Jul 15, 2018This game is unique and fun at the same time. The puzzles are challenging and engaging. Though I hope there are more Super Mario Odyssey levels. You never seen a game like this before, and Nintendo did a phenomenal job on this game.

Aug 1, 2018Great game, i did'nt play on the wii u, but on switch i realy like this game, simple control, great puzzle challenge, the hidden toad mode is fun and you must explore all the level to find him.

May 12, 2020This is a fun bright game. The puzzles are easy and the game runs smoothly. I tried the demo first but was quickly engaged enough to purchase.

Jul 25, 2018The adventurous Captain Toad still manages to keep its charm and excitement from the Wii U version with upgrades that makes this version unique compared to the others.

May 12, 2019Pretty good for a puzzle game. Difficulty isn't enormous, but neither is it too easy, a relatively good balance.

Jul 20, 2018The game is so much fun. The level design is varied and beautiful. The game mechanics are simple but the designers have done so much with the simple building blocks. It's amazing how much is packed into each tiny level.

Jan 2, 2019While the smaller than usual length may put off some at first, the adorable art style, great visuals, addictive gameplay, good music, great level design, and excellent premise makes this one of the best spin-offs ever made by Nintendo.

Oct 12, 2018I just can't believe Captain Toad only got 8 here....I will give 100 for it's really surprisingly percet level design.

Sep 17, 2018Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a very nice, well thought unique game. A must buy for everyone loving puzzle games. Mind that this it the Wii U version with some extra levels. In my opinion very strange to downvote a game just because its at 3 different systems (3DS, WiiU, Switch)

Jan 12, 2019This game is really fun. It does not change that much from the Wii U game, but the extra content is amazing. The mechanics used in this game are great since you can't jump but their are other ways to get around. I definitely recommend buying this game.

Oct 8, 2018Recommend if you like puzzle solving and simple adventures. For what it proposes to be, it's fun.
-
Nov 16, 2018A hidden gem, you just have to play it for yourself. It’s cheap, and it has just enough content.

Sep 2, 2019this game is fun. it's not gonna blow your mind or anything, but it's still nice, simple fun.

Mar 19, 2019Fun and unique game. The puzzles are creative and the graphics are smooth and appealing. The gameplay feels great and motion controls didn't feel unnecessary. However, do note that there is little to no story and the game feels extremely repetitive after the 2nd chapter.
-
Sep 4, 2019A very charming and sometimes challenging puzzle game that is a little too long for its own good.

CD-ActionOct 25, 2018Main principles of all 80 levels are similar, but thanks to dozens of ideas introduced to spice up the gameplay there is no room for boredom in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. [09/2018, p.65]

Nintendo Force MagazineSep 5, 2018Worth playing if you missed it in 2014, but this Switch port is disappointing and not its best version. [Issue #35 – September/October 2018, p. 62]

Aug 10, 2018Overall, Treasure Tracker is a real gem of a game. It’s also beautiful; I was stunned by it on Wii U, but the visuals have only gotten better on Switch. It’s bright, cheery, and wildly creative from an aesthetic standpoint. Each stage is like a diorama, making the game feel like the player is interacting with toys, rather than lines of code. The soundtrack isn’t especially varied, likely because most stages don’t require a lot of time to beat, but I’d have appreciated a few more tracks to spice things up.
