Calidad Nintendo asegurada.

Let me start off with something so detailed and great, which is the cinematic cut-scenes. Seriously, it looks like a beautiful animated movie! The game-play is like the first and second game-play combined into this! The suction shot is really good and handy but the slam function takes a lot of the "Ghost-busters" action into just slamming ghosts back and forth. There are some tough puzzles along the way, but being logical and to think outside the box will solve it!
The story is overall great and the cast of different types of ghosts and portrait ghosts. The portrait ghosts (from the first game) are basically bosses but these bosses can be from easy and simple to really challenging and quite unique. The difficulty is tough and a bit challenging. It's quite a bit disappointing that the ghost battles (not boss battles) aren't hard enough, including towards the late-game content. Also, it feels there isn't enough ghosts battles, basically we need more battles with ghosts, it feels like I'm not encountering them enough per floor. Also, the game isn't scarier as the first two Luigi's Mansion games, but it's still scary!

Other than that the game is spectacular! From cinematic cut-scenes to fighting challenging and unique bosses, this game is fun, scary, unique and has marvelous graphics! So, I give this game a score of 9! [9]

I highly recommend playing this with a friend in co-op on the couch. Thats the way they intended to play the game.
The best thing about it, are the secrets tho. Some of them are quite challenging. I wished for more things to buy in the shop. It wouldve been nice if you had to find more upgrades for Luigis vacuum cleaner. Like increasing the smash damage or the suction power. That way the player wouldve had a sense of progression throughout the game.
But these are just minor downsides. I loved everything the game had to offer. It is really fun to play after all.

Each floor has it's own theme from discotheque and gym to something totally unexpected for an hotel like a pirate (including an ocean in it) and an Egyptian floor. However, some of the floors felt rushed compared to others and there's no big reason to keep exploring them after you beat its corresponding boss as collectibles gems and boos are kind of useless.

Anyway, it's a good game and I'm happy for what it is. For the next one, I'd really enjoy if they do something like a Metroid style exploration and hope they bring the polterpup back, he is hilarious.

You play as Luigi, Mario’s brother, and must rescue all your buddies from a big bad ghost in a haunted hotel who has captured them all, but the mechanics are wildly different from any sort of Mario game, as the gameplay centers around sucking up ghosts and other environmental objects using a vacuum cleaner, rather than platforming – indeed, Luigi can hardly jump at all.

The game is closest to a third person shooter; you use the left analog stick to move around and the right one to control your orientation. You have the ability to suck and blow using your vacuum cleaner, along with a flashlight that can temporarily stun ghosts, an alternate flashlight that reveals hidden objects, and a suction cup gun that can be used to pull on things. The core gameplay plays a bit like a third person shooter, as you try and orient Luigi in the right direction to aim and fire your vacuum cleaner or the various other things, but the range is short on most of the items and the broad suck of the vacuum cleaner means you don’t need a lot of precision.

This is a good thing, because the controls are rather awkward.

Third-person shooters follow players around in an over-the-shoulder kind of way because it makes it much easier to tell what you’re aiming at; however, because of the distant fixed camera in Luigi’s Mansion, it is easy to be oriented the wrong way and not do what you’re trying to do. This isn’t so bad while exploring the environment, but can be a bit frustrating in some situations where you rapidly need to switch directions and aim at something else. Luigi also doesn’t move around very quickly, which can make backtracking a bit tedious. This game does not have the fluidity of the mainline Mario games; instead, Luigi is a cowering, slow-moving creature (which is played for laughs a bit when you eventually rescue Mario and he starts jumping around like he does in his games).

The one thing I haven’t mentioned so far is Gooigi, a goo-construct clone of Luigi that you can spit out of his backpack after the first few stages. This adds an additional layer to the game, as Gooigi can squeeze through grates and gaps that Luigi cannot and ignore spikes and similar hazards, and also allows you to do some two-person puzzles by yourself, as you can have your goo duplicate go stand on a button or pull on a switch or whatever. This leads to some of the more interesting puzzles and boss fights in the game, as you switch between the pair to accomplish your tasks.

Unfortunately, the game shows you all of these things in the first third of the game, and the same is true of its enemies as well – there just isn’t a broad variety of them. There’s half a dozen main enemy types, but you beat almost all of them by flashing them with your flashlight then sucking up their ghostly tail, then smashing them repeatedly into the ground (sometimes hitting other ghosts in the process). The game tries to mix this up a little by having some enemies carry items, but the limited number of abilities you have means that these are all overcome either by sucking off the item or by using a “hop” (bursting your vacuum cleaner straight down) to blow stuff off, or using the suction cup to pull it away from them. You see all of these tricks early as well, and the game doesn’t really come up with anything new.

This is a problem, as it means that as you progress through most of the game, you’re just seeing the same old stuff in new 3D environments. And while the levels are pretty, your limited ability suite means that everything ends up playing out very similarly, moving around rooms, sucking up all the objects in the environment, and solving the odd simple puzzle or mini-challenge, none of which are particularly difficult.

The highlight of the game is the bosses, as there’s a reasonable variety of them (over 15 of them) and they all play out differently. They’re pretty short fights on the whole, but they all have unique designs and patterns, from a giant T-rex skeleton that chases you around to a ghost pirate shark that sometimes dives into its ship to try and eat you with the planking you’re standing on to a movie director who makes you fight Godzilla.

The problem is that the game otherwise all too often feels like a chore. The game is actually quite short and pretty small physically – you could beat the whole thing in 10 hours if you cared to, but you will probably take twice that to actually do so if you actually try and find everything. But the game is mostly tedious, vacuuming up everything in each room and using the other tools as needed, which can take a while, as the rooms are environmentally rich, and yet feel overall unrewarding, as for all their visual splendor, they're mechanically similar.

    Great
    1. Art style
    2. Creativity in level design. Each floor is basically a new area, the first couple are slightly similar but then they really switch up the pace that I was excited to see what was behind the elevator doors
    3. It's co-op after about an hour in, all the way to the end. I believe its as fun as solo if not better
    4. The online is worth checking out for a short while. There's mini games but those are local only (odd choice)
    5. Boss fights are unique. There isn't a lot of combat throughout the game but the bosses seem to always deliver

    Poor
    1. Control + Movement. Wow, what can I say. You would think it wouldn't be hard to figure out how to aim a light + vacuum at ghost, but IT DOES NOT work the way you'd expect a third person game should. My total play through was 18 hours and 50 some odd minutes, I had around 15-20 deaths, and more than 80% was because the combat, and mechanics just feel off. You always struggle to get Luigi to do what you want him to.
    2. Story is a simple as it comes.
    3. I'd like to see perhaps more cut scenes, or even voice overs. Not really a Nintendo/Mario thing
    4. **BACKTRACKING** It doesn't happen a lot, but towards the end of the game, they start to implement back tracking. You must find "this person" on "this floor" although you really don't know if you should backtrack as the game never implemented it to begin with. To knock it even more, one of the few times you do backtrack, its during a water level in which you must travel down a float, using strange controls with the vacuum. Punishment.
    5. There's achievements but i didn't really know where they were till towards the end of the game

Played whole game in coop with my wife, very fun game although by the end didn't like levels... Think it's much better in coop than in single player. One important thing, controls are horrendous, it baffles me that it's possible to release AAA game in 2019 with such bad controls. Also, graphics are probably the best so far on Switch.

Luigi's mansion 3 was a fun game, it's full of wacky, fun, and spooky characters. Personally, I think it would be better if it had voice acting, they haven't had a Mario game with it in a while.

Luigi's third adventure is filled with small delights from start to finish, and fans of the franchise will recognize and enjoy the core gameplay of capturing ghosts and solving puzzles. The small cast of characters are bursting with classic Nintendo flavor and the level of polish is exceptional.

The additional of a substantive cooperative mode option is a welcome addition, and extremely well designed for casual couch sessions. A second player can drop into the game at any time and take command of a 'copy' of Luigi with special abilities and a large room for error, perfect for a significant other or friend who is less skilled but still interested in playing alongside you.

Prop Art, Sound, and Animation are particularly delightful. I laughed out loud throughout as Luigi's knees quivered, ghosts shook nearby bookshelves, and toilet paper rolls exploded in response to my Poltergust vacuum rampage through a bathroom.

My two major complaints would be pacing and controls. The game dragged on a bit towards the end, with too little variation in the final third of the game. There were occasional frustrating spikes in difficulty - mostly related to the controls themselves. Working both sticks while trying to perform actions can be difficult at times, and launching projectiles accurately at enemies was often frustrating.

Overall, a delightful and lengthy adventure alongside Luigi and Professor E. Gadd with hilarious cameos from familiar faces in the Mushroom Kingdom cast. Recommended for fans of the franchises or newcomers alike, especially if you're embarking with a casual co-op partner.

I am still giving an 8 because is a solid game, my review is it is just my own experience, if I could try before for sure I would buy a different game Expand

It would have been nice if there were more upgrades/possibilities. And a pity that only multiplayer DLC's have come out, i want more single player pls.

If I had to sum up my thoughts in a single line, it would be: "This is a game I really enjoyed and am glad I played, but regret purchasing."

Pros: + Fantastic graphics. + Expressive characters. + Distinctive, enjoyable level design on each floor. + Fantastic platforming elements. + Good (but not great) story. + Great sound design, both soundtrack and sound effects. + Polterpup.

    + Fantastic platforming elements.
+ Good (but not great) story.
+ Great sound design, both soundtrack and sound effects.
    + Polterpup.

    Cons:
    - VERY SHORT campaign (finished in 19 hours, all Boos, 74/102 gems, all but one rare ghost).
    - Gameplay is extremely one note from beginning to end.
    - Collectible items are there to solely pad playtime.
    - Controls are often sluggish and imprecise.
    - No selectable user difficulty levels.
    - The low health beep sound effect is way too loud and annoying and can die in a ghost fire.
    - Multiplayer is poorly designed and half-heartedly tacked on.

All told, I'd give the total package a 7.5, perhaps rounded up to an 8 if I'm feeling generous. It's a decent enough title, but still second tier compared to other Nintendo properties like Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, or Splatoon 2.

The first game I played on the Switch and I loved it. Great gameplay, fun puzzles, beautiful graphics with cute and funny animations of Luigi and the ghosts or other characters. I’ve gone on record in the past to note that the original “Luigi’s Mansion” is not only one of my all-time favorite GameCube games, but that it’s honestly one of my personal favorite video games. It’s clever, it’s charming, it’s fun to play, the gameplay still holds up to this day, and it’s all just still a wondrous experience to behold even after almost two decades. While I did love thatI’ve gone on record in the past to note that the original “Luigi’s Mansion” is not only one of my all-time favorite GameCube games, but that it’s honestly one of my personal favorite video games. It’s clever, it’s charming, it’s fun to play, the gameplay still holds up to this day, and it’s all just still a wondrous experience to behold even after almost two decades. While I did love that game, though, at risk of sounding bad, I never did give “Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon” a shot, simply because I’m not as deeply rooted in handheld games like I was as a child (not counting the Switch, since the system is partially a home console and provides me with more games that feel like “console experiences” than “handheld experiences”). That said, the announcement of “Luigi’s Mansion 3” brought my excitement levels through the roof, as the prospect of a new console “Luigi’s Mansion” game was just too exciting to pass up. And having finally played and beaten the game, I can say it definitely delivered on my expectations!
“Luigi’s Mansion 3” delivers both as a console follow-up to “Luigi’s Mansion,” but also as a fun, charming, family-friendly “horror” game. No, the game isn’t very scary, but for a game about a haunted mansion, “Luigi’s Mansion 3” does do a nice job at creating an appropriate atmosphere, while also nicely eschewing some of the scary moments in favor of charm and lightheartedness. “Mario” games are not story-focused, and while this one doesn’t change that, it does feature some very witty and adorable moments thanks to its bright and memorable cast of characters (Polterpup’s antics are particularly adorable, too). The graphics are extremely sharp, being polished down to the littlest details and bursting at the seams with colorful designs. And from a gameplay perspective, “Luigi’s Mansion 3” retains the fun ghost-catching of the original game, with plenty of changes to help it feel fresh. Combat feels even better here, and the ghost catching feels even smoother as a result of the new options. The Poltergust’s many new control options, such as the Dark-Light, Suction Shot, and Burst are wonderful additions that are taken full advantage of during the game, and the game itself features a vast amount of content. The original “Luigi’s Mansion” was pretty short, but Nintendo’s chosen to beef this one out, and the result is a game that gives you plenty to do, and a lot to explore!
I will say that the game is definitely held back in a few areas. For starters, the controls can be a bit of a hassle to deal with, largely in certain aiming sections. There were more than a few times where I was pondering how a plunger I shot wasn’t lining up, or why the vacuum wouldn’t suck up an energy orb or something to that degree, and that really compounded itself towards the tail-end of the game. While I appreciated that the game was longer than the first, and that there was so much content within the game, many of the puzzles and boss fights near the end can be a bit too obtuse and frustrating to deal with. Sure, it feels good when you get through them, but don’t be surprised if you find yourself needing a guide to understand them.
Those faults aside, though, “Luigi’s Mansion 3” is nevertheless a wonderful game that lives up to its last console entry, and it definitely earns a hearty recommendation. If you’ve enjoyed the series up to this point, “Luigi’s Mansion 3” will surely stand tall among the other titles, along with the many excellent first-party titles on the Switch. It’s nice to see Nintendo bringing this franchise back (especially on a console this time), and here’s hoping they don’t take another 18 years to put another “Luigi’s Mansion” title on a console.
Final rating: 9 out of 10 “Awesome”

I only mention this because I feel there are probably others that passed on earlier Nintendo consoles, and may also be experiencing this series for the first time. What can you expect?

Mario + Ghostbusters, pretty much what you think. There are a few nagging issues (the controls are finicky and tough to get use to, and the MP mode is devoid of any campaign co-op option) but overall this game is incredibly satisfying and fun.

One thing that stood out was presentation. I'm a Nintendo fan, so I say this with love - Nintendo is terrible at presentation in games. I've never cared about Mario, Luigi, Peach or Toad as actual characters, and I doubt many others have either. However the amount of distinction they are given in this title is inspiring.

From Luigi's hilariously over the top "scared Italian" voice to Mario only speaking in Mario euphemisms - it was a delightful presentation of character that is sorely missing in other games they are featured in. The animations of Luigi are entertaining too - I just about died laughing the first time I noticed "scared face".

There is so much charm here its almost sickening, but its cut nicely by the dark and dreary atmosphere the game creates.

Difficulty is there, surprisingly. It doesn't ramp up until about halfway through - but that's still much sooner than most Nintendo FP titles that leave the difficulty spike for the last damn level.

There IS local co-op, in the form of one person handling the gooey and green Luigi variant "Gooigi" - but this also must be unlocked past the main campaign tutorial section.

The humor was a little more relate-able than usual, not really darker or more mature but certainly more encompassing of the adult players. Some references I'm sure no kid is going to understand.

Nintendo continued to be the "Disney" of gaming, creating entertaining and varying games from their staple cast of familiar faces. It's refreshing to find each time I pick something up - it feels fresh, not just a regurgitation of past ideas. Still the same for Luigi - and now I'll be a lifelong fan of this series as well.

    Worth a buy 8/10

The Bad : To me, the atmosphere of the first game is still non existent. The game lacks many spooks in favor of a more light hearted, comedic approach. To me, this is one of the main things that bothered me about the game. Also, the common ghosts you fought had very little variety, as there were only FOUR main types.

Visually, everything is crisp and vibrant and aesthetically varied. Each floor and room are distinct and unique and never feels repetitive. Fighting and slamming ghosts around and into each other is incredibly fun and satisfying. Exploration is nuanced and encouraged: you’ll find all kinds of things (sometimes very well hidden). Everything from combat, to exploration, to fighting bosses has this puzzle element to it where you’ll have to really pay attention and figure things out. For those completionists out there, there is plenty to find here.

My only critiques are that the controls can really take some time getting used to, and will still even then feel unintuitive; and that some puzzles/boss fights feel more like trial and error. These are just small complaints that I feel don’t detract from the game even the tiniest bit.

Simply put, Luigi’s Mansion 3 is a fantastic game that is just pure fun and charming that it continuously left a smile on my face. I can’t recommend this title enough, and I give it two big thumbs up!

Nice co-op and decent graphics. Much improved from previous games. Great family game but wouldn't enjoy it as much on a single player mode.

This is the first Luigis mansion that I have had the chance to play outside of the 3ds versions. The levels are enticing and so clever that I often find myself saying to myself...dang that was pretty clever. The bosses are well though out and the pacing is spot on.

Been a pleasurable experience to play at a slow pace and enjoy every single room that I enter, the only knock that I have had so far.. (approx. 9 hours) is the repetitiveness of the ghost battles, the bosses are great and you have to find the perfect way to defeat them but all the base monsters are defeated the same way. Although its a blast to beat them, a little bit of variety would have been welcome.

This game is pretty good, it's my second favorite game in the series. The first game will always be close to my heart so I don't think any of the sequels will quite live up to it, but this is a close second place. The thing I love the most is that they brought the bosses back, each floor has a unique boss fight and the majority of them are extremely fun. They got rid of the missions that were in the second game and you're free to explore the entire hotel which is a great improvement. They also rolled over the game mechanics from the second game and made Googi an essential part to the game. They also brought back puzzles which is great because that was my favorite part of the second game. I do have a few gripes with this game though, one of them being that some of the floors seem really empty with only a handful of rooms to explore. The game takes about 18 hours to complete if you get all the collectables which is a pretty decent run time, but the pacing feels a bit breakneck compared to the first and second games. The last boss is a mild pain to beat however, and probably could use a patch to make it a bit easier. Overall I really enjoy this game and have already recommended it to several friends and I'll recommend this game here too. Expand

Plain and simple: This game is AMAZING and a REQUIREMENT to anyone who has played any previous games in the series and enjoyed them. While the combat can be considered overly simplistic and so can the story, the variety of things that happen makes up for it. Every floor in the game manages to feel different and establishes itself as its own experience with its own puzzles and gimmics. Luigi is as goofy as hes ever been thanks to Charles and the team behind his animations, The Polterpup is here and all Luigis interactions with him are priceless! However there are 1 or 2 sections of the game that i could do without but those are few and far between. If you enjoyed the previous Luigis Mansion games ever a little, and you own a switch, then your gonna want to play this! Expand

This game is absolutely amazing. This game impressed me so much that I made a metacritic account and had to express my love for Luigi's Mansion. Luigi's Mansion hits all points of story, graphics, challenge, exploration, and amazing charm it has to offer.

What an amazing addition to the Luigi mansion games. Beautiful graphics, puzzles are good and sometimes difficult but it is such a fun game it didn't bother me when I got stuck. Glad I brought it and in my views up there as a top game of 2019 for the switch.

As always Nintendo delivered a very good game. Fun and deep gameplay with a nice design. Aboslutely funny use all the feature Liugi can do with his equipement. I bough Nintendo Switch only to enjoy the nintendo brand games. Nintendo is able to create a unique games with cool enviroments and very detailed characters. Luigi Mansion 3 can't miss in your Nintendo games.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I really loved the game. It's one of the best looking switch games to date. The only gripe about the gameplay is that it becames a bit repetative after a while and that the new slam move is overpowered. It not only damages the ghost that you hit, but it also stunts them and you can emidiatly suck them without needing to flash them again. I found the money to be quite useless in the game. It is only used to by boo trackers, gem finders and extra lifes. Other than that it is determants your rank at the end of the game. The majority of the boss fights were great exept the mechanic boss because of the cluncy controls. All in all, a great game that I enjoyed. Expand

Luigi’s third solo adventure is the ultimate evolution of it’s formula. A game well designed to be fun either playing alone or with company. Also, it’s visuals and ambiance are incredible.

Despite some misgivings with the extras, the actual core Luigi's Mansion 3 experience is one of the best adventures of 2019. [Issue #44 – January/February 2020, p. 64]
