I'm going to get the bad bits out of the way. The field is a slab of green and the positioning of items is awkward. I don't know if thereI'm going to get the bad bits out of the way. The field is a slab of green and the positioning of items is awkward. I don't know if there are better touch screen controls in portable but I was playing docked with a pointer and thumbstick. Still controls fine though. Last thing, sometimes it gets stuck zoomed in and I had to click on the shop to go back to default zoom. Again, I might have missed something here. Possibly a zoom button I haven't figured out. Who knows.
The music is servicable. Not bad by any means but a long way from Xenoblade, or Ys.
The gameplay is basically two labour jobs, farming and picking/packing orders. The farming took me a little to get used to coming from Stardew Valley but it just makes sense and I was thinking why can't Stardew be fast like this. So farming is to grow enough crops for your orders and the match 3 game is picking the orders. There is the perfect balance of time doing each and the frequency you switch from one to the other is perfect too. It's as good as any other match 3 and mixing it with farming really works well. The tutorials are fast and nothing feels laborious, or dragged out. You seem to level up at just the right time. Whoever made this game really got balance down to a fine art.
I spent over £60 on eshop games yesterday. This cost me 99p of that and I spent 6 hours on it last night and about to go back on now. What value for money. Can't fault it.
Props to the game makers.… Expand
