May 17, 2018Quotation forthcoming.
-
May 16, 2018The limping technical realization and the long-term repetitiveness of the game formula limit the expressive power of a production that perhaps deserved more fortune four years ago.
-
Jul 15, 2018If the aforementioned nuisances such as mute characters are a turnoff in your eyes, you might want to consider spending your Rupees toward the more original Fire Emblem Warriors instead.
-
Jun 4, 2018Like its name suggests, Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition for the Nintendo Switch intends to be the ultimate edition of the game that was originally released on the Wii U. This definitive edition certainly features several added values, including new maps and characters that make it a worthy game to look into. Where this definitive edition disappoints, though, is on its occasional performance issues when played as a handheld.
-
May 22, 2018The third version of Hyrule Warriors is certainly the best version. The tweaks made to this version help it to be more enjoyable than the original and with all the DLC included, this is an incredible amount of content to work through. Worth playing if you love it, need a good co-op game, or haven't played it, but it won't win over any new fans.
-
May 17, 2018On Nintendo Switch, Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition is pretty much the same action packed and repetitive beat-em-all it was on Wii U four years ago, with some improvements on the technical side and all the DLC. For Zelda or Muso fans, it's still a joyful way to blow off steam. But if you own it on Wii U or 3DS, there's only one feature you'll notice, split screen on portable mode.
-
May 16, 2018The Zelda skin helps keep things fresh, keep things different enough to warrant a purchase of this for even the most veteran Musou fans. If you’re new to the games but like Zelda, don’t go in expecting a masterpiece. But if you’re down for simple, popcorn-movie like fun you can’t go wrong with Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition. There’s a ton of content, multiple fan-favourite characters, and an over-the-top, cheese-ridden story.
-
May 16, 2018Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is a great game if you haven't played Hyrule Warriors before. However, for those who have already played the original game or its 3DS counterpart, there may be too little to enjoy in this definitive version.
-
May 17, 2018If you’re a huge Zelda fan you might get a kick out of Hyrule Warriors and if you’re a Dynasty Warriors fan you’re sure to find something to love.
-
Jun 4, 2018The lack of depth, a good story, and stuff like voice acting makes it all feel a little average. Pulling on your Zelda nostalgia heartstrings to drive motivation, even though the battles are all pretty much the same.
-
May 16, 2018Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is the definitive Warriors game, but The Legend of Zelda gets nothing out of this relationship.

May 16, 2018If you skipped out on the 3DS release entirely or haven't played Hyrule in any form yet, it's going to be a much more enticing prospect.
-
May 17, 2018Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is a Smash where Zelda is all of the Bros. It is bursting with the ghost of Nintendo’s sweetest past.
-
Jun 27, 2018Warriors action at its finest.
-
May 16, 2018Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition takes a great game and makes it greater, though it’s fair to say that for anyone outside of Legend of Zelda or Warriors series fans it will undoubtedly feel less special. Combat and the rhythm of gameplay can become repetitive as you progress, but there’s obviously so much affection for the source material that it almost falls over itself as it strives to keep you involved. As a love letter, and as a merging of two iconic franchises, there are few games as thoroughly enjoyable as this.
-
May 16, 2018The Definitive Edition name is an accurate one. Although it doesn’t offer a lot of exclusive content (a couple of Breath Of The Wild costumes for Link and Zelda are about as good as it gets) no other version of Hyrule Warriors contains absolutely everything released for it to date. There’s no question that this is by far the most comprehensive and best-looking version of the game, and while those who owned either version and all the DLC may have fewer reasons to buy it, if you haven’t played it before – or just owned the base game and didn’t fork out for any downloadable content – there’s hundreds of hours of gameplay here for you.
-
May 16, 2018Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition lives up to its name: it’s the best version of this game, and this game is also the best in the Warriors series. Zelda fans should be aware of what they’re getting into, as those who expect the nuance of regular Zelda will be sorely disappointed. If you want to hack, slash and experience an exciting, fan service assisted power trip, however, Hyrule Warriors will fit the bill nicely.
