This isn't a terrible racer by any means, but when you're up against the likes of Grid Autosport, it becomes hard to recommend this one unless you have played Grid to death and see this title on sale.

I have this game digitally and since there isn't any reviews (at the time of writing) I figured I would give my two cents. I got the PorscheI have this game digitally and since there isn't any reviews (at the time of writing) I figured I would give my two cents. I got the Porsche DLC and all that, it's alright but the content is nothing special. The Porsche racing series they have in this game is just a few basic championships where you race a couple Porsche models that are prepared for you and your goal is to win so you can unlock some cars. Pretty basic stuff and it feels like it isn't nearly as deep as the rest of the game, sort of a tacked on extra.

As for the game it's just mediocre at best. The driving physics are somewhat arcadey but you can tell how they tried to give it a somewhat realistic feel, it doesn't really work but you can tell how those were the intentions. I always kind of struggled to really get a feel for any of my cars in the game and they never seemed to respond accurately, as if there is some input lag that gets in the way.

What really brings this game down though is the racing. I actually preferred playing the original game because it seemed to play it's strengths better through quick sprint races. In this one however you are mostly doing circuits, and they are pretty basic looking and due to the extended length of the tracks you really notice the shortcomings. Primarily the lack of difficulty options and the crazy bad rubber-band AI that you need to content with as a result. Pretty much the entire race is you trying to keep up, with the last half of the final lap being the only time when you can really pass everyone and then it can feel like the AI is simply giving up but it can also be too little too late.

Overall this is a game that I never really want to play because there are far better racing games out on the Switch now. The best being Grid Autosport, but sadly that is digital only. For a much better racing experience that you can get physically I would look into some of the motorcycle racing games like MotoGP 19, Monster Energy Supercross 2, and Isle of Man TT. For cars the two rallying games V-Rally 4 and WRC 8 aren't bad and offer a far more enjoyable racing experience than you will find here. I know the Switch is light on racing titles but you can easily do better than this.
