    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game has the most awful online mode I've every experienced. The whole gameplay is based around luck and not skill. When you score 3 goals your opponent immediately gets a star and a charge orb and scores 2 goals and you can't do anything about it. The goal keeper is either the best keeper ever or the worst you ever get, it's just random. The worst of all is that when you play alone your 3 other characters do nothing except running around like dumb **** And when you want to switch to a specific player that has a good positioning on the field you can't directly switch to the character, you have to go through every **** member in your team until you finally have the one you want.

    When you play this strikers team mode bull**** you can't even choose from the whole character roster when your club hasn't enough members, the game rather chooses a random character with no equipment.

    I almost broke my switch in half after losing 10 games in a row because of this stupid luck based bull****. I hate everything about this game and not even the CPU trophy mode **** is fun. I've beaten every team in this mode and collected every trophy and the only thing you unlock is a new armor. You not even get a special item or character after beating the „galatic mode“. 0/10 I would not recommend this game to anyone.    … Expand

    Mario Strikers: Battle League is another example of what's going with the Mario Sports spin-offs since 2015. It plays and looks decently but it's content does not warrant the full game price. It's at most a 20$ game but of course because it's a Nintendo product, the company doesn't care about the quality and charges 60$ regardless. The seal of quality once meant something.     As a fan of the series this game is very disappointing. Mechanically it's fun to play, but the problem is it's not better than the previous entries. To put it bluntly, this game is a step backwards for the series. Less overall features, less content, just play the old games because they are better.

That's more then enough time for the other player to complete an action before the game responds to your inputs.     I can't believe I say this for a Nintendo game, but it's flawed. Now don't get me wrong the gameplay is great and the game is polished overall but it has... problems. Firstly it doesn't have content like most people are saying. Secondly, the game is really hard to master.     The online mode is a mess. It's more like a fighting game than sport. This isn't bad if course, it's the main gimmick. But.. In a field so small you barely get the chance to think before you act. It's more like pressing random buttons than actually enjoying it. I play his game for 5 hours so I may change my opinion over time, but for someone who doesn't have much time to invest, it will be a problem. Also, changing characters mid game feels incredibly unresponsive. You try to change to someone you want but the game will pick someone else and confuse you completely. But the biggest problem of all in the gameplay, is this god awful goalkeeper. This NPC has to be fixed ASAP. The guy sometimes guards the goal like a.. goalkeeper(obviously) , catching the most difficult shots. However... some other times you just randomly shoot from mid-field and he just lets the ball in. My biggest personal issue with this game is this specific NPC. I dare say it's the main reason this game is bad. It definitely needs to be patched. As for the performance, I don't know if it's my problem but I get frame drops regularly in online mode.

    I think Nintendo will eventually patch this game and add more content. This game has an incredible potential but it's overthrown by.. not many, yet serious issues..

    If you are a huge fun of soccer and Mario I guess it's a good game to pick up but I would personally wait for this game to be updated and patched. Right now, its just not fun...    … Expand

    Mario Golf on Switch was a disappointment, this game here is a joke. It should have been a mobile game - but even those have more than two modes to play. 10 characters to chose for a 5 vs 5 game? Wtf. No storymode for full price? Go home..

    For 60 dollars, we should really have a campaign/story mode, obstacles, more worlds, more characters etc. What's here is good fun, but it's not a finished product

DO BETTER NINTENDO. show some love for sport games especially if your pricing your game at 60 dollars???? The online system acts like its in the 1980s still.. please upgrade your online system

The art is amazing and stylish.     I see were they‘ve gone with the changes in overall gameplay and I like those ideas, but the overall feeling was so much nicer and felt more fun and intense in the previous game for the Wii. It’s okay but I wish that they might improve some of the game over time

    Como alguien que disfruto a mas no poder los juegos anteriores de la serie como Super Mario Striker y Mario Striker Charged, Battle Legue no implementa nada nuevo,al contrario,toma todo lo que sus antecesores hacían bien y lo empeora, como achicar la cancha lo cual no permite un juego fluido, mecánicas de juego emporadas o sin sentido,como acelerar cuando tenes la pelota no tiene sentidoComo alguien que disfruto a mas no poder los juegos anteriores de la serie como Super Mario Striker y Mario Striker Charged, Battle Legue no implementa nada nuevo,al contrario,toma todo lo que sus antecesores hacían bien y lo empeora, como achicar la cancha lo cual no permite un juego fluido, mecánicas de juego emporadas o sin sentido,como acelerar cuando tenes la pelota no tiene sentido siendo la cancha tan chica,que el juego te incite a cometer faltas ya que ahora (no como en titulos anteriores) no hay penalización por hacerlo ya que antes podías recibir items y debido a esto ya no importa planificar jugadas o pases,todo se reduce a taclear a todos los contrincantes para poder patear al arco.La poca cantidad de personajes es abismal lo cual tambien limita el contenido del juego,las animaciones de los supertiros de muchos personajes duran demasiado lo cual lo vuelve tedioso,y ni hablar de la animaciones de festejo y demas ,cuando antes tenias 3 por personaje siendo mas 10,ahora son 10 de 10.

    I thought this Game would be a no brainer. I have never felt cheated on my money this much. The game is quite fun and the graphics are good. But the AI mates are stupid, the soccer field is too small (that is why the game feels sometimes chaotic), the gear system is a dissapointment because the gear only switches stats, only 10 characters choosable (after three games you have seen allI thought this Game would be a no brainer. Online is only peer2peer, what is silly, because i dont know why I pay Nintendo online service and they got no servers. All in all a huge lack of content. I paid 60€ for an early access game, because Nintendo knows what the fans want and how they can make maximum profit out of a minimum of work. Yeah they will patch new content, nice. So what? Should we celebrate that we have to wait a year until they patched their premium beta? Definitly last time i bought a Nintendo game on day one.… Expand

    It wouldn't have taken much for me to actually like this game but they **** it up so hard. So many things baffle me about this game. If they wanted to skimp on single player and focus on multiplayer that's fine, but don't make the multiplayer garbage then. If you want to play "ranked" You have to be in a club and can only use 1 character that you created. All your other team members are made by club members (randoms), so teambuilding is ****. They seem to want to make it higher skill by adding in timing to do perfect passing and shots but then they add garbage comeback mechanics like free items when you're losing and guaranteed goal hyper strikes. They seemed to want to make this game 4v4 multiplayer but you cant use 4 switches on 1 team.

    I really wanted to like this game, I still enjoy charged to this day. I dropped this game in a couple weeks and I don't see myself coming back for characters that should have been in from the start.    … Expand

    Despues de aprender Bien a jugarlo, puedo decir que es un excelente juego, no hay igual, no se le puede comparar ni a sus antesesores, yo era bueno en el de GameCube y ahora en este igual, no le veo fallos en ningun aspecto

    This is such a shame. Wasted money on a game where they promised 4 people could play online on the same team, which is not the case, only two people can play at once. I hope people read this and don't buy the game until Nintendo fixes this. I know I am done buying any switch games until they fix this. Does Nintendo think we all live in the same house. let us play online with our friends!

    Once again Nintendo has released an unfinished product. The character roster is pathetic only 10 at launch?! The content is bare-bones and gets boring quickly. I recommend everyone to avoid this game until Nintendo patches the game to it more acceptable state

    The solo mode takes 2 days to be done
    The online mode is horrible. Only 2vs2, no 4vs4...
    One week later, still no fix, still no communication from Nintendo.

    Will be a dead game very fast.

    Very sad, because the game may have been fun.

    El gameplay es muy divertido pero lamentablemente tiene demasiados puntos en contra, la escasez de modos de juegos y contenido no se veía desde un juego de nintendo 64, además de que la IA es terrible en especial la del portero, las promesas de contenido gratuito no vale con el estado actual del juego, ningún Mario de deportes urgía así desde el Mario tennis de la Wii U

    This is a very awsome game for my first mario strikers game.the awsome mario themed satdiums,the gear customizations the strikers club starts tommorow,the cup battles were fun,we are getting more characters and not many months on end because we are getting maybe 10 characters I would tell everyone play this high experienced,better than fifa and is an awsome game

    Very disappointing. There's the frame of a great game here; the core game-play is fantastic. However, everything else is awful. Barely any content and completely broken AI. Single player difficulty options are normal (incredibly easy) and galactic (next to impossible).

    Roster is bare bones, there's a complete lack of single player content. No option to turn off items/hyper strikes on cup modes. The game cube version had this over a decade ago.

    It's a great game if you don't want to play too long against a pretty erratic AI. It's disappointing to not be able to control the goalie as well. The online features are excellent. Plus there's the promise of an expanding range of available Nintendo characters for free. A perfect choice for parties. [Issue#320]

    I was really looking forward to Mario Strikers: Battle League, and for the most part it has been a worthy successor, but it’s a little hampered by the complexity of the gameplay. Even scoring goals can be a bit difficult overall. Soccer is definitely not known for high-scoring affairs but it is simply too difficult to score goals in the time allotted. This does seem to be different from what I remember in the previous games. It was a bit easier to score goals and that is definitely missed. There’s a balance that sports games need to strike, but Battle League does tend to be just a bit more difficult. Still, there is a lot to love about Mario Strikers: Battle League, but it almost made me want a remaster of the first two games more than anything.

    Nostalgia is a dangerous thing. In our memories, 'Super Mario strikers' on our Gamecube was the best of the best, unmatched and wonderful. Fair is not fair, as it sets the bar extremely high for 'Mario strikers battle league'. But there's more: this game feels like it's not quite finished.
