    Good-
Flashy and satisfying combat system that leads to amazing looking battles. Packed with loads of content and some amazing single player modes. Loads of content that fans of the manga and anime will enjoy.
Bad- The story mode is a very rough intro to the series and does not stand alone well. While combat is fun, it lacks depth and eventually becomes a bit boring Thoughts- If

If you’re not a fan, and do end up with this game anyhow, it’s still a fun time. The brawling combat is great, the exploration is mostly linear but rewarding, the world depicted in the game is intriguing and begs more familiarity, the voice acting, music, and graphics are all great, and there’s a whole lot of content to chew through to boot. And if you ARE a fan? It’s hard to imagine a better video game adaptation of the beloved property than Demon Slayer, Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles ends up being. Hopefully this heralds the start of many more high quality games based on the IP to come.

Demon Slayer was a great anime and the game is just as great. The game looks very nice and runs smooth on the Switch. Controls are good and I really like the story and gameplay. Lots of fun here.

This review comes from my personal perspective as a Demon Slayer fan and with that comes some bias so take it as you will.

The story is really well done and captures the feel of the anime very well. It was a lot of fun reliving the various parts of the story that I was very familiar with already. The combat is satisfying but there aren't an awful lot of fights in the story without

The combat is satisfying but there aren't an awful lot of fights in the story without going back to the random encounters that appear but overall I enjoyed it. the exploration parts are fine, very linear but they do a good job of telling the story from the show.

Overall I think this is a game for existing fans of the anime as I could see someone picking this up with no prior experience of the show and being completely turned off.

It's just ripped off naruto ultimate ninja games but with different story and characters. I just can't give more than 6 to anime game that was made without passion and love. If you've never heard of demon slayer before, I think that this game could show you is that franchise is for you. But if you want to play a far superior anime games I could recommend naruto rise of ninja / the broken bond or much newer DBZ kakarot. Those games were made with stunning passion and love for anime games. I could only wish that someday there would be a demon slayer game in open world. Expand

Animaciones geniales, entretenido combate, la exploración es horrible y hay pocos modos de juego, no destaca nada en especial.

With six hours of gameplay to hand, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles is occasionally a very engaging game. With an incredibly story-telling nature and a Rolodex of enemies to face, if you’re new to Demon Slayer then this may be a foot in the door. However, if you are familiar and consider yourself a fan of the franchise then I think there are just a few too many holes in the mechanics and story to sell this game to you. But, if you’re willing, then I would recommend it for a fun hands-on approach to a much-loved title. It won’t be that detrimental to your love for the franchise, but be prepared to question certain elements.

Overall, my experience with Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- the Hinokami Chronicles was a pleasant one. I greatly enjoyed the story and I am looking forward to its continuation, though hopefully with more actual gameplay in place of cinematics. Hopefully the battle system will also get some more attention to spice it up a little. Aside from the boss fights, the combat itself was pretty easy compared to other fighters I’ve played.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles is as good as it ever was. The Switch version doesn’t add anything for people who have the game on other systems. Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm fans, who might be excited for another similar game, should dial their content expectations way back. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba fans don’t need their teeny narrative summarized, the way Naruto fans might’ve wanted theirs. Merging these two franchises wasn’t the right decision. It would’ve been the definition of “a renter” in the 90s.
