    This game is exactly what I was hoping for in a sequel to Charged. The mechanics in this game are finely tuned and they feel very, very good. This game really nailed down the mechanics so you'd enjoy playing it over and over again - not unlike other popular online games like Rocket League. In terms of online play, it's so much better than its' predecessor's. There isn't an established metaThis game is exactly what I was hoping for in a sequel to Charged. The mechanics in this game are finely tuned and they feel very, very good. This game really nailed down the mechanics so you'd enjoy playing it over and over again - not unlike other popular online games like Rocket League. In terms of online play, it's so much better than its' predecessor's. There isn't an established meta of just using Boo, Dry Bones, and Hammer Bros like there was in Charged - a lot of the very gimmicky things from Charged have been subbed for more balanceable mechanics now, and you can customize your roster to have the strengths that you want on your team.

    Really, really well made game. Only complaint is that you can't do 4v4 with 8 switches, it only works with 4. I don't have 3 other friends that want to play this game competitively with me so that's a non-issue, but if you're looking for that, you won't get it. Maybe in an update later.

    For single player, the galactic cups really offer a challenge similar to Strikers Charged's Striker Cups. Very rewarding and infuriating just like the old game. Probably less infuriating now actually since you don't have to deal with the stupid stage gimmicks where they just decide to destroy your Dry Bones until the next goal.    … Expand

    I'm glad daisy isn't in this game. ever since daisy got in smash and waluigi didn't, the daisy fans have been acting all high and mighty. it's about time someone knocked them off their high horse. also, nice soccer game.

    I'm giving this a higher score to balance the negativity a bit, but I'd have given it a 7,5 or so, it's not the greatest game ever made, but it never set out to be. Saying 10 characters, which is without free DLC, isn't a lot and the game is therefore bad is basically like saying your delicious ice-cream wasn't big enough and therefore it wasn't nice.

    Daisy isn't in the game at launch. Daisy is the reason all Mario games are bad. Mario Tennis Aces has Daisy, no one likes it, Mario Golf: Super Rush has Daisy, no one likes it. But this game finally doesn't include Daisy, and its rthe best Mario Sports game in over a decade.

    Great game with fun mechanics, one of the best multiplayer games for the console and waiting for the upcoming updates. If you love football, you'll love this game and if you don't love the spot, you'll love this game as well!

    This game is an absolute blast and I have so much fun the gameplay and the animations are so super epic I recommend getting this game because it’s got amazing online 2v2 co-op battle, excellent customization, epic rock and roll music and stunning graphics at its core also fans have been dropping really evil review bombs

    This is a very awsome game for my first mario strikers game.the awsome mario themed satdiums,the gear customizations the strikers club starts tommorow,the cup battles were fun,we are getting more characters and not many months on end because we are getting maybe 10 characters I would tell everyone play this high experienced,better than fifa and is an awsome game

    Man, this game is amazing! I have more than 50 hours of gameplay. For me the game just need a bit more of avaliable content and be a little cheaper, but the fun is amazing, the funniest sports game that I've ever played for sure. Also, the graphics are awsome

    The game looks and plays great too I'll even go so far as to say that it has better gameplay than Fifa and even Fifa itself I can take a liking to especially in terms of annual release and pay to win.
    Only now comes the negative part of the game: The single player content is one of them. There are only 12 trophies to get    After 15 years, Nintendo has brought this game back from the dead.

    Only now comes the negative part of the game: The single player content is one of them. There are only 12 trophies to get in total. 6 beginners to advanced, that's what I want to call them first and then 6 galaxy trophies professional champions.
    There are only 10 characters and that's pretty weak because the more important characters like Bowser Jr. and Daisy are completely missing in the game.
    In addition, there are only 5 stadiums, which is very little for a €60 game.
    You can't complain about the multiplayer, the idea with the Strikers Club that you can create your own club and then try to become the best club in the seasons that are to come and later scour for rewards is a huge plus.
    In the end I have to say that it's not worth 60€ for this content and you don't have to change anything about it, but all in all the game is a good game for what it wants to be    … Expand

    This may be one of my favorite Mario Strikers games. While it has an incredible lack of content and characters, the art-style, gameplay, and soundtrack are all the best. I havent tried the online, considering online Nintendo games are always mixed, but I have already put tons of time into the game.

    C'est un jeu que j'attendais beaucoup, étant fan du premier opus, celui-là ne m'a vraiment pas déçu. Le gameplay est toujours aussi bien avec les objets et les hypers frappes. Le seul point négatif de ce jeu est qu'en mode solo, il devient assez vite ennuyeux, il n'y a pas beaucoup de personnages ni de maps, et c'est vraiment dommage. Néanmoins le jeu reste excellent

    Don’t listen to the reviews that say this game is horrible. The complaints they have are laughable. Horrible physics? Nonexistent. Bad graphics? Are you kidding? This is the best looking and animated title we’ve gotten on the switch in awhile. Bad online? While it’s not perfect it’s definitely the best online Nintendo has had for a game. Reviews have also stated that the developers areDon’t listen to the reviews that say this game is horrible. The complaints they have are laughable. Horrible physics? Nonexistent. Bad graphics? Are you kidding? This is the best looking and animated title we’ve gotten on the switch in awhile. Bad online? While it’s not perfect it’s definitely the best online Nintendo has had for a game. Reviews have also stated that the developers are “greedy” which I find sad. Next Level Games is not the one at fault here. Do they really think they decide the price and the time frame they will have to compete this game? It’s Nintendo’s fault that there is a lack of content here at launch. Unfortunately though, I cannot in good faith give this any better than a 8 at the moment. I would say my actual score is 7.5/10 as the content is certainly lacking at launch. While the single player (in my opinion) is much better than the first game, it does not compare to Charged’s Road to the Striker Cup, and as far as characters and stadiums go, there’s just not enough, but luckily more will be added later down the line. On top of this, as a rock fan, I love the soundtrack. Is Charged’s soundtrack better? Yes, but this soundtrack is very good in a different way. The fact that true 4v4s with 8 consoles is not possible is annoying as Nintendo clearly made it seem as though it was, but I definitely could see this being added if the competitive scene continues to rise and sales are doing good. Overall I would say if you’re a big Strikers fan/Mario Sports fan, then you definitely can pick this game up now. It’s a ton of fun with friends and family and since 4v4 is possible locally it’s a great party game. But if you’re a casual looking for a game full of content such as characters and stadiums, then I suggest you wait for the updates to be added later down the line. 7.5/10… Expand

The gameplay is fantastic, the visuals are great, the music is good, the animation and style is still here, it really is just Mario Strikers on Switch! While I’m not the biggest fan of Nintendos “release the game now and fix it later” approach,While I do agree that there definitely should be more content at launch, compared to other Mario Sports games on Switch this one does a lot right! The gameplay is fantastic, the visuals are great, the music is good, the animation and style is still here, it really is just Mario Strikers on Switch! While I’m not the biggest fan of Nintendos “release the game now and fix it later” approach, they at least didn’t forget the parts that made this series to special in the first place. Even so, I believe this game isn’t entirely directed towards the casual audience. For example, even though there are a lack of character options at launch, the variety of gear to basically change your characters stats as well as basic stage layouts will develop a competitive scene, as the stages aren’t too crazy and the characters can be changed for your team. Already for the first week of the game coming out people are already developing teams and strategies. This game also seems to target towards a party setting, especially with the 4v4 local multiplayer option. With the fact that there are little to no single player content, it doesn’t seem like it was made towards the casual audience, which is the majority of the reviews of this game. The lack of content is still a downside, but it makes a lot more sense if you account for the target audience.

    Mario Strikers Battle League for the Nintendo Switch is the latest instalment in the Mario Strikers Series developed by Canadian developer Next Level Games. After a 15-year long gap between this and the previous entry Mario Strikers Charged which released for the Nintendo Wii, it was really exciting to finally be getting another game in this beloved series. After such a long wait, do I feel the game is as enjoyable as I had hoped? Or is it a disappointment in line with the previous few Mario Sports games?

    Gameplay-Wise, I would give this game a 10 out of 10. The controls are fast and responsive and scoring goals feels really satisfying. The game is really technical and could potentially be tough for newcomers to master as a result but I thought it made the game really engaging once I finally got the hang of it. Luckily, the game has a very detailed training mode that explains all the game’s mechanics in-depth. The only issue is that the AI for the Boom Boom goalies feels a little unpolished. I sometimes find it too easy to score goals even though it didn’t make it any less satisfying. Perhaps the developers didn’t realise this and it could be patched in the future but as of now, no such patch has been announced. In addition, I really like the gear system. It really allowed me to change up my gameplay style however l saw fit making the game much more enjoyable, even though it made some characters a bit on the exploitable side making it almost impossible to win online matches without it. The graphics are also a huge plus keeping up with the amazing graphics from Luigi’s Mansion 3 also developed by Next Level Games. The character animations, while obviously not as over the top as the previous games, still had me laughing out loud with how expressive they were. Watching Toad launching into the air and head-butting the ball into the ground never gets old. Not to mention Donkey Kong’s amazing victory dance. And of course, Waluigi is just a beautiful work of art in every possible way. Unfortunately, there aren’t many animations for each character and chances are you will have seen most of them after just a few matches but they developers definitely went with quality over quantity. I also enjoyed the online play. While it is a pity you can’t play 4v4 with friends like you can offline, I still had a blast going up against random people and testing my skills. The online runs well too as I had no performance issues while playing and the game ran basically the same as it did offline. If online play isn’t your cup of tea however, the offline play is still enjoyable. The game allows for up to 8 players locally and offers several different customisation options for each match. There is even a tournament mode with several different themes. For instance, in one tournament you go up against teams with really high strength stats making them difficult to tackle whereas in another, you go up against teams with high technique stats. Beating these cups will earn you large amounts of coins which can be used to purchase new gear. You even unlock a harder difficulty after beating all the cups. While I did enjoy the tournament mode, I do wish there was a more robust single player campaign instead similar to those found in Mario Tennis Aces or Mario Golf Super Rush. It would also be nice if you could enter tournaments online. This ties into my biggest problem with the game being it’s amount of content.

    Content-Wise, I would give this game a 7 out of 10. While the content we do have is great, I seriously wish there was more of it. I am well aware that there has been confirmation of more content coming to the game in the form of free updates however at the time of this review, none of said content has been announced or given a release window so the content included in said updates is currently unknown. As it stands now, the game only has 10 characters and 5 stadiums which is not terrible but it is the lowest the series has had yet. As mentioned earlier, I feel the game could greatly benefit from a more robust single player. Perhaps an adventure mode in which your chosen team leader and members have to journey across the world in order to become world champion football players. Obviously it could go deeper than that but I feel even a simple premise like that would make for an excellent story mode. Again, Next Level Games definitely prioritised quality over quantity and what we have currently is already great.

    Overall, Mario Strikers Battle League is the most fun I’ve had with Mario Sports games in a very long time. The skilful, fast-paced gameplay and solid online are going to keep me coming back to the game often. All I hope for now is more of the same quality. And in terms of online, it's way more balanced and there isn't just a meta of using Boo, and a lot of gimmicks from Charged have been reworked, and you can even customize your character. I KNOW D*m**ch is gonna see this and clown me because (Old game flawless, new game bad in every way), but whatever. The Galactic cups are very challenging and give off the same vibe as the Strikers Cups from Charged, which is VERY rewarding.

    However, i'm only giving this game an 8/10 and not a 10/10 because I can't deny there are some issues with the game. The roster could have some more characters, especially to minimize the chances of there being dupe characters in online matches, the different terrain is a tad bit dull compared to the different stages with different gimmicks from the old Strikers games, and Boom Boom suddenly forgets how to be a goalie at times. However, those are not a big deal, and unlike D*m**ch i'm not gonna have an aneurysm just because a game made in 2022 isn't like it's predecessors from long ago.

    So yes, I love the game, and yes, I acknowledge the problems the game has. But to D*m**ch and any of his fans watching this, that gives you absolutely NO right to tear down other people for simply finding enjoyment in a game instead of making 500000 rants videos with the exact same title just 2 slightly different words, with some cringeworthy ass PNG fighting scenes. Y'all are always about "Nintendrones not being able to respect opinions hurr durr" but switch up when it's an opinion YOU disagree with. Take a dang breather and stop getting all pissy because people dare enjoy a game in 2022 that isn't a complete replica of a game made all the way back in freaking 2007.     The gameplay is tight and very fun, but the game is sadly let-down by a lack of content for single-player. A league mode would have added some longetivity. More charachters also would have been a bonus, but there are two more DLC updates reportedly coming before the end of 2022, so one can only hope.

    Lo bueno:
    - Primero que todo este tiene tremendo gameplay, puede adaptarse de muy buena manera tanto a principiantes como a jugadores avanzados, tiene mucha profundidad a nivel competitivo, pero no es necesario aprenderse todo si solo te quieres divertir, solo que si no te saltes el tutorial para que al menos te puedas defender.
    - Las animaciones son maravillosas, tienen tanto detalle, muestra mas personalidad a los personajes del mundo de Mario que en lo general son muy planos, Next Level Games realmente le encanta mostrar otras caras en ellos.
    - El online por muy raro que suene funciona bien, tendrás uno que otro lag en algunas partidas ya que bueno es Nintendo y ya sabemos como funciona su red arcaica.
    - La idea del equipo es buena, ya que si te gusta usar un personaje pero quisieras cambiarle sus stats para competir de manera distinta pues puedes hacerlo con el equipo.

    Hasta aquí lo bueno.
    Se nota que quieren enfocarse en el multijugador online ya que tienen la opción de tener tu club o unirte a uno para competir en los partidos de temporada, ganar monedas del juego y ganar rangos, esperemos que todo salga bien con este modo ya que, a la fecha escrita esta reseña, la temporada todavía no ha empezado para que los jugadores puedan adaptarse.
    El juego también brilla en su multijugador local, ahí es donde se crea todo el caos del juego, créeme que será una tarde con tus compas memorable.

    Ahora viene lo que puede mejorar:
    - Contenido muy escaso: Si ya se la típica queja del contenido, pero es la verdad, el juego tiene un muy poco contenido offline, solo esta el modo copas que te lo podes terminar un par de horas que lo único que ganas con ello son monedas ¿Y de ahí que? Y no me vengas con eso de que "El primero era así ¿De qué te quejas?", no hermano, de hecho el Super Mario Strikers tenia como mínimo desbloqueables que eran los estadios y el Super Team, y en el Mario Strikers Charged lo hicieron mucho mejor, rebajaron el numero de copas a solo tres, cada una mas dificil y larga que la anterior, eso si cada una llevaba consigo un personaje nuevo y un nuevo estadio.
    - Muy pocos personajes: En anteriores juegos antes solo había un capitán que era uno de los personajes principales como Mario, Luigi o Peach y tres asistentes, los Toads, Hammer Bros., Birdos, Koopas, etc. Acá cambiamos a que todos son un equipo, Mario, Bowser, Wario y Peach pueden ser un solo equipo, el primer personaje que elijas seria como la cara de equipo. El cambio no es molesto en si, sin embargo, solo hay diez personajes jugables hasta el momento, lo cual es un bajón del anterior ya que habían 9 personajes y 3 desbloqueables que daban en total 12 personajes. Aquí pasamos a solo diez y como ahora todos se pueden elegir pues eso hace el repertorio se vea muy pequeño, creo que unos 12 a 15 personajes de inicio hubieran sido aceptables y que unos 5 mas sean DLC. Al mismo tiempo que los pocos personajes...
    - Pocas animaciones que pueden caer en la repetición: En anteriores títulos habían al menos de 4 - 6 animaciones de anotación y dos de derrota, por personaje, en Battle League solo hay dos animaciones de gol, una de derrota y una de victoria. Como dije son maravillosas, pero esperemos que el contenido nuevo también venga con nuevas animaciones para los personajes.
    - No hay mapeo de botones: Ya llevo muchas veces equivocándome con los botones, como estoy acostumbrado a pasar con A y tirar con B a veces confundo ambos.
    - No hay 4 vs 4 en el Online: Eso si es un problema, ya que Nintendo esta vendiendo este juego por su online, pero solo puedes hacer equipo de 2 vs 2, es decepcionante.
    - La IA puede ser tonta a veces: En varios partidos los personajes controlados por la computadora incluyendo el portero pueden quedarse quietos de repente y no hacer nada, el portero de paso no siempre defiende bien la portería como los anteriores, una vez hice un Hiperchutazo en su porteria en serio.

    Bueno eso es lo que opino de este juego, yo no puedo dejar de jugarlo, incluso sin mucho contenido no se que es lo que me hace volver a el y echarme unos partidos, tal vez en el fondo si estoy feliz de ver esta saga volver y esperemos que Nintendo no tome a mal el criticismo, solo también seria bueno que el precio de $60 estuviera justificado con un juego algo corto en el offline y esperemos que este juego no muera. Yo lo recomiendo para jugar con o contra amigos pero le doy una nota media por ser muy corto en comparación con el anterior. Si el contenido nuevo vale la pena cambiaré la nota.    … Expand

    I am upset at how little is in the game and that they're slowly realising it through free updates. HOWEVER. I love the game and have over 100 hours so it was worth the price for me. if you can get this game used super-cheap it's a really technical and addicting game that i think is worth it

    The core gameplay is really fun, but there's really not a lot to do. No actual single-player campaign or anything, just regular matches against other people or CPUs. The lack of characters, stage variety and modes make this feel kind of like a demo.

    We shouldn't let Nintendo release unfinished games and ask $60 for them

    El día que Nintendo anunció la tercera entrega de la franquicia Mario Strikers tras 15 años desde su último juego nos la prometímos muy felices y, aunque a nivel personal me ha encantado porque sabía lo que compraba, hay que advertir de ciertas cosas. Empecemos con lo bueno: La jugabilidad está realmente bien trabajada, las acciones básicas, los objetos y los    Un retorno ¿triunfal?

    El día que Nintendo anunció la tercera entrega de la franquicia Mario Strikers tras 15 años desde su último juego nos la prometímos muy felices y, aunque a nivel personal me ha encantado porque sabía lo que compraba, hay que advertir de ciertas cosas.

    Empecemos con lo bueno:

    La jugabilidad está realmente bien trabajada, las acciones básicas, los objetos y los hipertrallazos forman un cóctel exquisito de diversión jugable pero esto es solo la punta del iceberg, filigranas, autopases y combinaciones de todo tipo se ponen al alcance del jugador para dominar el terreno de juego.

    Luego está el cuidadísimo apartado gráfico y visual con unas animaciones preciosas en las cinemáticas, los hipertrallazos, las celebraciones de gol etc... y el genial diseño de los personajes de Nintendo para este juego destacando pequeños detalles como por ejemplo el pelaje del cuerpo de Donkey Kong.

    Hasta aquí sus virtudes que no son poca cosa ya que estamos hablando de un título que nos ofrece una gran profundidad jugable y que además entra por los ojos con un apartado visual cuidado al detalle. Ahora bien, tiene un gran pero... apenas hay nada que hacer fuera de las partidas online.

    La falta de contenido: Literalmente solo hay 2 modos de juego; Copas y Club Strikers. El primero es un recorrido por 6 copas de 3 o 4 partidos cada una sin dificultad alguna en su primera vuelta, una vez terminado se desbloquea el modo galáctico que es una segunda vuelta por los mismos torneos con una dificultad ahora sí más desafiante, estos últimos partidos en modo galáctico sí son divertidos y retantes.

    El segundo modo es la piedra angular del título, literalmente podría llamarse Mario Club Strikers en lugar de Battle League ya que la mayor parte de las horas que le echemos al título las pasaremos en esta modalidad. Puedes unirte a un club o crear el tuyo propio, hay rankings clasificatorios, divisiones y personalización del estadio (aunque esto último no se nota cuando estás jugando)
    Es muy divertido "picarse" con otros clubs por conseguir la mayor puntuación al final de cada temporada (que dura una semana cada una) He jugado más de 100 partidas en línea y he de decir que funciona perfectamente no hay caídas ni ralentizaciones de ningún tipo.

    Luego están los partidos libres de toda la vida y los accesorios que no es más que una especie de "vestidor" donde comprar equipamiento para nuestros personajes a cambio de las monedas que ganamos por cada partido.

    En realidad estamos ante un esport de Nintendo, si no tienes acceso al online o no eres una persona que te guste competir te cansarás rápido ya que no hay prácticamente nada más que hacer.

    ¿A quienes se lo recomiendo?:

    Personalmente se lo recomendaría a aquellas personas que gusten de pasar horas compitiendo en las temporadas online, si por el contrario piensas jugar de manera individual o solo por diversión quizá no sea la mejor opción para tí ya que el juego no hace mucho por contentar a este último grupo de jugadores.

    Conclusión:

    Mario Strikers Battle League Football es un juego enfocado única y exclusivamente al multijugador online competitivo, si tienes pensado comprarlo olvídate de todo lo que sea salirse de ahí, el gameplay es sumamente divertido y los gráficos y animaciones una delicia pero su falta de contenido y un online con margen de mejora (al momento de publicar esta reseña) lo alejan de la grandeza que podría haber tenido. No obstante aquellos jugadores que disfruten de los esports y la competencia multijugador encontrarán uno de los juegos más divertidos y adictivos del catálogo de Nintendo Switch.

    El gameplay es muy divertido pero lamentablemente tiene demasiados puntos en contra, la escasez de modos de juegos y contenido no se veía desde un juego de nintendo 64, además de que la IA es terrible en especial la del portero, las promesas de contenido gratuito no vale con el estado actual del juego, ningún Mario de deportes urgía así desde el Mario tennis de la Wii U

    The game's graphics and animations may seem the only silver lining to this entry, the game feels incomplete in many ways, and even though it gets updates with characters every so often, it's not worth the price tag compared to its past entries. The score reflects what fun gameplay and little content the game still has.

    Quality of character animations is very very good. Cool cut scenes after a goal. The game play feels ok, when you have the ball.
    Negative: For a full price title, it's just not enough polished in every other aspect except animations. The game play is often very random, shooting lacks feedback. Some reasonable markers for the players would have been better to track the    Positive:
    Quality of character animations is very very good. Cool cut scenes after a goal. The game play feels ok, when you have the ball.

    Negative:
    For a full price title, it's just not enough polished in every other aspect except animations. The game play is often very random, shooting lacks feedback. Some reasonable markers for the players would have been better to track the players better. It happens often that you lose track of the ball, especially when the goal keeper has the ball. It lacks a bit strategic variation and the cups are a bit boring. The selections before the game are annoyingly long, with gears without gears, some characters can be used multiple some only once, always four time.

    Music is ok, if you like light rock/metal, else it could be rather meh.

    I prefer Dash Cup Kickers, the demo even has more stadiums than battle league and plays faster and lighter with only 2 players, also dashing and shooting is way more fun.    … Expand

    Fantastic gameplay, but lackluster single player makes me regret buying it. I don't love online play, so there's not much to do in this game for me.

    A career mode, story mode, or even league mode would've been great, but as it stands:

    No geral eu me diverti (estressei) no jogo, o que é um bom sinal, mas rolaram uns gols muito c*g*d*s por parte da CPU, inclusive sendo até um pouco injusto as vezes, mas isso eu relevo, pq a dificuldade mais difícil é pra ser assim mesmokkkk mas o jogo acaba muito rápido, até mesmo com dois modos, e não tem mais nada pra fazer no single player além das copas.

The game is not a bad title, but viewing this from a single-player experience I did not enjoy the game nearly as much as I had hoped.     Why oh why are my teammates such total idiots on the field. They do not attack, they do not walk themself free. Even the game can not figure out wich character on the field i want to be, when I'm trying to get the ball back. Meanwhile, when you play against the AI it feel like you are playing against five individual players at the same time. Lots of fun very close to the original game with small differences like the characters not being able to do their hyper strike whenever they want, instead being replaced by a Smash-like power up.     The game seems to be not finished, it lacks game modes, it does not have an individual online ranked mode. He lacks a league, only cups. It's half of a game.

    Animations/presentation top notch, gameplay fun and with as much depth as it has problems, content is basically non existent. All in all solid but price tag way too high for what is offered. This is not a full price game. Or rather it shouldn't be.

    - Gear is not unique to each character.
    - You might be set up against a duo when playing solo online. This might be a disadvantage from start if you're playing against a skilled duo because of the ability to place characters around the stage. Why not just have 1v1 and 2v2 modes?

    All in all the game is a fun gameplay experience with SOME of your favorite Nintendo characters from the Mario Strikers series, but the lack of content and modes drags this otherwise very enjoyable game down to a just above average package. And that is if you enjoy online play. If you're just looking for a single player experience this is not worth your time and money. I don't really care about free DLC down the line. If I get tired of this game, a new playable character or a different course is not going to change that. It's a bad trend Nintendo has started with releasing games lacking of content and then promise free dlc in the future. What's next? A new Mario kart with 10 stages and 6 playable characters at launch with promises of free dlc down the line? At full price? No please, at least give us the same amount of content as in the previous game in the franchise.    … Expand

    I see were they‘ve gone with the changes in overall gameplay and I like those ideas, but the overall feeling was so much nicer and felt more fun and intense in the previous game for the Wii. It’s okay but I wish that they might improve some of the game over time

    Un juego con una base jugable buenísima, pero con unas carencias enormes debido a decisiones que no tienen ningún sentido. Es muy adictivo y siempre quieres un partido más y, cuando empiece la temporada competitiva, lo será aún más. Pero el juego tiene cosas que es para poner directamente en la calle al que tomó las decisiones:

    - Escasísimo contenido. Hasta el punto de parecer que el juego está a medias.
    - Que no tenga un modo torneo/liga personalizable y con selector de dificultad.
    - Que no tenga un modo ranked individual. Vamos, exactamente igual que el de partido rápido, pero con categorías. En serio, que costaba incluir algo así?.
    - No poder jugar 4vs4 online. Yo creo que esto debe de ser por evitar problemas de conexión, porque no tiene ningún sentido.
    - Que el cursor de cada jugador en el online no sea de un color distinto.
    - Creo que las temporadas clasificatorias sólo durarán una semana. Me parecen CORTÍSIMAS, vamos, que la mitad del tiempo, no hay competición. Que menos que 2-3 semanas de competición y 1 de pretemporada.

    Hasta aquí son cosas muy básicas, que no cuesta nada incluir y que mejorarían el juego muchísimo.

    Luego quedaría todo lo relacionado con las funcionalidades del online (chat de voz, invitaciones/mensajes a amigos o miembros del club, etc). Esto, obviamente, lo doy por imposible con Nintendo. Pero lo de arriba es que no me jodas, no entiendo como pueden haber tomado esas decisiones.

    Si reaccionan rápido y arreglan estas cosas, se quedará un gran juego. De lo contrario o promueven mucho el competitivo online de alguna forma o morirá pronto.    … Expand

    Buen gamepla y los controles son simples.
    Es divertido, tiene una gran profundidad en sus mecanismos, las animaciones in-game son muy buenas y el Online es muy bueno. La IA es muy básica y a veces las indicaciones son confusas. Tiene muy poco para un sólo jugador.

Nintendo have said that there will be free future DLC to come but thats not good enough considering there are only 2 modes u can play at release. Those two modes are cpu or online battles.     -Include incentive to play(e. G. Level and profiles, think of fall guys) into the next update

    -Make the play field bigger, so there is more room and time with low intensity while playing.

    -Communicate UPDATE-ROADMAP to fix game being barebones

    I can't say much since I only played the play test and this is the first Mario strikers game I've played. But I agree with the other reviews. The gameplay is fun (Though Hard to master) the graphics are good, but the lack of content is OUTRAGEOUS. No single player it's completely online. The character roster is ridiculously small unlike Mario tennis aces (and from what I've heard, theI can't say much since I only played the play test and this is the first Mario strikers game I've played. I have to say it's getting harder and harder to expect good stuff from Nintendo, for example the last GOOD Mario bros. game was Super Mario 3D world on the Wii U and that was re-released on switch. I have to say in U.S Dollars it's probably worth $25 Not $60 in Canadian Dollars same thing it's probably only worth $30. Honestly just don't buy.… Expand

    The gameplay is good and can be a lot of fun, but there is nothing here! A 4 hour single player experience with the cups and then it's just quick play. There's not even online ranked available at launch! No unlockable characters or stages, barely any progression, and a lack of game modes. Nintendo sold us the beta version of the game for $60.

    Really disappointed. Lacking in content, online features are horrid! Was hoping for more online functionality, as we are now PAYING for an online subscription, but it’s as limited as it was on the Wii. I really hope future updates will fix the lack of content but I doubt it.

    It's a great game if you don't want to play too long against a pretty erratic AI. It's disappointing to not be able to control the goalie as well. The online features are excellent. Plus there's the promise of an expanding range of available Nintendo characters for free. A perfect choice for parties. [Issue#320]

    I was really looking forward to Mario Strikers: Battle League, and for the most part it has been a worthy successor, but it’s a little hampered by the complexity of the gameplay. Even scoring goals can be a bit difficult overall. Soccer is definitely not known for high-scoring affairs but it is simply too difficult to score goals in the time allotted. This does seem to be different from what I remember in the previous games. It was a bit easier to score goals and that is definitely missed. There’s a balance that sports games need to strike, but Battle League does tend to be just a bit more difficult. Still, there is a lot to love about Mario Strikers: Battle League, but it almost made me want a remaster of the first two games more than anything.

    Nostalgia is a dangerous thing. In our memories, 'Super Mario strikers' on our Gamecube was the best of the best, unmatched and wonderful. Fair is not fair, as it sets the bar extremely high for 'Mario strikers battle league'. But there's more: this game feels like it's not quite finished.
