    This game shows that Kirby should and should only be in 3d. This is such a fun game sure it may be a little easy but the quest that you can do to save more waddle dees make you go in the level over and over again which adds more time playing the game. everything about this game is great.

    Let me tell you something, this game is incredible.
    If you like kirby you are gonna love it. If is your first kirby you are gonna love it. If you play co-op with a friend or a family member they are gonna love it. This is just a good platformer, cute, looks good, plays great, every level feels very much different, the new powers are very cool... just play it.

    10/10 Better than Elden Ring

    Kirby is the perfect family-friendly game to play. Co-op is a joy with a sibling or family member. It's thanks to Nintendo we still get games for all ages. We rarely see that nowadays when everyone assumes videogames should be for "experienced gamers". Nope, Kirby is here whether you're 1-100 ;)

    Kirby and the forgotten land is an awesome platformer. This is the first fully 3D Kirby Game. The graphics are colorful and vibrant. The gameplay is great and makes a lot of fun. The new mouthful mode gives Kirby even more options.
    Yes, it´s on the easier side, but a game doesn´t have to be difficult all the time.
    In my opinion, the best Kirby game avaiable.

    I finished Kirby and the Forgotten Land, did all of the side content, and all of it was an absolute JOY to play. The gameplay was fun and fresh, the OST was constantly impressing me, the graphics/performance were superb, the town activities were great, and the Treasure Road trials were always a fun break from the main path. The game just keeps getting better as you play and the climax, toI finished Kirby and the Forgotten Land, did all of the side content, and all of it was an absolute JOY to play. The gameplay was fun and fresh, the OST was constantly impressing me, the graphics/performance were superb, the town activities were great, and the Treasure Road trials were always a fun break from the main path. The game just keeps getting better as you play and the climax, to my total surprise, made me cry a bit. The game was mostly easy, even on Wild Mode, but there’s more than enough challenge in the Treasure Roads and an extra few important things that I won’t name. The level design was the true star, in my opinion. All the levels were so intricately woven, disallowing mostly any backtracking if you’re skilled enough to 100% everything on the first attempt. Extremely streamlined, varied, and constantly engaging. Especially if you go in not expecting a super challenging game. To wrap up this very vague wrap-up of the game: the whole experience was unexpectedly phenomenal, even with high expectations.… Expand

    While I don't think Kirby ATFL is the most groundbreaking title in games, I think this is THE Kirby game to play!

    It really brings Kirby to a whole new level of greatness that wasn't really experienced in past titles. The copy abilities are especially interesting to see in 3D and act like new abilities. Oftentimes, Nintendo can be very stiff when it comes to adding brand new characters into a series (Looking at you, modern Paper Mario...) But to see new characters here is seriously great and I look forward to getting attached to them.

    The town aspect is also brilliant. It serves as a hub world and it's just incredible to just chill out in the village. Overall, this game is like a Kirby game but now in 3D so expect the typical stuff while adding a lot of new elements. It's probably the most refreshing Kirby game in a long time and is a must-play on Switch if you love Kirby or love 3D platformers.    … Expand

    This is the most fantastic Kirby game I have ever played; the mechanics are satisfying, the music is catchy, the polish is superb, and this game has some of the best bosses. Kirby feels better than ever in 3d. Also, the lore is intriguing. The only minor fault here is that there are only 12 copy abilities, but the upgrades make up for that.

    The game does absolutely everything right. The level design is great, the music is great, the story is great like just about everything is near perfect. I just wish that Mario also could do the same but a lot of his games suffers from basic game design and hopefully the next Kirby games will got me covered

    Probably the best kirby game. My son and i love to play this game together and the co op works well in this game. The game design is flawless and has a ton of replay value.

Nos encontramos ante un juego sencillo en cuanto a su dificultad incluso en la opción de mayor dificultad. Nuestro objetivo es sencillo, termina cada nivel habiendo conseguido el máximo número de objetivos que te indican antes de empezar cada partida. Si lo consigues progresarás adecuadamente en el juego, si no siempre puedes repetir el nivel y descubrir aquella zona que en tu primera partida pasaste desapercibida. Me gustaría recomendar el título tanto a aquellos que ya estén con otro juego como aquellos que no saben a qué jugar, especialmente a los primeros porque un juego como Kirby te ayudará a cambiar de nota, olvidarte del juego al que estás ahora inmerso, desbloquear tu mente y permitirte continuar después de un rato de chill.

    Puntos a mejorar: Regulero en el modo Dock con resolución baja y algún tironcillo, dificultad muy básica, falta de diálogos hablados.

    Kirby and the Forgotten Land isn't ground-breaking and it's fairly easy. However, neither of those things are necessarily faults and are instead how Kirby is essentially supposed to be. In other words, the developers have almost perfectly achieved what they set out to, which is make a charming, fun, replayable adventure and the transition to 3D has been done brilliantly.

    Das Spiel ist sehr an Mario Odyssee angehaucht von der oberwelt nur die levels sind sehr linear und selbst im wilden Modus doch sehr einfach was aber für die Zielgruppe gut knackig ist in manchen Boss Fights ich finde es ist das beste kirby Spiel was es gibt

    fazia muito tempo que não me divertida com jogos plataforma 3D da nintendo desde o falecido nintendo 64, sobre kirby nunca fui muito fã da bolinha rosa apesar do seu carisma, sempre achei todos os seus jogos meio parecido mais este novo em 3D me prendeu ao longo das 7 horas de gameplay, e tudo por mudaram o 2D por 3D ? não sei ao certo, mas toda a junção da franquia Kirby, com essesfazia muito tempo que não me divertida com jogos plataforma 3D da nintendo desde o falecido nintendo 64, sobre kirby nunca fui muito fã da bolinha rosa apesar do seu carisma, sempre achei todos os seus jogos meio parecido mais este novo em 3D me prendeu ao longo das 7 horas de gameplay, e tudo por mudaram o 2D por 3D ? não sei ao certo, mas toda a junção da franquia Kirby, com esses graficos cheio de carinho , trilha sonora boa, me pegaram , vai entrar pra lista concerteza de jogos casuais pra eu jogar e só matar o tempo, muito bom.… Expand

    Es un buen juego, pero es demasiado fácil. Le falta dificultad, no es tan fácil como el Kirby: Star Allies, pero aún así, sigue siendo MUY FÁCIL. Necesitamos un juego así pero con la dificultad del Kirby: planet Robobot, un juego desafiante, en este es muy fácil todo. Pero más allá de eso, es un buen juego

    This is an excellent platformer for the Switch. The visuals are really cool and polished like a good Switch game should be. The game is most similar to Super Mario 3d World rather than Odyssey. It does share some similarities with Odyssey such as the mini challenge levels and of course the ability to copy enemies' powers. In comparison, the individual levels are a lot longer, not timed, and have a lot of exploration emphasis to unlock various things. Not as much precision jumping style platforming but the varied power-ups are the main event here. I love the areas in this game, as a sucker for tropical beaches and other fun and visually appealing themes, and the visuals just don't quit. This game is generally forgiving in difficulty (I'm only on the 3rd world) and that combines with the overall well-calibrated layout to make it an accessible and pleasant experience for younger gamers, and enjoyable for gamers of all ages. The waddle-dee town is a fun hub world to hang out in and unlock features. I never played Kirby outside of Smash Bros but I dig the cute and funny concepts here. I really was blown away by this game as a Switch fan and a fan of 3d world style platformers and co-op games. If you enjoy good Nintendo games, this is one of them.… Expand

    No es muy complicado si no te pones auto limitaciones tipo dejar una habilidad después de recibir daño o no flotar demasiado y el diseño de niveles es muy bueno pero muy simple al mismo tiempo, no hay demasiado secretos o acertijos extremadamente complicados fuera de la ruta principal.

These games historically are not challenging at all and this follows suit until the end where it ramps up a tad. However, by that point, i was just done with it.     Objectively, this is a really good kirby game. Tons of content compared to other entries in the franchise. Good new original boss fights. I really like the upgrading abilities mechanic too, but as a long time fan of the franchise something just wasn't there for me.     This game takes some of the gameplay and feel of newer 3D Mario games, and meshes with the charm of the Kirby franchise. Many hidden secrets in each level and awesome ability upgrades keep you playing for hours. The co-op is also a nice feature that works really well.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Kirby Forgotten Land is an excellent time. This is a no-brainer for Kirby fans, but also an excellent time to jump in for newcomers.

    The gameplay is tight and responsive, the guard/dodge mechanics and counterstriking feels really good to pull off, and the powers are varied enough to keep the gameplay from getting stale. The visuals are eye candy with beautifully designed levels that kept pushing me forward from start to finish.

    Another positive is that this game actually has some difficulty to it, especially if you are going for the target times in treasure road stages. The coliseum gets pretty difficult in the post game as well which is very welcome. I enjoy the easiness of Kirby games personally, but its nice to have some challenge towards the end.

    My favorite thing about this game is waddle dee town and, by far, upgrading abilities. I was so curious as to what the transformations were and how they would change my powers that I actually grinded colosseum matches for upgrade stars in order to unlock every upgrade as soon as I received their blueprints.

    I do have some complaints however. The first complaint is the pool of powers, its a bit disappointing that sleep got in and spark, laser, water, rod, wheel, or yo-yo didn't.
    My second complaint is that he colosseum is just a rehash of all the battles from the main story mixed into a small gauntlet, which IS cool. However, It would have been perfect for legacy battles not affiliated with the story to be used, such as kracko, dark matter, marx, magolor, the squeak squad, etc. It does feature a meta knight fight that doesn't occur in the story but other than that its pretty bland. And there's only 3 (as far as I can tell, I haven't 100% the game yet so maybe there's another) so if you use the colosseum to grind upgrade stars, it can get pretty boring pretty quickly.

    My final complaint is really minor - during some of the cutscenes there are 0 sound effects. There's no sound effects coming from the beasts dashing at Kirby early in the game or Kirby sucking up the car, for example. There is a music track playing over the scene, but I thought it was a strange choice not to include sound effects for the character actions in some of the scenes.

    This game oozes charm every step of the way and is an extremely polished and enjoyable experience. There's a lot of value here as well, I'm in the high 90% for file completion and have almost 30 hours played (your mileage may vary). This is definitely the most time I've spent on a Kirby game in a single playthrough. I encourage anyone with a switch to check this game out. if you are a fan of Nintendo or Kirby or just platformers in general, you will like this game.

    I just beat the game. It was great! I love how the game is in 3d. I truly believe that the developers put their heart ands soul into it. I mean yeah it may not be mario 64 3dish but honestly it didn't need to be. It was still a somewhat open game. with the levels giving you plenty of room to explore. Sure, you can argue past games has the same "unskippable cutscenes", but this one takes it to a whole nother level.     This game is the Mario Odyssey of Kirby, the game and level design look incredible this game is way harder than most other Kirby games which have been a turn-off for me but I believe that they almost perfected the difficulty for me. I know these reasons might not carry over to other people but take it from as someone who has never played a Kirby before this game is amazing.

    I can't believe I'm writing this. I love Kirby games but the transition to full 3D movement was such a gigantic misstep on their part.

    1) Controls often don't register inputs and you're left wondering why attacks don't come out or your pipe isn't jumping. It happened so often I thought I was crazy. 2) The depth perception is really bizarre. So many times I would be running around and    I can't believe I'm writing this. I love Kirby games but the transition to full 3D movement was such a gigantic misstep on their part.

    3) Someone had it out for the casual audience. Wild mode? Mostly fine. CBT-levels of time constraints for bonus coins? Well those are for masochists I guess. Usually Kirby games wait till post game to show their hand like this. Strict time constraints on treasure road stages that allow for at most one mistake no matter what? Guys what are you doing?

    It's visually cute, has Kirby charm, the setting is almost entirely forgettable with very plain stages... and yet I wanted to play through it until the above glaring issues became too unbearable. Even classic Kirby on the Gameboy didn't play this poorly. I'd love to see a successor for Kirby in full 3D, but if they don't iron these issues out they're doomed to consecutive failure.    … Expand

    Before the game came out a watched a couple of trailers and was under the impression that it would be an open world. It's not. Some moments are fun, and some of the abilities are mostly enjoyable. The Treasure worlds feel like padding to me and personally, I don't like them.     It starts with the cut scenes, which lack any sound effects and just feel like they cheaply cut the budget. Was is a design decision? Probably, but it seems a very 3DS decision not a Switch decision. There was no practical reason to not have sound effects in the cut scenes and it just makes them feel broken or unfinished. The opening of the game has an anime like song and you lose track of what this game is supposed to be right away.

    This Kirby game the main focus is obviously two things, mouthful mode and the world. Which means the adventure, the music, and the characters all lack creativity. Take the easy going no challenge nature of every Kirby game you've played and turn it to max easy then make it so grandma will want to play the coop mode with you and you have your Kirby game.

    So let's talk about mouthful mode. It's cute, but boring. After the first time you encounter each of the modes you know exactly what to do and where to go for any secrets because it's always incredibly obvious. There's no interesting mechanics or unexpected creative things they did, it's just right in your face obvious. They repeat through a lot of levels and then bonus levels use them but after the cuteness of the first time they wear down and look like a gimmick. Other Kirby games up the weirdness or creativity of the powerups but this one just lays flat.

    Now onto the world. The graphics look sort of pretty but nothing ground breaking. Nothing Mario Odyssey level. In fact most levels have slowdown issues and framerate problems. The 3D of the world is more like an on rails 3D box like old school 3D games of long ago. It feels like if someone tried to remake Kirby Crystal Shards. It's like a 2.8D game and there's no openness or exploration. It feels very restricted and when you see things in the distance they don't run at full framerate.

    Still yet, the world gives you no plotline as you play. Why are you here? What is everything? Why is Kirby here? What's going on? Is this a different planet from other games? What is the point of the forgotten land? People talk about story, but there's no story it's just some cut scenes and text over the screen that barely explain anything. The story is disjointed and meaningless.

    The biggest failure of this game is the music. Kirby music is its own thing, a genre of itself. This was a desperate attempt to bring Kirby into the symphonic modern soundtrack like they did with Mario and it did not work. One main song plays over and over but with a slight difference depending on the world. It gets old fast. The music is boring and flat. It doesn't feel upbeat or wild like in every other Kirby game. I can name some of my favorite Kirby songs by their level and game but in this one the only good song was in some factory and it was like low key dubstep sort of. The only Kirby soundtrack I won't buy.

    It's fine if Kirby games are easy. Epic Yarn is one of my favorites and that was beyond easy but it was very Kirby and it was extra adorable. This one takes itself so serious and then stumbles out the door just to stare at a flower for a while. I beat this game in a few hours and while doing it finished most of the challenges leaving me with very little to do after one afternoon of play time. Wild mode is not wild at all. The only difficult thing is maybe one or two of the bosses but still, their patterns are very simple.

    I don't know what people love about this. It had a huge amount of potential and I was excited for an open world Kirby game which this wasn't at all. The controls are pretty unpolished and the game feels sluggish and has bad pacing. Bad forced perspective 3D makes it difficult to judge placement of characters and sometimes you can't even tell if you're in the air or on the ground. Each level is over so fast you wonder what you missed. That would be fine for a regular Kirby game but this doesn't beg exploration, it's a very linear progression with maybe a secret or two in a level.

    There's no Kirby canon, the dances are all the same thing, the power ups are the same we've seen, the upgrades are neat but nothing special, and I'm not going to rave about a game with dated concepts and tired ideas. At least they tried but there were better Kirby games on the DS & 3DS. Pick up an older Kirby game for half the price and have more fun.    … Expand

It looks even worse when you swallow a vending machine. Once again, the developers were too greedy and lazy to make the swallowing mechanics work in real-time like they do in the cutscenes. There are also no real-time spitting mechanics. The AI is incredibly stupid. The physics are trash. The soundtrack is terrible. The developers added cute upbeat music in this game, to give players the illusion that the game is fun. None of that is fun for me. The sound effects and animations are poor. Too many clipping issues.

    I am honestly shocked that this game actually has multiplayer. I didn't expect that from developers that are clearly greedier and bigger cheapskates than EA and Activision. I appreciate that. However, there is only co-op multiplayer for the garbage campaign. If the developers weren't so cheap and put the effort to add PvP multiplayer, then I might have actually had fun with this game. I only recommend you get this game until it is $10 or less. This low-budget game is not worth the $60.    … Expand

    It's cute, it's fun, and I love the insane, slightly gross idea of Mouthful Mode. Ultimately it's not as hard as I would have liked, but it's also just a lovely chill time. Nice to see a great Kirby game again.

    Es el juego que toda mi vida espere de Kirby. me hubiese gustado un poco mas de dificultad y libertad de movimiento y cámara, pero es un magnifico comienzo y transición al 3D, entendiendo la dinámica e identidad de los juegos de Kirby. Muy merecido su premio al GOTY de mejor juego familiar. Recomendable.

    Negatives:
    -Graphics: the illumination system in some of the levels is kinda bad, especially in the post story levels and in treasure roads

    Probably the cutest game out on the Switch. At first I thought the game was too easy (even on the "harder" so called Wild Mode) but the challenge doesn't come from finishing the level, beating the bosses, etc. The challenge, if you want to call it that, is in getting all the objectives in a level.
    There are a lot of creative power-ups to collect and besides that the game looks beautiful too.

I am really impressed when I got her through this game I thought it was a bit too easy wasn't going to be satisfying but the difficulty really went up in last half of the game and I am truly amazed over the ending and the secret ending.     It is amazing how Hal made this game so freaking great. To think this is the first fully 3D Kirby game makes it even better. They made so many good things here, like the music, the gameplay, the evolution of the kirby abilities are so fun, the graphics and the art style is so beautiful. The final battle is one of the best ones in the series, it is really epic and hard. Also the game has aIt is amazing how Hal made this game so freaking great.     Best Kirby ever. Very easy game but still is a joy to play. the world is fantastic. very re playable until you find all in level secrets. im really happy with this game. all new kirby transformations are funny and very useful. Recommended.

    The game obviously tries not to keep you needlessly long in a single level and is, as is traditional in the series, fairly accessible to players of all ages and abilities, so that it only asks for a challenge at specific moments. It's a shame that those great imaginative worlds and cool puzzles aren't used more. [Issue#319]

    Without a shadow of a doubt Kirby And The Forgotten Land is one of the best titles to have released in 2022. And one of the best on the Nintendo Switch. Offering bright, breezy, and downright fun gameplay all wrapped up with some brilliant and characterful levels and characters. However it may be too easy for the more hardcore gamer looking for a challenge.
