    One of the very worst games to have ever graced this horrid Earth. Do not get it.

    I find this an interesting game but very gimmicky. This thing costs more than $150 in Australia (which is overpriced) and its not worth it at all. The camera quality sucks and very blurry, the 'AR radio signals' aren't very strong as it cannot go through my walls, meaning I can only play this game in my one and only hallway. The other problem is that the content just gets boring after aI find this an interesting game but very gimmicky. The other problem is that the content just gets boring after a while, it just feels like a prototype device that needs polishing. Making tracks are also a pain, it takes way too long and too long-winded. Oh yeah and you can break the game entirely too easily, if you knock a gate down, you ruin the entire course, if you crash into a wall, you damage it and gotta pay that $150 to buy a new one. I just feel that this is underpolished and a waste of money.… Expand

    Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit is one of the best case studies in augmented reality I’ve seen yet, at least as far as pure entertainment is concerned. It’s the Mario Kart you know and love, but with your home as the course—something that could have easily fallen flat or come across as a shallow gimmick, but instead manages to hit every note near-flawlessly. There’s nothing quite like racing around your own living room, throwing shells every which way and hitting those boost pads while weaving through your furniture and trying to dodge the cat that keeps trying to catch your kart.

    It's definitely an expensive purchase, but if you're willing to spend the money, it provides a unique AR gaming experience like no other. The software works well as long as you're near enough to the kart as it races through the track.
