    Epic Chef, desarrollado por Infinigon Games y publicado por Team17, es un título entretenido con distintas actividades para hacer; sus personajes tienen mucha personalidad y las situaciones son muy divertidas. Cuestiones como lo simple de algunas mecánicas y lo tardado que es su historia para evolucionar empañan algo la experiencia. A pesar de ello, es un juego que vale la pena darle unaEpic Chef, desarrollado por Infinigon Games y publicado por Team17, es un título entretenido con distintas actividades para hacer; sus personajes tienen mucha personalidad y las situaciones son muy divertidas. Cuestiones como lo simple de algunas mecánicas y lo tardado que es su historia para evolucionar empañan algo la experiencia. A pesar de ello, es un juego que vale la pena darle una oportunidad.

    I’ll freely admit to having a bit of a weakness for weird and quirky games, so I’d keep that in mind with my thoughts on Epic Chef. To be clear, while I think it’s entertaining, has some great humor, and does enough to make it worth your while if you enjoy a good laugh, I’d also never claim it’s without its faults. It really gets off to a slow start, especially if you’re a farm simI’ll freely admit to having a bit of a weakness for weird and quirky games, so I’d keep that in mind with my thoughts on Epic Chef. To be clear, while I think it’s entertaining, has some great humor, and does enough to make it worth your while if you enjoy a good laugh, I’d also never claim it’s without its faults. It really gets off to a slow start, especially if you’re a farm sim veteran, and initially just getting around can be frustratingly time consuming as you get from point to point. To the game’s credit that gets addressed pretty quickly, but I’d say the game does a poor job of getting off to a strong start. The thing is, once it does manage to get into its groove with you cooking and competing for culinary dominance it has some good ideas that are generally well executed and is happy to throw some weird curveballs at you periodically to keep you amused. While perhaps a bit grindy (though it could be argued farm sims all struggle with this to some degree) and it could use some refinement in its pace up front to ensure everyone is invested to enjoy the rest, Epic Quest has a unique quality to it and delivers on its promise well enough to be worth a look, especially if you’d like to see a more light-hearted take on the farm sim genre.

    This is easily one of the most fun strategy/sim games I've played, and if you like British humor and/or imagining exactly what a Ghostato or Unicorn Bacon would taste like in real life, then add Epic Chef to your grocery list. It's magically delicious! [Issue #57 – January/February 2022, p. 20]

    Epic Chef has a lot to offer players who want to inject a charmingly humorous adventure narrative into their farming simulator. With crops to harvest, structures to craft, and cooking battles to win, Epic Chef attempts a diverse range of gameplay, and, to its credit, largely succeeds. If you’re looking for something that isn’t afraid to mix and match mechanics and is unapologetically fun, Epic Chef thinks you should don your metaphorical chef hat and get cookin’.

    Epic Chef is heaped with charm and humour that will undoubtedly put a smile on your face as you start your life as Ambrosia’s hottest chef. Unfortunately, while the cooking and farming mechanics are simple enough to grasp, the bloated nature of the game makes every task feel more arduous than it needs to be. Add to this the needlessly lengthy dialogue and bizarre limitations around the save function, and Epic Chef feels like a game that can’t quite match up with the other life sims available on the Switch. It's not unenjoyable, just more Little Chef than MasterChef.
