    Endling – Extinction is Forever is a powerful game. It deftly highlights human greed, corruption, and our unique knack for environmental devastation. At the same time, it offers glimmers of hope and redemption, tiny bright spots that manage to shine through the encroaching darkness. The trials and tribulations of the traumatized fox at the heart of the game will leave your heart aching and bruised, and you’ll be left somehow simultaneously saddened and enraged. Such sorrowful fury is meant to be a powerful motivator: use it.

    Endling is a very impressive game with the way it delivers message without lines, excellent visuals and sounds that match the atmosphere. Though the frequent loading time on Switch and repetitive gameplay are a bit disappointing, the game is faithful with delivering a message which is quite intense.

    In Endling: Extinction Is Forever, the urgency of survival and the pangs of hunger skilfully alternate with more relaxed moments and touching discoveries, for an engaging and emotional adventure. The story told by Herobeat Studio is silent, accompanied only by the images evoked by the nose of a fox mother and by the excellent soundtrack. Perhaps also for this reason, the power of the message conveyed by the game is remarkable, able to reach its peak in an epilogue that you will hardly forget. Rather short, the title rests on consistent gameplay, supported by an articulated map and the ability to unlock new abilities for baby foxes. An environmental-based survival adventure that, despite the silence of its narrative, really has a lot to say and teach.

    Endling - Extinction is Forever tells a sad story that is guaranteed to suck you in and trigger any maternal/paternal instincts you may have. Herobeat Studios has done a great job conveying an environmentally conscious story through the eyes of the lives affected most, and seriously delivers a brutally honest view of how humankind is harming the environment and natural ecosystem. Despite the repetitive nature of the gameplay, Endling is a powerful tale with a lasting, dare I say “forever,” effect.

    Comenzamos con una mirada aterradora sobre la destrucción de la naturaleza a manos de los humanos. Controlamos a uno de los últimos zorros de la Tierra y debes escapar de un bosque junto a una manada de cachorros que cuidar. Hacerlo requiere que los alimentes y cuides a medida que crecen mientras evitas los peligros que existen.

    Mientras vayas avanzando en tu camino, sentirás de lleno esa angustia de ser el único de tu especie y de salvar a tus cachorros haciendo todo para que no tengan hambre y puedan sobrevivir a los días.

    Su punto débil es la deficiencia en las secciones de sigilo, ya que suelen repetirse y pueden tornarse monótonas, ya que en la exploración te toparás con lo mismo una y otra vez.

    Cada noche que pasa, es un nuevo desafío, y encontrarás nuevos objetivos para oler, excavar, trepar y entre muchas otras acciones que te permitirán sobrevivir. Endling es un juego poderoso. Que te concientiza sobre la codicia humana, la corrupción y nuestra habilidad única para la devastación ambiental. Al mismo tiempo te muestra la esperanza del corazón de un zorro por salvar a sus hijos. Por ende, si buscas una experiencia que te deje pensando por varias horas y que no sea demasiada extensa, este juego es para ti.
