Floor Kids features an interesting and fluid gameplay style, which coupled with its soundtrack make this a well developed rhythm game. Were it not for its disappointing sub par presentation and art style (despite its fluid animation), and Floor Kids would stand out a lot more from the pack.

Floor Kids for Nintendo Switch is not without its faults, thanks to gameplay that puts a little too much faith into in-game exploration. However, it shouldn’t be lost in everything else that Floor Kids has to offer, namely a distinguished art style, a fresh take on a genre, and beats to mash it up. If you are a fan of passion projects, Floor Kids is going to be right up your alley.

Sadly, Floor Kids lacks the variety or freedom in its core design to ever really offer more than surface-level engagement. [Issue#197, p.78]

Despite repetitive gameplay, Floor Kids presents a distinct approach to the rhythm genre and allows you to enjoy the music in unique ways. I had a good time in small chunks, but the gameplay of every track just blends together extended gameplay.

Floor Kids starts as a breath of fresh air for the rhythm genre, and a blessing for those who wanted a break-dancing title on Nintendo Switch, which, for people's information, is not really such an abundant group. It feels and looks quite good… but that's all there is to say about it, as its replay value is so low that it's impossible to recommend it to anyone but unique indie game aficionados.

I finished after getting max 5 crowns on all 24 tracks. There isn’t much variety in this game but I still had a great time with it. Memorizing the combos was slightly annoying but once you know all the pro movies, playing the game becomes so much more satisfying. I enjoyed the beats, the art style, and the overall atmosphere of the game. Full Review »

I have been watching let’s plays of Floor Kids for while now on Youtube, so I thought I knew what to expect from the game. Nevertheless,I have been watching let’s plays of Floor Kids for while now on Youtube, so I thought I knew what to expect from the game. Nevertheless, playing the game first hand has vastly exceeded those expectations and though it was quite short, the time I spent in the game was nothing but a joy. The mechanics, the art and the music make this a must play for any Hip-Hop or rhythm game fan that owns a Nintendo Switch. Sure there are a few kinks, but they are significantly outweighed by the creativity, love and thought the developers put into this game.

disappointed with this one, just didnt pull me in... wanted it to be a mix between parrapa the rapper & tony hawk but it just got boring afterdisappointed with this one, just didnt pull me in... wanted it to be a mix between parrapa the rapper & tony hawk but it just got boring after id unlocked all the characters & realized their moves are all performed the same way, tried multiplayer a few times & didnt get much from that either, overall i love the idea & maybe a sequel will do what i wanted? but for now its just "ok" at best to me, though i do appreciate what the devs are trying to do, i think it needs more work or a lower price at least.
