In the beginning you will find yourself chopping trees, mining ores and crafting mechanical arms and transport belts by hand, but in short time you can become an industrial powerhouse, with huge solar fields, oil refining and cracking, manufacture and deployment of construction and logistic robots, all for your resource needs. However this heavy exploitation of the planet's resources does not sit nicely with the locals, so you will have to be prepared to defend yourself and your machine empire.

    Join forces with other players in cooperative Multiplayer, create huge factories, collaborate and delegate tasks between you and your friends. Add mods to increase your enjoyment, from small tweak and helper mods to complete game overhauls, Factorio's ground-up Modding support has allowed content creators from around the world to design interesting and innovative features. While the core gameplay is in the form of the freeplay scenario, there are a range of interesting challenges in the form of Scenarios. If you don't find any maps or scenarios you enjoy, you can create your own with the in-game Map Editor, place down entities, enemies, and terrain in any way you like, and even add your own custom script to make for interesting gameplay.    … Expand

    Like the gears in an engine, everything in Factorio has a purpose. There is little in terms of extras here but what is present in this factory management sim does its job beautifully. Despite some issues with the way the Switch port is presented and controls, these are minor issues in an otherwise stellar game that will have you obsessing over the best possible layout for your factory or wanting to keep playing to see what the next research tree unlocks.

    It’s not hard to lose hours to Factorio, and if you can forgiver the visuals, you’ll have a ball throwing yourself into your work.

    Players, now also on Switch, get their hands on a high-quality Czech game with very complex management and logistics. However, due to the less comfortable console controls, the PC version appears to be a better choice.

    Overall, Factorio is a game that offers a great deal of depth and challenge for those who enjoy strategy and optimization games. While there are some minor frustrations, they do not detract from the overall enjoyment of the game. If you are looking for a game that will keep you entertained for countless hours, Factorio is definitely worth checking out.

Controls are a bit uncomfortable at first but you will get the hang of it. Very impressive that they managed to map out every action on the switch’s buttons. Can’t wait for similar games like oxygen not included and Rimworld to follow Factorio and make switch ports. One last thing, the intro to this game is amazing. You the games basics to this game as you do the different levels. It takes sometime but after your first play through the intro, you are ready to play on your own.

    Be ware for this game consumes your time…

    Yes, it would feel uncomfortable at first, but after several hours, you will find that the control is brilliant.

    The performance is good enough to run the game at 60 fps,
    The Gameplay is not different from the PC version, solid Gameplay.

It's the very same game you get on PC, only without mods (which confuse an already confusing game for most anyway) and the obvious change, controls. This was a worry for me initially, and while it took some time to get used to the new layout, now that I am, it's second nature. Everything else is more or less exactly as youd remember it. Performance is perfectly fine on a mid to high level factory, so far.… Expand

The game itself is amazing, and the devs did an outstanding job of porting a very rich UI to the console platform. There are a couple of minor things I thought were awkward, but mostly I've just been enjoying the whole experience.… Expand

    Objectively it's not bad game, but it seems extremely uncomfortable comparing to pc version.
