Jun 5, 2024Horizon Chase 2 is a great game, but it’s quite the masterpiece that its predecessor was. That said, this is a no brainer if you loved the arcade racing goodness of Horizon Chase Turbo, because that part, at least, has not been modified in this sequel.

Jan 31, 2025The controls are well judged but not as fluid as in something like Ridge Racer (at its best), and the tracks are solid if never truly exciting. There is a dizzying amount of content here though, so if you’re a fan of the original then this sequel is a must buy.

Oct 15, 2023Horizon Chase 2 is much better than its predecessor, both in graphics and QoL features - in addition to unlockable body kits. However, the iOS port to the Switch platform falls short. Also, crashes are frequent and drive you crazy.

No matter how fun it is to fly across the highway at blazing speed, no amount of speed can disguise the fairly limited breadth of content available. In fact, that speed only makes courses blur together even more. Ultimately, you're left with a fun but shallow arcade racer that feels disappointingly shaky on Switch.
