Puntastic! A sweet little indie game where you play as Sarah, a little girl who writes letters and instant messages to her pen pal. You jumpPuntastic! A sweet little indie game where you play as Sarah, a little girl who writes letters and instant messages to her pen pal. You jump up and down the lines of the letters and play with words to progress. I really liked the hand-drawn art style: The letters are bordered with doodles which you can talk to and change by throwing words at them. Here, the developers show an immense attention to details: Colours change when you get near an illustration and even if an action doesn't advance the story it's very likely something funny will happen (you can create a pile of cats for no other reason than... well, the more cats the better, right?) You can also make various choices throughout the story. So I highly recommend doing a second playthrough to explore the backstories of Sarahs different friends and family members.
My only complaint is that the game mechanic gets a bit repetitive over time. Especially towards the end I felt it somewhat interrupted the flow to scan the text for that one specific word when I just really wanted to progress the story. But still, it's a short, inventive and beautiful game I can really recommend.
