    Honestly one of the best Cute-em-ups out there, worth a look for schmups fans or fans of the kawaii-styled games genre.

    It feels fundamentally strange to me to say that I think the design of a shmup is good, but Hazelnut Hex managed to prove that a sideIt feels fundamentally strange to me to say that I think the design of a shmup is good, but Hazelnut Hex managed to prove that a side scrolling shoot 'em up can have such a thing as great level design, even if it simply consists of enemies and no obstacles. This game is a fun, cute and decently difficult shmup, with tons of replayability and a gorgeous art style. It never tries to or needs to take itself too seriously. Honestly, it's pretty difficult to review, but for what it's worth, I love this little game. Expand
