    Holds up looks great sounds better and cheep this is a great deal. Enjoy your time on talon 4. It has its flaws to bed sure but anything does if you look hard enough. Good games are so rare these days. Enjoy.

    I sold my Steam Deck to pay for this game and it was the best decision I ever made! I noticed most of the other people who owned one seemed to be: libertarian pirates who don't like/support the industry; people that only like graphics and don't really enjoy games; paedophiles; or all of the above. Thank you Nintendo and Metroid Prime for saving me and putting be back onto the right path ofI sold my Steam Deck to pay for this game and it was the best decision I ever made!     Fantastic game, first time playing it. Brings all the good stuff from 2002 into the modern era. OST is fantastic and the gameplay is simple. The world is fun to explore and while there is some backtracking it's like unwrapping a present.

Game mechanics, world building, graphics and music are still as top notch as ever. This was the game that made the Game Cube back in the day. Look no further than Metroid Prime Remastered, which is essentially a 20 years old game that was so iconic and ground breaking, that playing it now, you will still be in awe. Nintendo sure was trounced left and right back in the day, with the dominance of both Sony and Microsoft, but boy...they DO not make games like Metroid Prime. Shadow dropped by Nintendo after their Direct, I downloaded it immediately and quickly immerse myself yet again in this incredible game. Last of Us? Elden Ring? They may have the whiz bang graphics and other bells and whistles, but Prime still triumphs over them, 20 years on.… Expand

    This games brings back so many memories from 2002. Retro Studio really did an amazing job remaking the game with beautiful graphics & a few tweak to improve the accessibility. This is now hands down the best way to play Metroid Prime.

    There's a reason why this game was so popular upon release back in the Gamecube days. There's not a ton of things that were changed here, which speaks to how well the first go around went for it. There's a very nice graphics improvement and they added the dual stick control system, common in pretty much all modern FPS games.     An incredible game and an incredible remaster. For $40, I honestly expected this to be more along the lines of a visual touch-up, but this is as close to a remake as a remaster can get. Nearly everything has been redone from lighting, to textures, and even the majority of models.     Everything I want in a game... lots of pretty environments to explore, puzzles to solve, and light combat. The music and sound effects are great. Modern gamers might laugh at the enemy AI, but it's perfect for me, a button masher. I loved it on GameCube but never finished it... I will this time though. Thanks Nintendo!

    10/10, the original was/is one of favourite games of all time and this remaster/remake is shaping up to become the same, I've been into video games since I could hold a joystick (spectrum kid here!) And I've seen some classics come and go and this is definitely a classic, I'd have preferred to seen it remade with 4k resolution and textures on something like the Xbox Series X but what retro10/10, the original was/is one of favourite games of all time and this remaster/remake is shaping up to become the same, I've been into video games since I could hold a joystick (spectrum kid here!)     If ever a game deserved a 10, this is it. And with dual analog gyro aiming, HD rumble, 5.1 surround, flawless 60fps at sharp resolution and lush new visuals, I wish I could give even higher.

    When I got Metroid Prime Remastered I went back and also played Prime on my Wii and Gamecube and with this comparison I can say this is a damn fine remaster. The game runs at 60 fps just as the original did on GCN. Seems obvious , but these days there is remasters running at worse or lower FPS than the origional, see upcoming Tales of Symphonia as an example. You get meaningful upgrades if you do and the game has a mix of tight corridors and tunnels as well as more open spaces to jump around in.     It is indeed Metroid Prime. probably the only game series to get metroidvanias rights in the 3D space. Metroidvanias are not for everyone, but if that is what you are looking for you will find it here! Play this game if you want to feel truly alone in a hostile environment, and slowly but surely become the master of that environment before leaving.     Hard to believe they did so much to what is already a masterpiece on what amounted to a shadow drop. The modern controls and visuals are a thing of beauty. Once-in-a-generation game.

This is easily the best looking game on switch - truly beautiful and even more impressive at 60fps.     I own the original prime, gamecube, wii, wiiu digital versions. This stealth dropped and purchased instantly. Quite simply put, this is the best remaster I have ever played. It's 60fps on switch, and one of the best games of all time is now possibly the best switch game since botw. Absolutely incredible work of art and instant masterpiece.

    Um remaster de alta qualidade, revivendo um dos melhores jogos disponíveis para Game Cube. Trazendo 3 tipo de controle para todos os gostos. Trilha sonora impecável como sempre, uma ótima engine bem otimizada. Enquanto não chegar o MP4, recomendo a todos essa obra.

    IT is amazing how Nintendo and Retro managed to make this game look and play better that than the original. This is my favorite game ever and it is sold as one hell of a package $40 for one of the greatest game ever made and fully remastered.

    I'll give this a rare 10/10. The gameisnas exciting as the first time I've played it, but it looks like a 2023 game. I highly recommend this to any fan of adventure or sci Fi games!

    Metroid Prime on Switch is not just a remaster. It’s a complete graphical overhaul, with new lightning, models, textures, detail, effects like ambient occlusion, antialiasing… what was already extraordinary, became an absolute masterpiece!!

    Dropping into this world and exploring still feels as magical as it did at launch on the GC, when I didn't know anything about Metroid. Love how authentic they stuck to the original art and level design. Would have liked to see some of the more dynamic lighting, but seems like that relied on instructions accelerated in the GC gecko hardware. Dual stick works well with the pro controller on the TV, classic feels good in hand held/joycon since the sticks are smaller and feel a little less 'precise'. Honestly a bit surprised how well motion pointer worked considering no sensor bar, and enjoyed that quite a bit. It's more about the offset from the last time you zero'd out than actually pointing at places on the screen. Which allows for a more relaxed arm/wrist position.

    No, this game doesn't need fast travel or infinite save states. That's the whole point of exploration and finding new things the second/third time. Loved it. Maybe it should be 9.5 because they didn't credit the names of the original creators (blanket staff credit), or including more behind the scenes/documentary stuff would have been neat... But I'm rounding up.    … Expand

I’m still completely enamored with it, and it holds a very special place in my heart. Metroid Prime Remastered was somehow able to rekindle those exact same feelings. It was like playing it for the first time all over again. This isn’t just an upgrade toI haven’t touched Metroid Prime since it first launched on the GameCube. It left a long, lasting impression on me even to this day. I’m still completely enamored with it, and it holds a very special place in my heart. My only complaint is the same complaint I had back in 2002, the game is a little short. An experienced player will easily pass it in 8 to 10 hours.     One of the best FPS games of all time with an absolutely huge lift in visuals. Level design and puzzles still hold up as well as ever and the whole vibe of the game still hits just as it did back in the day. Attention to detail also goes above and beyond here. Definitely worth the 40 bucks.

    My top one game from the cube , now we need the other two. The controls are perfect ,this is how remasters should be done . I’ve recently tried the Wii trilogy and you can really tell the huge improvement .

    I am just lost for words honestly. I never thought I would see the day that this game would receive a remaster, but this is basically a remake using the original map! The game not only holds up to this day, but it can still stand above the games of today! This is by far my favorite game of all time, and I am so happy to be able to play it like this! This is how you make a remaster!

    The controls have been completely re-hauled with dual stick controls and gyro compatibility both in and out of lock on modes. There are multiple other controls modes as well, one mirroring the classic control scheme, Wii control schemes, and a hybrid between the two. The controls feel very natural, and apart from some fight with my own muscle memory, are a joy to use.

    The graphics have been updated massively as well. This is much closer to a remake than a typical remaster with updated models, geometry, textures and lighting improvements across the whole game. While this changes some visual aspects from the original, it stays incredibly close to the original. The much moodier lighting helps many areas feel closer to their original concept art and I can't say there was a single area I ran into that felt worse than the original game, which in my experience, is a rarity for remasters in general. The graphics and colors especially pop on an OLED screen, and provide great contrast especially in darker areas of Tallon IV.

    The game looks great whether docked or played in handheld mode. The framerate is a solid 60fps with the exception of one momentary dip during a flying pirates death that resulted in a half-second frame drop that I have been unable to reproduce in subsequent playthroughs.

    With very smart upgrades, and respect to the original source material, Metroid Prime Remastered not only stands closer to a remake, but sets the bar for what I believe a remaster should strive to be. I can only hope if Metroid Prime 2 & 3 ever make their way to the Switch, they're treated to a similar level of polish as the first entry.     This is my first time playing Metroid Prime and I always wanted a remake on Switch so I could play it. And I loved this game a lot. You really lose yourself in this world.

    The visuals are greatly improved and are stunning. One of the best looking games on Switch. The controls are also very smooth.

    Retro Studios did a perfect job, I can't wait for Metroid Prime 4.

    I never played a Metroid game before I played Metroid prime for the GCB. And after I did I was sure that was my favorite single player game I had played. Almost 20 years later I can confirm. This is the best game of all time. The music, art, gameplay mechanics, the feeling of being completely alone and lost in Talon IV, it’s simply mesmerizing.

    This remake is exactly what I remember playing back when I was young. The lighting is on point, the graphics are fantastic and the game is still as good as ever, maybe better with the dual stick style gameplay. Its also faithful because it has the old way of playing it. I love it.

    A remaster done right given the limitations of the switch. A far more noticeable upgrade compared to other switch remasters (Mario All Stars) (Kirby Dreamland) (Skyward Sword) Ect. Unless you include Links Awakening, this is easily the best remaster Nintendo has produced for the Nintendo Switch library!

    It’s a bit difficult to get use to the new controls if you only played it on the GCN, but there are other control options. Nice upgrade of graphics and keeping the essence and gameplay. This is what remakes should do instead of changing everything just for the sake of it or to show off.

A new dual-stick control scheme makes the game approachable and palatable for new players, while veterans can opt for controls that mimic the original. Underneath it all, though, the masterpiece that is Metroid Prime Remains unchanged. Some more quality of life improvements could perhaps have been made, but it is a tiny complaint for a near-perfect remaster.
