A solid rhythm game experience with a fun and creative presentation. Lacklustre list of songs make this a middling value proposition.

If this is your only Rhythm game, you'll probably enjoy it but I found that a lot of the best songs were also available in other games like the much cheaper and more fun Taito no Tatsujin. If you do want original songs, there is the DLC but it's ridiculously expensive.

Another negative compared to other rhythm games with the same songs is the load times. This is the type of game that players want to quickly jump into for a 5 minute play but the full version takes ages to start up. I thought my console had frozen at first.

I wish I'd checked what songs were available before buying.

An accessible romp into the world of rhythm games, Groove Coaster Wai Wai Party!!!! is an eclectic treat for anyone trying to get their arcade fix at home. It might take a little time to get used to the controls, but those willing to practice are bound to find a satisfying musical experience.

Yet another fantastic rhythm game to add to the Switch's ever-growing repertoire. It may be a tad on the expensive side, but its core mechanics are rock solid, its minimalist visuals are a treat to behold and the fact it's got to much to play through and unlock means you'll be happily tapping your toes to this one for months.

Groove Coaster’s stylish look can be frustrating and intrusive, but the underlying mechanics still make for one of the best rhythm games I’ve ever played. The excellent track list was already impressive, but the fine-tuned gameplay, inventive mechanics like ad-libs, and a mission-based structure of unlocks that keep you focused and coming back for more content make the game addicting and rewarding. I wish I could turn off the flashy backgrounds and weird camera angles, but even with that blemish this is still an easy choice for anyone who wants to get into a good groove.
