The controls are a bit clunky, particularly with regards to aiming your attacks. As such it feels like a smart idea to ignore almost every ranged attack item that requires some precision. I like the pixel art, don’t think much of the audio, and found the difficulty curve smooth enough. Not something you’re going to remember even a week after you play through it, but it will entertain you for a night or two.

Gemini is a challenging action game with many weapons to choose from and unique enemies and bosses. However, the clunky controls may make you want to rage quit.

For the first few levels I genuinely loved the tower defense-like gameplay. But by the end of the first world (only like 5 levels or so later) the difficulty suddenly spiked and I couldn't get past it. The store only refreshes when you beat a new level, so I couldn't get better gear and unless I wanted to farm the earlier levels on repeat to get the lucky gear spawns, I was out of luck. If it weren't for that out-of-place difficulty spike that made the game basically unplayable for me and if the game continued as it started, I would have genuinely enjoyed it a lot. Expand
