Jan 23, 2021Finally a Switch port of this amazing game. I love the character design and soundtrack, you can clearly see a lot of love and care went into this game.
-
Jan 11, 2021Took a minute to warm up to this game, but I enjoyed it thoroughly. Has enough of a skill curb and different game types to put hours into. Only wish there was a dice roll animation.

Jan 7, 2021Great game for quick sessions with a complete run taking about 15 min. It’s like a light hearted slay the spire, but still requires strategy and has a bunch of characters with different mechanics to get good at. Sometimes the chance element dooms a run, especially with certain characters (I’m looking at you witch and robot). But overall I’m having a great time playing and recommend it.

Jan 20, 2021What an amazing game! I was hesitant at first, but I’m so glad I took a chance. While the game may look simple at the outset, it wastes no time implementing clever and complex uses of its mechanics. Highly recommend. Top 10 switch games for sure. Definitely “Uses all the Buffalo” - Snoman Gaming

Jan 31, 2021really great game that feels perfectly at home on the switch. so many ideas went into the different character classes and play styles. really polished game with a great soundtrack

Mar 14, 2021Starts off really fun but then the game mechanics turn against you quickly. After about 4 hours, it becomes impossible to get past a level.

Mar 27, 2022Too random and lack of control after some of first levels. Very frustrating and annoying game.

Jul 10, 2022A nice twist on the rogue "deck" (dice) builder, though doesn't have quite the lasting appeal of the leaders of the genre

Aug 15, 2022It's clear that a lot of effort went into this game, and it's super fun to play. Would highly recommend if you enjoy roguelikes.

Oct 3, 2022I don't have much to say about this game. For what it is, it's a perfectly fine, perfectly fun luck-based RTS. The style is fun enough, and the gameplay loop is quite nice. Figuring out each character is fun! I think the soundtrack is the shining point of this game, in my opinion. Each song on the soundtrack is pretty great.
Worth trying out, at least. -

Aug 29, 2021Game is great! Very addictive. It’s a lighter version of “Slay The Spire.” You build a “deck” with dice values throughout many dungeons. If you’re on the fence about it just jump!

Jan 28, 2021Dicey Dungeons makes the most of its possibilities. It is original, challenging, extremely varied... it manages to create with a simple roll of the dice the emotion of knowing if we can resist until the next fight. It mixes many really interesting formulas for the players.

Jan 6, 2021I came into Dicey Dungeons with high hopes and I was thoroughly blown away. It’s so smartly designed in how the classes and equipment all work together to create consistently unique and creative instances where you have to squeeze the usefulness out of almost every play style and strategy. The episodic design fits it very well, because it makes the early parts far more approachable, while keeping the variety up enough that even later episodes slow you down, you still have so much to enjoy. Dicey Dungeons is an amazing game that I’d almost call a roguelike game for people who don’t like roguelikes. You do have to like turn-based combat, though. And dice.

Jan 5, 2021Well, this game is just plain awesome. It’s kind of a dungeon-crawl roguelite thing, but the battles use an interesting dice mechanic that really helps the game stand out. As you make your way through each floor, you’ll find various skills that you can pick and choose from to fill out your battle actions. Each turn you roll a number of dice and assign them to those skills to use them. There are lots of different kinds of enemies and skills, and the maps themselves, while simple, have some points of interest and branching paths you can choose to explore. One of those games where you fire it up meaning to play for twenty minutes and end up playing for four hours. I’d expect no less from Terry Cavanagh, though.
