9/10, 8/10? Are we playing the same game?

This game is a 4/10 at best, and that is being far too kind. Goblin Sword is a weak attempt at trying to be something like monsterboy. Colorful artstyle, cute cartoon characters and a decent soundtrack, yes, I can give it that. Now let us get down to the brass taxes here. This is a game so basic that every single level has an identical flow to it, find two chests hidden in some random wall and find three gems randomly placed around a pit of spikes. That's it. Do this over and over and over until you finally get to the end screen that shows as much emotion as a longtime botox users face. This game is utterly useless that even its in-game items serve no function. Weapons, I used like three of them as the others were trash, the relics, I used like another three of them as the others were unnecessary, the armor, did nothing at all and was all vanity, and the items you get for you house had no point in exisitng at all. I have no idea how games like these get completed and sold to the public....wait, they don't, because this game was not finished at all. Goblin Slayer should have stayed the demo that it is and not released until they new where they were going with it, but you know that if you give it a shiny cover, aim the marketing at 16-bit classic gaming suckers, that you are going to run away with some real money, and that is what this company did. The enemies in this game are absolutely lobotomized. Each one moves like a carboard cutout, and some enemies, like the snakes, don't even move. They just place an enemy in a spot around some spikes to force you to attempt some twitch gameplay better suited for Dark Souls. You may have liked this game, but for the love of God I have no bloody idea why. Save your money and avoid this game until the developers play a few games themselves and understand what makes a game fun to play.
