Feb 4, 2019The only reason I am not giving this game a perfect 10 is because of the ambiguous ending. The cinematic and score were beautiful. The gameplay was fun and whimsical. There was enough "dark" in the story to remind you that you're not watching a Disney film. Really good looking and good playing game! I can't wait to see what else this studio comes up with!

Jan 4, 2019I think it's a game you can only play if you are a patient person. It's not platform enough, it's not puzzle enough, it is more like an interactive novel. I agree it should have been a movie, not a game.
-
Nov 18, 2018The animations and voice acting are great, but the game play is simplistic. Should have been a movie.

Mar 2, 2020Beautiful game. I picked it up for the art style and didn't expect much else from it. I found the story surprisingly deep and interesting and enjoyed the light puzzle elements.

Jul 8, 2021Try the demo to see what this game is about. All I’m going to say is that I recommend playing this for the ending alone. I have never experienced such an ending in a video game. Gotta respect the developers for not going down the fan service route.

Jan 20, 2020A beautiful story with beautiful artwork sprinkled with some unfortunate glitches and awkward gameplay mechanics.

Jan 30, 2019Going into this knowing it was more story than game helps. This is 80% story, 20% game. With that in mind, I was able to enjoy this game: the artwork is superb, the voice acting is very good and the music is excellent. If you like what you see, and want more story than play, then you will probably like this game. I did.

Apr 21, 2019Played the demo and was intrigued by the art style and the story, so I got the full game. Beautiful art, animation and music, Gameplay is a bit lacking, but still rewarding.

Jan 24, 2020Incredible beautiful game, artwork, animations and voice. The story is interesting and fun enough to enjoy from the beginning to the end. Nevertheless, I missed more deepness and complexity in the gameplay, as well as more puzzles and platforms when going through the story.

Mar 1, 2020Excellent third party game, probably the polished one that I've tried beside the main titles. The story and the art direction is amazing, and so the message, you won't find a really happy ending but is all so well designed. Hope to see a movie from this. Some will find this a short game, but has the perfect duration

Mar 13, 2020A wholly expansive world and magical controls are all implemented together beautifully. Now, I tend to have an issue with multiple-choice endings, so this is more of my own problem, but I just didn't sit right with the choices given.

Mar 22, 2020This game is only a few hours long, but the story is very intriguing and the Forgotlings are cute. The platforming parts were too long at times. But the characters and dialogue made up for it. You can also make some decisions to alter the story.

Jan 23, 2019Despite its title, Forgotton Anne is far from forgettable. Its story is deep, its characters are nuanced, and its journey is emotional and powerful. Unfortunately, its stiff platforming and uninspired puzzles hold it back from being a must-play. For fans of adventure games, Forgotton Anne is a surprising gem that'll provide plenty of memorable moments over the course of its 7- to 8-hour run. For those looking for a more cohesive melding of story and gameplay, however, there are simply better options available.

Nov 30, 2018Its artistic style is simply great. In addition, it has an interesting story of guarantors of order against rebels that works perfectly with the main mechanics of taking actions in the role of a police officer in a city in crisis.

Nov 26, 2018The actual gameplay is rewarding and only introduces the slightest of stumbles that are negligible compared to the agency and interactivity afforded by being a video game. In terms of gameplay, there are certainly titles that offer greater variety and complexity, but the beautiful visuals, fantastic soundtrack, compelling story and likable characters easily elevate Forgotton Anne to the level of being a truly excellent game.
