Nintendo Force MagazineApr 28, 2020DOOM 1 has been portable before, but I'll take it on as many systems as I can get. [Issue #42 – October 2019, p. 20]

Mar 5, 2020Doom's arrival on the wonderful system that is the Nintendo Switch is the perfect opportunity to be reminded of why it's such a fantastic experience despite its age. It's old-school FPS fun at its finest, and now you can carry it's dark corridors and hellish landscapes on the smallest of backpacks. Sadly, while the gameplay has been left intact, this version is far from the perfect port that it could be, due to a couple of odd omissions and changes - but at least it is super cheap (as it should).

Aug 7, 2019DOOM remains an iconic game that fans of shooters – actually, scratch that, fans of gaming – need to play to this day. This version has a few drawbacks that will no doubt sour the experience for some people, but this is by far the most authentic version of the game on a Nintendo platform so far.

Aug 5, 2019All genres have a reference and in the FPS genre we have DOOM, a title that offers the essence that has made it a classic game. A very fun and highly recommended shooter that you can enjoy with three more players.

Aug 1, 2019Given that we’ve only had SNES and GBA versions before, this new Switch port of Doom is the best version ever released on a Nintendo system by a country mile. That doesn’t mean it’s perfect, though: its annoying still-to-be-fixed DRM and its smattering of small technical issues does dampen the entertainment somewhat. That aside, if you’re looking to slay hordes of Hellspawn on the move, there’s no better way.
