    Gameplay is very shallow and simple, the RPG aspect could have been explored in a better way.
    It's a graphic novel disguised as a game, so there's a lot of reading to do between the few playable moments, and in my personal opinion, the story could be better.

    The story is very good, but it is so long cause it have a lot of filler, it could be 15 hours instead of 30 whitout all the filler, and it would be more enjoyable.

    The combat system is horrible, but there is barely 20 combats in whole game, so its not a big problem, and whit x3 speed the combat its not that slow at least. Edit: the other 2 routes are so boring, 90% its the same, true    The story is very good, but it is so long cause it have a lot of filler, it could be 15 hours instead of 30 whitout all the filler, and it would be more enjoyable.

    Tenia dudas sobre este juego, pero como fan de Digimon, me di la oportunidad de jugarlo, y vaya que me dio una enorme sorpresa, un excelente juego! la historia te atrapa, es madura e interesante, los momentos de juego son divertidos, no me decepciono, un juegazo, y mas si eres fan de esta franquicia lo vas amar!!1

    Would be a solid 10 if the displayed percentage chance was correct. I mean, not mentioning the 'Be my friend' chance which is not even half the displayed, missing two 80%, one 66% and one 62% hits in a row is ridiculous (literally 0.008448% chance of happening).

    Average game with very little combat, and tons of texts which is ok since the game is actually more a visual novel than an rpg. Story was nice, had potential but it felt watered down by simple narrative with so much unnecessary dialogue and whiny annoying characters which I'll soon hopefully forget. Combat was the best part. I'm not saying is terrible game, just average. I ended upAverage game with very little combat, and tons of texts which is ok since the game is actually more a visual novel than an rpg.     Digimon sSurvive does a wonderful job at immersing you in its narrative, with gorgeous art and a story that would stand comfortably alongside any season of Digimon. This is my first time playing a game that is primarily a visual novel and it really has me feeling like I was part of the story and l carefully selecting my responses . Alongside that is the tactical rpg gameplay, which IDigimon sSurvive does a wonderful job at immersing you in its narrative, with gorgeous art and a story that would stand comfortably alongside any season of Digimon. This is my first time playing a game that is primarily a visual novel and it really has me feeling like I was part of the story and l carefully selecting my responses . Alongside that is the tactical rpg gameplay, which I though complimented the Digimon franchise very well. Thanks to my investment in the narrative it made my choices in battle feel that much more important. I honestly haven’t had a gameplay experience quite like this before!… Expand

    I didn't have high hopes for this game but I bought this because I love the Digimon franchise and want them to continue making games. With the amount of potential it has with the sheer amount of Digimon and absurd levels of evolution possibilities you have to wonder why they don't make something akin to SMT (Cyber Sleuth and Hacker's Memory excluded). The visual novel art graphics ofI didn't have high hopes for this game but I bought this because I love the Digimon franchise and want them to continue making games. With the amount of potential it has with the sheer amount of Digimon and absurd levels of evolution possibilities you have to wonder why they don't make something akin to SMT (Cyber Sleuth and Hacker's Memory excluded). The visual novel art graphics of Survive is stunning with a memorable cast of characters. The karma system that plays into the VN which directly impacts the evolution your digimon takes is interesting and has potential in future games. The story is dark and is clearly meant for fans like myself who grew up watching Digimon adventure in the mornings before school. In terms of tactical gameplay - it is pretty underwhelming. The animations are slow and have a low frame-rate which makes it feel extremely sluggish. If they had the level of butter-smooth, fast gameplay like Disgaea, this would resolve a majority of the game's problems. Survive is a decent entry in the Digimon series but leaves much to be desired.… Expand

Every new decision is met with “we can’t do that it’s too dangerous” “what else are we going to do stay here and die” “we have to go even though it’s dangerous”.     Its exactly what it is, a visual novel with some tactical battles. The story is gripping and a must for fans of the original Digimon anime. It would have benefited a bit more from more story-impacting decisions though.

    So, i love digimon and couldn't wait to play this, but the realization hit me hard. This genre mashup don't work for me. I mean, the artstyle is quite nice and beautiful, but i wanted to fight with my digimon, run around and explore the world (not particular an open world). Here i have to watch the people talk in an stiff style, only to click them with the "a" button away. I am sad thatSo, i love digimon and couldn't wait to play this, but the realization hit me hard.     I think I went into this for the wrong reasons. I honestly couldn't stand this game, I came into this wanting a fun Digimon tactical rpg, instead I got a Visual Novel. Maybe I'm just small brained or something but I just was not able to dig the story in this game, most of the characters were a bit too much and I never managed to grab onto anyone as a likeable character in my eyes. A lot of folks focus on the idea that somehow this game is great as long as you recognize that it's a visual novel, but that's simply not the case. Not to say it's bad either, it's just a very middle of the road title. In all honesty, the story and characters are enjoyable, which is obviously a big plus for this sort of game. The5/10 if you don't care about Digimon, 7/10 if you do. A lot of folks focus on the idea that somehow this game is great as long as you recognize that it's a visual novel, but that's simply not the case. Not to say it's bad either, it's just a very middle of the road title. In all honesty, the story and characters are enjoyable, which is obviously a big plus for this sort of game. The presentation is also very easy on the eyes, with expertly drawn artwork, a mild amount of animations, and great looking Digimon rigs in battle. Some people may see the number of available Digimon and be disappointed when comparing to games with larger rosters, but the scope and progression of the game really make that a non-issue, the number of Digimon units you can recruit and evolve feels just right. However, where the game begins to lose points is in the gameplay itself, both the visual novel and tactics gameplay. Starting with the battles, there is absolutely nothing new brought to the table here. If you've played a strategy game on the PS1, then you know exactly what you are getting into. Maps are big but units don't always have movement options to account for that, so you can end up sending 4-5 turns just trying to reach an opponent, or more if said opponent is programmed to just run to the far corner of the map. It's pretty uninteresting overall, especially when playing on lower difficulty levels. I hear some people say that auto-battle makes that a non-issue, but if the preferred way to play a game is to not play it at all, then there is likely something wrong here. Similar to games like Fire Emblem, you can attempt to recruit opponents depending on the battle type, though this process is very tedious, and begs you to just use a guide. Whether you have the chance to recruit depends on whether you guess the right answers to 3 questions, with the mediocre translation making your responses nonsensical at times (a running theme in the game). Not that it matters, as there is absolutely nothing to indicate what the correct answer should be, it's a complete guess if this is your first time hearing that enemy give that question. Even if you do get every answer right, you can still lose out on recruiting simply because you only have a percentage chance to be successful, depending your character's current alignment, so some Digimon will always just be more difficult to get depending on the route you are attempting to take.

    Battles of course are only a third of the equation, possibly less depending on how you play. The game is first and foremost a visual novel and it really likes to draw that out. The scenarios exist largely to waste your time, as it can take a significant amount of time for anything meaningful to happen. Characters waste time repeating information constantly, and not just single sentences. A perfect example is chapter 4, where the exact same 5-minute situation plays out at least 3 times, with no progression of any kind, followed by the most drop-dead uninteresting exploration I've ever experienced. It's clear they were really trying to include gameplay elements for the sake of simply including gameplay elements, but these portions of the game would have been MORE interesting without needless player interaction. Meanwhile for cases where player choice does matter, the localization is once again very hit and miss, making it sometimes difficult to choose an answer you would actually agree with. The free-time segments are probably where the visual novel aspect shines, as despite the confusing translation, you generally do end up at least getting to know the characters better.

    All of these complaints are mostly harmless, but they do add up to make an experience that isn't by any means new or interesting. There are much better visual novels, there are much better tactics games, go play those instead if you haven't. If you really like Digimon (which I do), then you may at least find value in this being an enjoyable Digimon narrative.    … Expand

    I was so excited for this game. It is disappointing. It has minimal gameplay. It is a visual novel and not a good one. It looks terrible. I was hours in before there was any gameplay. I really expected a real Digimon game, not this.

However, I wish they would've drew a bit more from some other story-driven games such as Disco Elysium which showed greater depth of penmanship as well as a more lushish environment. You know, the big and expected game will come out after 1 month and it looks like it will come out as a warm-up before it(but it isn't).     Let me explain what I mean with an example. Imagine that you celebrate your birthday every few years. For this special day, you always asked for the birthday cake from the patisserie you order. You took the cake box to the table and when you opened it, only one biscuit came out. When you called the bakery, they said "they are same" BUT IT ISN'T

Especially after the last two games this just seems like a low effort disappointment. Supposedly there are no plans for another game now for 2 years so this is all we get for now.     as a digimon fan since the 90s. and I've played all the games. thisbgame is the worst. what a waste. too much dialogue. no free motion that we can control. the battles r lame slow and boring. the story takes way too long. 4 years for this trash. 4 years u could've made a remake ofdigimon world 2 and 3 . that would have been the best . what a waste of time

    This game has been a long time coming, and clearly needed time to work on some of the visual frame-rate issues etc that plagued it when first revealed. However, now the game is finally out, I have to admit that the improvements can't have been made in the visual department as it's virtually the same. Not only that, but did the team every at any point pitch this release as a visual novel? So going into this and realising it had been at least two hours before playing an actual game with RPG elements to it, blew my mind. I bought this expecting a darker more mature tone compared to Pokémon, but I didn't buy this expecting 80% visual novel. I can't imagine most people buying this will be either. Not fun, not what I'd expect from a great return for Digimon, a massive let down. Sorry.… Expand

    Since its a jumble between 2 genres that are difficult to combine successfully (VN and Tactical RPG), which means that it cannot stand out surprisingly in both as if it were individually with each.

    As a graphic novel, the characters almost lack any animation or mobility, being NPG's that only move their mouths (and occasionally, the PNG is deformed to simulate movement), which would not be a problem if in the VN niche there are works made by fewer people who left behind those animation deficiencies..
    The finish, production values, and technical ambition resemble (no offense) that of an indie. Which is hardly justifiable in a main Digimon game.    … Expand

    It's closer to a 5 but need to combat people giving it unwarranted 10s. While a novel effort, story is shallow.and for somerhing credited as a.visual novel it may be one of the least compelling i've ever played, with little to no player choice, bland characters, and a juvenile plot that misses what makes digimon deep.

    One of the most boring and tedious games I've ever had the misfortune to play, the game is 80% scripts and dialogue, and not exactly a entertaining dialogue.
    The characters are simply poorly written, and while the RPG system has potential, it's completely wasted.

    Era tanto bello digimon cyber sleuth perché rovinare un gioco solo 100 digimon niente esplorazione del mondo battaglie digimon in 2d meno male che ho preso xenoblade chronicles 3 e non mi so fatto abbindolare da sti pagliacci che ci hanno messo 3 anni x fare sto gioco di menta . Ps lo ha preso un mio amico e me lo ha fatto provare lo ha ridato indietro e ha preso xenoblade anche lui

    The plot and character development are almost non-existent, stereotypical teenage horror movies tropes and shallow shonen anime types are the nail in the coffin for this title.

    Always in your 1st game certain characters will die with their digimon and certain characters will live, even if you send them to the battlefield as a sacrifice.
    So it seems that the only real decision is to buy this    Decisions and deaths is the scoop of this visual novel, but is a fallacy. Events occur by default regardless of the player's decisions or parameters they have obtained.
    Always in your 1st game certain characters will die with their digimon and certain characters will live, even if you send them to the battlefield as a sacrifice.
    So it seems that the only real decision is to buy this title or not.

    Most of the characters have cartoon personalities and do not make decisions that a human would make in reality and it doesn't feel like a mature story at all, but the death scenes can be disturbing for the little so I don't understand what audience it could be directed.

    For other part, Takuma doesn't compl as a character or as an avatar, and it's hard to connect with him. There is no female lead character as in the case of Cyber ​​Sleuth or Next Order.

    Regarding the story, it is poorly worked and the translations in parts are poorly done.
    I feel that 4 years gave them time to think well about the plot, but not respected the basic concept of digimon (digital beings) and treated them as ghosts/spirits.
    The twist of the story is not surprising at all, many events are too predictable, which makes the story feel heavy, for taking so long on something obvious.

    Regarding the SRPG, it is an interesting proposal but still green, however, it has potential.

    The balance between digimon does not exist, and some have a clear preferentialism and others have been very disadvantaged.

    The price for what it offers is not correct.

    I would say that it greatly influences how you get along with the characters influences whether you like the title or not, so if you do not check the deaths and survivors you can run into an unpleasant disappointment of the title, as I said the deaths are default and unavoidable.
    And I mention it because if you dislike both characters that will survive in all the routes, the game becomes torture for completed and can access to NG+...    … Expand

    There is no multiplayer. So once you beat the story, this game will go back to the shelf and collect dust. Charging $60 for a game with no replay value is a cashgrab. And the greedy developers had the audacity to charge $60 for a PowerPoint presentation. Not even EA or Take-Two would be greedy enough to sell $60 PowerPoint presentations. To make matters worse, these cheapskate developers were too stingy to pay for English voice actors and still had the nerve to slap a $60 price tag on this "game".     This game was CLEARLY ADVERTISED as a visual novel game. They explicitly stated it was 70/30. Now I have never played a visual novel game in my life, and play mostly fps/rpgs ( fortnite, cod, gta, god of war, horizon dawn, halo.. you get the point) so when I say I don’t like text heavy games I mean it.. except something happened. I had 0 interest in this game for the 3 years leading up to its release, I was extremely disappointed the next Digimon game was basically a story book video game.. until peoples pre order’s started arriving early and people were praising it.. I got intrigued and started watching some twitch videos.. fast forward to last Friday and I was at Best Buy buying 1 of the only 2 copies left.. This game has me hooked. It is very dialogue heavy, but I knew that. I went into this game with 0 expectations of a good game and have been blown away. I wanted to support the Digimon ip and I’m glad I did.

    I’m only several hours into it, just starting chapter 2. But the characters have me fully invested, they did a great job introducing the characters, aswell as introducing the Digimon. The story is moving along at a decent pace, and the exploration and battles are a nice break every so often, but doesn’t pull you away long enough to lose interest, compared to say cyber sleuth where you were running around doing pointless missions 90% of the time that had no bearing on the main story. As somebody with ADHD I fully expected myself to not enjoy this game, but man was I wrong. You can fully skip dialogue sections, or simply fast forward, which for someone like me who reads to fast is great, because now I can go ahead quicker, without feeling rushed or slow down by anything or go slower if feel and just take my time. I’m loving this game. It’s exactly what I expected yet nothing what I expected at the same time. I’m glad I took the plunge and while I can’t say I’d be excited for another game like this, I am excited to see where Digimon goes next.    … Expand

    Great game! The VN is amazing and the story is really cool. The combat is like FF Tactics and Fire Emblem which I like really like. Got my teen girls into the game and they fell in love with the story and they like the combat since they have played Fire Emblem games before.

    Gameplay:
    This game is mostly a click and search for items as well as selecting choices throughout the story. There are battles scattered through out or you can choose free battles and keep battling until you are done grinding for levels, items and even recruiting digimon. The battles take place on a grid field that you move your digimon units and attack the enemies. It’s simple but it gets the job done. You can equip items or different skills but it’s either and/or if each as two is the max. I didn’t care about the battles so luckily there is an auto battle option you can use to choose how they auto fight. Using the auto fight, the AI made great choices I only took control when there were important battles as battles can be speed up when on auto. I found the battle speed to be on the slow end.

    Story:
    This is were Digimon Survive excels at and this is what Adventure 2020 should have been. You can tell all the effort was put into the story from the world building to the difficult choices you have to make throughout the story. In my opinion it was well written and made me care about the characters even the annoying ones as well as their digital companions. In its core this is Digimon and one of the best story so far as these middle schoolers and upper class men get transported to a mysterious island of unknown origin were they fend of foes, explore the land and grow as a person as they try to survive on this mysterious land. You can see the tribute of Digimon adventure to some extent in the story.

    Graphics/sound: I was impressed with the visuals and soundtrack.

    Overall, if you don’t mind reading a book and are a fan of Digimon, this is a must play. You won’t regret it. It’s a solid Digimon story experience with a mediocre battle system but the story makes up for it. It’s not perfect but it’s great only thing wrong I see is that their is no English voice over since it’s sub like cybersleuth.    … Expand

    Simple don't go in to this expecting a action game, this isn't Cyber sleuth/hackers memory, Next order or the world series.

    It's a visual novel with tactical RPG game play which I'm not a huge fan of either but this game blends it perfectly and the story just drags you in. It's definitely not a game for younger kids.

The length of the game, the multiple routes, and the collecting and using of various digimon is already enough for the $60 price point. Factor in a wonderful story full of ups and downs, smiles and tears and an overarching mystery that sets a dismal but optimistic tone throughout the story.

    This game is a 100% buy if you know what to expect. Expect lots of dialogue. Expect your choices to matter and the story to matter a lot. You get to battle often but it's not a combatic game first off. This game's focus is on the story, the dialogue, friendship, bonds, and player choice. If you can get into that, I highly recommend this game. It has everything you'd expect in a VN. The voice acting is lovely, the immersive writing is great and engaging and the characters are interesting, even while some may be better than others.

    The battle aspects are fun and easy to play with. Boss battles are far more fun than other basic battles but even those can be fun with befriending new digimon and grinding. They're a great break from the story elements that can definitely be heavy on your brain, so go do some free battles to give yourself a break here and there as the story doesn't really take days off from being pretty heavy emotionally.

    It pains me to see the negative reviews because you can tell the game has been crafted with love and care. The negative reviews have a lot in common in that they're all from those who didn't know what the game was before really purchasing it. Please do your research on the game first -- if you're interested in the game, it'll hit all your expectations. If you want to play an RPG, check out Cyber Sleuth.

    PS -- Knocking a point off for one specific character and his treatment of a special, precious bean. It honestly infuriated me (sign of good writing in a good game, in fairness). I wish I could have done more in the game to avoid a certain event happening. I believe you can in new game+ but it is still infuriating I had to sit idle and watch as this character did these things to the precious bean. It ruined my mood for many hours lol. If it were real life, that guy would have had issues with me far before this event. I didn't like how that aspect was constantly ignored without worry from the cast.    … Expand

    Awsome game. It’s like I’m playing a Digimon Anime. Really good story, very imersive. Adds a lot to the franchise. But, Be warned. The game is mainly focused on the narative and Visual Novel elements. It’s not a regular RPG.

    What did people expect when they buy this game? It's a visual novel and not a shooter, the story is great with some unexpected turns. The most negative "reviews" are the ones that don't know what they buy, they would cry when they buy a book because it has words in it.

    The biggest problem to this game is that you pay $60 for a game where there isn't much actual gaming, you get to see a lot of story and make decisions. For me personally, it isn't worth $60 because of that. It is quite lengthy. I haven't gotten to the end of it yet, and I've probably put 12 hours into it. But I'm not sure if the length makes up for the lack of actual gameplay.The biggest problem to this game is that you pay $60 for a game where there isn't much actual gaming, you get to see a lot of story and make decisions. For me personally, it isn't worth $60 because of that. It is quite lengthy. I haven't gotten to the end of it yet, and I've probably put 12 hours into it. But I'm not sure if the length makes up for the lack of actual gameplay. Additionally, similar to other recent titles in the franchise, the whoever does the English subtitles is a bit of a weeaboo.     However, the actual story is great and it is full of twists, turns and darkness. The art is great and satisfies you from an aesthetic stand point. I thoroughly enjoy playing it despite its drawbacks.

This game is excellent and the detail they used on applying real world relatable themes such as the diversity in a person personality and how different perspectives would react to it a given situation. The dark theme was meshed wonderfully enough to anyone whose paying attention and can put together the story ignoring the translation errors, but any case I digress 10.0 and worth the three year wait.     The art and music are absolutely gorgeous: it's like watching a new season of the anime, following similar story beats including fun climactic battles and as advertised the game is mostly visual novel whereas the battles take a more conclusive role to some story arcs.

    The game takes the character archetypes Adventure layed out as well as the narrative mysteries and twists them into interesting new variations, providing a more realistic take on the setting of seven kids getting lost in another world with monsters. The result is something like Lord of the Flies, where the kids constantly argue and some even start to lose their grip on reality. It's refreshingly raw for the Digimon franchise and goes to some unexpectedly dark places in the storytelling.
    This game is a triumph for Digimon fans, servicing us with the mature story for the fans who grew up with the franchise that we always wanted.    … Expand

    The tactical battle elements are pretty standard (think fire emblem or devil survivor) with a few cool elements that differentiate it from other similar games. Also it's digimon. There are also a healthy amount of free battles scattered throughout that keep the game exciting if you're ever in need of a battle. The visuals look really cool, I've not played too many visual novels so I won't be able to say whether they look better or worse. But the character portraits do a really good job at making the characters feel like people. The animations are pretty limited but are present enough as to not make these sections boring. Overall as someone who has played many a digimon game, this one is a welcome change of pace. If you are a fan of the digimon franchise you'll find something for you here if not there will be a lot to love and dislike. One just needs to get past the VN taboo to find the heart that lies win this game.    … Expand

    Never got into the VN genre of video games. But this pulled me right in. As a fan of Digimon, the game is very well done. A few translation errors but those aren’t a big deal. Ignore the review bombing. Those are mostly salty players who obviously have no idea what the game is supposed to be. It was made clear that the game was going to be majorly a VN more than an RPG/tactics game. TheNever got into the VN genre of video games. But this pulled me right in. As a fan of Digimon, the game is very well done. A few translation errors but those aren’t a big deal. Ignore the review bombing.     Great game, its really story focused keep that in mind, but if you wanna have a interactive Digimon Story that is tickeling the nostalgia from digimon Adventure, then this is your game. beautiful visuals too.

    This game is being review bombed for being exactly what it was advertised.

    It is a visual novel, and a good one at that. The story, characters and visuals are excellent, and the tactics parts are fun and fulfilling.

    As a long term digimon fan, I am not disappointed.

    Keep in mind that this IS a horror game, if that makes you uncomfortable I don't recommend playing. It's very good though.

    If you like visual novels you will like this game. If you like strategy RPG combat. You will like this game. If you are only here for the combat though, this might be a tough sell. The game has a wonderful horror element and the story telling is excellent paired with the strategy combat.

    A totally enjoyable game, a visual novel that has their on story and it seems like an interactive book, really touching history and amazing game game play, nothing too complex. this is a good comeback for the digimon saga.

Gorgeous visuals, wonderful music, intriguing characters who drive the story, and several different modes of play. It's true some of the game is just characters talking, but those are plot-specific moments, and it's not like that's all there is.     Poor marketing on bandaid for this game. Not explainibg the visual novel, story telling aspect of the game. Characters are more well define than any of the cyber sleuth series. And that is the point. This game was made to tell a horror / suspense story. Credits to the devs for including a cast of non traditional Protagonist digimon.

    Great game, a compelling story and a solid tactical combat system. Yes, it's a Visual Novel, as they said a hundred times and, if you don't like it, well, go play another game. But if you give Digimon Survive a chance, you'll find a great game.

    The game is great, ignore the negative reviews. They are made by people who clearly dislike reading. This is a visual novel so of course it's going to be text heavy, and that is a good thing since the story is one of the best aspects of Digimon Survive.

    A really good take on the Digimon story! I've super enjoyed the darker and more mature storyline a ton! The only reason that I'm giving it a 9 is that there are several translation errors in the game that were glaringly obvious to my eyes, but other than that it's a very very fun story to experience!

    A great change of pace for Digimon games. Cyber Sleuth and World games have been a staple for so long, it's nice to get personally introduced to visual novels with this game. The combat is good, but definitely could be more robust. The game being a visual novel gives them the ability to really give a good story and they do just that.

    I see people hating in the fact that it's mostly a visual novel but to me it was always going to be one based on what they originally told us. I've almost completed 2 of the endings and to say the least, I think it's an amazing game. The character devalopment and choices feel refreshing, and although it gets darker, it still feels right.     Digimon Survive should have a lot of depth, with partner Digimon evolving and devolving, free-roaming Digimon to recruit, and a vibrant cast of characters who, on the surface, are generally enjoyable. Looking at the game from afar, it truly captures a feeling of desolation and nostalgia. But it comes up just short when it comes to gameplay and story—the two most important things for an SRPG and visual novel hybrid. A “Truthful” path awaits as a New Game+ option, but the gameplay shortcomings, unfortunately, aren’t alleviated with repeat playthroughs. Digimon Survive‘s charms aren’t fleeting by any means, but neither are its disappointments.

    I love visual novels, and I love strategy games. For a subsection of gamers, Digimon Survive will hit the perfect sweet spot between both of those. It’s got everything you’d expect from a digestible entry with a focus on presentation. However, I couldn’t help but feel that the game is just shy of greatness. Make no mistake, Digimon Survive is good. However, despite its best efforts, I found that the pacing drags and the combat mechanics are unremarkable. If you have enough patience to engage with its story and gameplay, the positives will far outweigh the negatives. It’s flawed, but the heart shines through and it goes down easy thanks to being one of the best-looking anime-style games released in years. Are there better SRPGs to play right now? Sure, but none offer Digimon’s unique brand of SRPG and I think it hits more than it misses.
