At its current price of around $3, this game is a very refreshing game I've added to my library.

I find it very relaxing, I love the 16bit style, it's simplicity makes it easy to pick up and not get frustrated with, it has plenty of weapons with different mechanics Really fun, fairly easy game with good controls I really recommend this for the price if you like super Nintendo style

I picked this up for its current price of $3 and simply couldn't put it down till I 100%'ed it - a thing that happens very rarely for me these days. Simply put, this is one of the most underrated games I have played ever and one of my favorit Switch games. Adorable 16-bit visuals, solid gameplay, many and varied weapons and relics that grant unique powers to play with. Impressive variety in enemy- and boss designs and unusually clever level design and flow. I see this questionable line on all the mixed reviews: "This game is not for everyone" - so mention for me, please, a single game that is? Simply put: Do not miss out on Goblin Sword on Switch. An easy game to pick up, and a lot of levels, cool bosses and collectibles to find.

It’s an amazing game, don’t listen to the ‘professionals’. This game does what it says it does, and it’s really a great game with quite a lot packed in it! It’s not too difficult, but don’t go in thinking it is easy, because it ain’t, maybe the first few levels, it gets harder the further you go into it!

    Definitely recommend!

Could be a lost SNES/ TG-16/ Genesis action platforming classic with its sharp 16-bit style graphics, tight responsive controls, smart level design, beautiful music and loads of charm. At its budget pricetag it is a must buy for Switch owning retrogamers of all ages.

I picked up this game alongside another 16 bit rpg as something unique to play for 3$. As soon as i started, i was impressed by how the game world is given to you. The no button npc dialogue. Quickly i found myself in the shop, excited to save my coins for a shiny new sword. And when i hit the final boss of the first world, i was immediately impressed by the fluidity of the fight and that it had variety in attack patterns. And when i realized that the game is not in fact 100% linear i was blown away. Its nothing groundbreaking and it wont win Game of the Year, but the level design, clever puzzles, simple controls, fair but challenging hidden items, enemy variety, incredible bosses, and loads of collectibles ensures there is a LOT to do. And it handles like a DREAM. Tightest controls from here to the mushroom kingdom. Expand

Goblin Sword offers an ideal commute experience with its short levels and simplistic gameplay, but that also means anyone looking for a deep or diverse experience will sadly be disappointed. This is an arcade-style action-platformer that just falls a bit short of satisfying.

Goblin Sword likely won’t blow players away, but it is a fun game that provides plenty of replayability, especially for completionists. The game is available on mobile devices, but it feels like a game that was made for the Switch. Plus, for the price - Goblin Sword is actually on sale for $2.99 on the Nintendo eShop at the time of this writing - you really can’t go wrong with the well-executed platforming adventure.

Goblin Sword's developers are clearly talented so I look forward to their next game where they'll hopefully iron out a lot of wrinkles.
