Demon Slayer - Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles is an incredibly impressive anime-inspired fighter. Visually, it surpasses my expectations of how I imagined it would play on the Nintendo Switch. If you are a fan of the series, this is a must-buy. If you aren’t but a fan of anime-related fighters, you’ll definitely enjoy this for the combat alone, and the Story Mode is deep enough for you to understand the characters, their relationships, and the journey they have been on. This is the first Demon Slayer video game, and developers CyberConnect2 have knocked it out of the park. I am very excited about the DLC and any possible further instalments.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles is a good game that combines adventure and 3D fighting focused on fans, but is enjoyable for any lover of the genre. Although it has certain aspects that could be improved, it is very faithful, entertaining and performs very well, so it is highly recommended.

Demon Slayer - Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles is a surprisingly well done port of a pretty good game. Given all that The Hinokami Chronicles ends up accomplishing, hopefully this heralds the start of many more high quality games based on the IP to come.

Demon Slayer: -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles is a very solid action game, presenting a gripping story and thrilling action combat alongside an art style that almost perfectly matches the popular anime. Though combat can sometimes feel a bit shallow and the performance isn’t always perfect, we’d still give this one a strong recommendation, even to those who don’t have any background with the anime or manga.

Kimetsu no Yaiba arrives on the Nintendo Switch with a fantastic port, so much that you'll have to look carefully to find any real difference with the other versions of the game. Portability and the fact that it's the "complete" version (with all post-launch characters) makes the Switch version one we would recommend without a doubt.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles joins Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot as another fantastic anime game on Nintendo Switch when it comes to visuals and port quality. This new version arrives packed with all post-launch updates from existing versions right from the start, and it is an easy recommendation for fans of Demon Slayer and anyone who held off on the getting the game to play it on the go on Nintendo Switch.

A game as entertaining as it is lacking in content. The fun of its combat and the possibilities of exploration clash directly with the repetitive and unvaried that are many aspects of this title.

With six hours of gameplay to hand, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles is occasionally a very engaging game. With an incredibly story-telling nature and a Rolodex of enemies to face, if you’re new to Demon Slayer then this may be a foot in the door. However, if you are familiar and consider yourself a fan of the franchise then I think there are just a few too many holes in the mechanics and story to sell this game to you. But, if you’re willing, then I would recommend it for a fun hands-on approach to a much-loved title. It won’t be that detrimental to your love for the franchise, but be prepared to question certain elements.

Overall, my experience with Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- the Hinokami Chronicles was a pleasant one. I greatly enjoyed the story and I am looking forward to its continuation, though hopefully with more actual gameplay in place of cinematics. Hopefully the battle system will also get some more attention to spice it up a little. Aside from the boss fights, the combat itself was pretty easy compared to other fighters I’ve played.

Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles delivers satisfying fights wrapped in a stunning presentation that is sure to delight fans of the series. Whilst the story mode’s connective tissue tying the fights together can be a bit flimsy, it’s a serviceable way of retelling narrative. The arena-style fights will feel very familiar to those experienced in the genre and can be found wanting when it comes to the depth of its mechanics, but anyone with a passing interest in Demon Slayer is going to love every second of this and may even convert a few new fans along the way.

This hybrid version of the adventures of Tanjiro and the demon slayers provides the essentials in terms of gameplay, content and performance. The title of Sega, Aniplex and CyberConnect2 even allows itself the luxury of aligning a complete roster of Day One fighters. The video game adaptation of Demon Slayer on Nintendo Switch is recommended for fans of the manga and / or anime who have not yet yielded to the call of fan service.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles brings on Switch the same flavor we savored at the end of 2021, bringing to the table the free updates released on the other platforms, and the promise of new playable characters coming in the future. The portable experience is surprisingly faithful to the home console one, but some extent of exclusive content or at least an updated story mode would have turned a simple “switch port” into a much more welcomed return.

This is a solid effort to adapt one of the most successful animes in the past few years to Nintendo’s hardware, although if you’re looking for something more past the adaptation, the gameplay may feel a bit weak.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles for Nintendo Switch is as an extremely faithful tie-in to the original anime, thanks to excellent cel-shaded graphics that gives the best during the cutscenes. The combat system is nice and the Versus mode can count on a few more characters, but the campaign remains a missed opportunity.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles is as good as it ever was. The Switch version doesn’t add anything for people who have the game on other systems. Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm fans, who might be excited for another similar game, should dial their content expectations way back. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba fans don’t need their teeny narrative summarized, the way Naruto fans might’ve wanted theirs. Merging these two franchises wasn’t the right decision. It would’ve been the definition of “a renter” in the 90s.

    Good-
Flashy and satisfying combat system that leads to amazing looking battles. Packed with loads of content and some amazing single player modes. Loads of content that fans of the manga and anime will enjoy.

    Bad-
The story mode is a very rough intro to the series and does not stand alone well. While combat is fun, it lacks depth and eventually becomes a bit boring

    Thoughts-
If you’re not a fan, and do end up with this game anyhow, it’s still a fun time. The brawling combat is great, the exploration is mostly linear but rewarding, the world depicted in the game is intriguing and begs more familiarity, the voice acting, music, and graphics are all great, and there’s a whole lot of content to chew through to boot. And if you ARE a fan? It’s hard to imagine a better video game adaptation of the beloved property than Demon Slayer, Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles ends up being. Hopefully this heralds the start of many more high quality games based on the IP to come.

Animaciones geniales, entretenido combate, la exploración es horrible y hay pocos modos de juego, no destaca nada en especial.
