If you're interested in a game with great characters and dialogues, dark and interesting story and unique atmosphere, then don't hesitate and go for it. Sure, the gameplay is not great and it has it's fair share of flaws... But look past that and you'll find it is a very unique and memorable experience!! I finished it 2 times already and I would do it again. Can't wait for the sequel too :-)

More like 6.5 I bought this game (collectors edition) around 3 months ago. I find it really hard to remain playing the story without stopping as I always get stuck in regards on what to do. I don't think an open world is the way to go with this game.

1-Why am I forced to travel from place to place when the engine of the game is clearly the best one when you're driving or waking in this

1-Why am I forced to travel from place to place when the engine of the game is clearly the best one when you're driving or waking in this open world kinda style horror game.

2-Specific times to access certain places or move forward in certain missions: I'm stuck in a mission that says 22:00 - 23:00 I've tried absolutely all **** times in order to move forward and its always too late/early....

Overall, this game is okay if you can move smoothly with the story however, it is such a big headache and makes the game go by sooo slow especially when your speed is limited. I was going to buy part 2 pre order but the first one made me think it twice.... So sad that the only Nintendo Switch horror exclusive has all these issues that make the game boring, long and/or confusing.

So much fun, great plot, some messy frame rate and graphics, the enemies are a little boring. But the music and the characters are great, and all the weird (very weird) stuff this games uses makes it a must-play for any person who likes horror and mystery games, specially if you like complicated and weird plots.

I don't know how to review this game. Its a really bad game but for some reason I kinda love it. Driving is unbelievably tedious though. I guess I'll give it a 6/10 just because I don't know how else to rate it

Every technical issue is worth the hassle, because no other game offers a world as alive or as charming with as much conceptual depth. Deadly Premonition is nothing short of brilliant.

Just like a terrible movie you can’t stop laughing at, Deadly Premonition is entertaining in all the ways it was not intended to be. Most of its elements are poor, but the culmination of all those terrible elements makes for a surprisingly entertaining experience.

The general clunkiness of the controls is honestly kind of disappointing to re-experience so many years later, but just as was the case all those years ago, DPO is still a heck of a fun time that out does itself in as far as the overall experience is better than the sum of the parts. That’s a cliche maybe, but it so fittingly applies here I can’t help but call upon it. Bottomline, if your only console option right now is a Switch, you can’t go wrong with DPO, just as long as you go in expecting a dated, but nonetheless very much worthwhile, experience. Otherwise, I’d highly recommend playing the Director’s Cut release from 2013 on the PS3.
