close to a remake as a remaster can get. Nearly everything has been redone from lighting, to textures, and even the majority of models.     One of the best games of all time got a well deserved re-work. It plays just perfectly today as it did 20 years ago. And wow, the soundtrack of this game ist just still one of the best out there, amazing work! Kudos to the composer!
    If you have never play this GOTY before then do it now! You wont be disappointed!

    Back in the day, the original could be possibly the best game ever made. They definetly managed to improve it at insane levels. Heavily impressed with the new visuals. Just get it already and enjoy the journey!

    Beautiful amazing I first experienced this classic 16 years ago and it felt like the first time again just yesterday thank you retro studios you’ve found a way to make me love Metroid even more then I already did bravo.

    My only complaint about the original Metroid Prime was the control scheme; many would agree with me. Nintendo and Retro Studios have not only succeeded in making the remaster look like a brand new game, they have fixed every complaint I already had about the original.     I've played all the metroid games & prime games. This is a true remaster, the graphics look absolutely beautiful, and the overall gameplay is phenomenal. Beings back so many memories of playing the first one, definitely a must have for anyone that's a fan of the series & new new fans as well.

    Game makers: take note. Metroid Prime Remastered is a masterclass in how to modernize a masterpiece. Twenty years after the series made the transition to 3D, this remains a classic that has stood the test of time. The updated visuals prove that with some optimization and visual tricks, the Switch is really capable of delivering great games. In fact, this is one of prettier – if not the prettiest –Switch games to date.

    A classic returns in Metroid Prime Remastered. A complete visual overhaul makes the world of the game look better and more detailed than ever before. A new dual-stick control scheme makes the game approachable and palatable for new players, while veterans can opt for controls that mimic the original. Underneath it all, though, the masterpiece that is Metroid Prime Remains unchanged. Some more quality of life improvements could perhaps have been made, but it is a tiny complaint for a near-perfect remaster.
