Oct 28, 2019Kine is a wonderful puzzle game that will exercise your spacial awareness and charm you with its story. The characters are relatable and surprisingly nuanced, and the visuals are appealing. The music is excellent and integrated into the gameplay in inviting ways. While the game gets incredibly difficult, serious puzzle players are sure to enjoy the challenge. It helped that Roo, Quat, and Euler reminded me of so many old friends, and I found myself wanting the best for the funky boxes as they strived to make their way in the big city. Maybe you will too.

Dec 2, 20193D puzzle game in which you move three instruments trying to form a band. Somewhere along with the storyline you also become a space and movement strategizing guru. I wholeheartedly recommend it to all puzzle loving gamers.

Nov 1, 2019An amazing experience from beginning to end, though there isn’t enough content to justify the $19.99 launch price. Wait for a sale, then definitely pick it up, and you won’t be sorry.

Jan 9, 2020Kine isn’t original, and it’s got some pretty obvious gameplay flaws. But when a game is as charmingly put-together as this one, you won’t have much difficulty ignoring all that and focusing on the positives.

Oct 31, 2019Adding insult to injury is the somewhat uncooperative camera and the din of discordant sound effects every time you try to make an illegal move (hint: frequently). While those with a penchant for the punishing should check out Kine, less adept puzzlers may wish to stay away.

Oct 28, 2019It never feels good to solve a puzzle through sheer trial and error, and while every puzzle game has one or two duds there are just too many in Kine to allow for the good puzzles to feel worth it. It’s a shame that such a beautiful aesthetic was wasted on this, because the game is not nearly as exciting as the jazz riffs that accompanies it.

Oct 16, 2019Don't let the cuteness fool you, Kine is one of the cleverest puzzle games around. [Eurogamer Recommended]

Oct 31, 2019Despite the frustrating camera, these sequences feature the game’s best puzzles as they start to combine the different movements and mechanics of the trio into stages that are not only clever, but give you the feeling of cooperation between these three instruments as they play together. It is in these moments when Kine is exceptional: it uses the interdependence of the instruments in the puzzle-solving as a metaphor for the band playing music together.
