    Utterly dreary, glacially paced, constantly fumbling over its own scene transitions, and rife with frivolous and inconsequential decisions, I Saw Black Clouds is everything you shouldn’t do with an FMV game.

    I Saw Black Clouds is hard to recommend. A poor story, even with its multiple paths, is made worse by a thematic weakness and extremely limited gameplay that is never going to grab people other than FMV aficionados. Throw in its use of mental ill health to facilitate cheap plot twists and it's unlikely the game will stay with anyone for the right reasons.
