    A competitive twin-stick shooter with matches that play like Nidhogg is such a fantastic idea for a game. When you factor in the awesome Data East characters and stages, you're left with a nostalgia-fueled funfest that feels fresh and exciting.

    As a wacky idea, I love Heavy Burger. It’s such a goofy way to use old games in a new way. In execution, it’s woefully scattershot. My fun with it lasted as long as the joke was still funny. Once that wore off, the multiplayer matches dried up fast. I wish this was a little better because I would love to see more things like it, but as it stands, Heavy Burger works better as a gag than a game.

    Heavy Burger is overall a nostalgic and fun experience, the tug-of-war style game play was very fun and can get intense with 4 players andHeavy Burger is overall a nostalgic and fun experience, the tug-of-war style game play was very fun and can get intense with 4 players and enemies. The idea of being able to give yourself a speed boost by firing your weapon backwards was an interesting albeit a bit broken mechanic. The only grudge I have against Heavy Burger is the Single-player challenges, I don't like them but I don't hate them either. It's just that it could be better if there was more variety, for example how about a challenge where you need to kill all the enemies, or where you need to get a certain amount of money or collect a certain amount of power-ups. In addition the game runs at a smooth 60 fps which is perfect in my book. So I'd highly recommend picking this up on the Nintendo E-shop… Expand

After you play a couple matches, you've experienced everything the game has to offer and there aren't enough mechanics to mix up your strategy. You either make a mad dash for the goal or hold back and defend your own. Power-ups either increase your speed or your rate of fire and barely matter. More maps, more diverse power-ups, character classes, maybe even deploy-able defenses or barriers of some sort might have given this game the depth it needed, but as it stands, there's maybe an hour or two of entertainment to be found here before most people will want to move on.… Expand
