Apr 30, 2022A good game, with a good selection of boards and mini-games. But the game really lacks content. Other than the online options, there are no additional game modes to enrich the experience. 5 boards and 10 characters is too few. Too bad, the game only does the bare minimum.
-
Mar 31, 2023I like this game, but I think the only way to enjoy it is to play in multiplayer mode, and that is because the game boards are only five. The minigames are fun overall. I don't know why, but I was expecting for something more.

Aug 31, 2023Mini games are good but the map boards arent very good and playing with computer characters sucks because they constantly roll high numbers.

Nov 14, 20215 boards from only Mario Party 1-3 and the boards are different from the original. Was looking forward to a full on blast-from-the-past, a bit disappointed

Nov 1, 2021At the start I thought it is finally a good mario party. But sadly it ended up beeing dissapointing again. Only 5 boards, too much randomness and suddenly everyone gets coins for everything, the items are way too cheap too. So coins are now irrelevant because you always have more than you can spend.
-
Nov 13, 2021If you want a sequel to Super Mario Party, you're going to be disappointed. No Partner Party, no extra modes, no unique character dice...No charm. It's a nostalgia trip, if that, and nothing else.

May 11, 2023Great game horrible players. As soon as they think they can not win they leave. This impacts who really wins and now AI has to fill gaps. Nintendo refuses to ban them.

Nintendo Force MagazineMar 7, 2022As a total package, Mario Party Superstars is indeed pretty super. But is it more super than Super Mario Party? That's the real question, now that the Switch is hosting two distinctly different Mario soirées. [Issue #57 – January/February 2022, p. 71]

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Feb 18, 2022A great party game that threw away the chains of unnecessary and counterproductive innovations from the previous episode. It relies on proven content from several previous Mario Party games, which works almost flawlessly in the new jacket. Maybe it would need more content, especially plating boards.

Feb 15, 2022Mario Party Superstars is basically a celebration of the Mario Party franchise. But technical issues still haunt the online multiplayer, besides the lack of attention regarding minor details, which ends up hindering the fun factor.
