Jul 15, 2018Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a really charming, cute, and unique game. Seeing every new level is a delight. The only problem is the game gets super repetitive fast. Best played in small doses.

Jan 14, 2020Kinda cool but difficult for kids and many problems in two players, camera mostly.

Dec 21, 2020I want to like this game more. It’s charming, just really repetitive, not challenging and lacks variety.

Jan 29, 2022Fun game, but ultimately short and kind of forgettable. The new content isn't anything to write home about either.

Apr 26, 2020It's a port that has no reason to exist, adds very little new things, and replaces some levels with new, albeit less interesting, levels.
Why not make more new levels and turn it into a sequel instead of another annoying port? -

Aug 23, 2020cute little handheld game. very relaxing and fun to play. the dlc they added was pretty sick. it's a little repetitive but that's not necessarily a bad thing if you love the puzzles

Jan 15, 2022One of the best Mario Spinoffs I've played. It's very fun, but it's a shame you can beat it so fast.

Dec 24, 2018Colorful and fun little puzzle game. I love and prefer the puzzles that takes place on a compact level, like playing in a peep-show cabinet.
But Toad will never be that innocent little guy anymore after all the white house scandals, sad. -
Mar 10, 2021Juego bastante entretenido, que cuenta con una gran cantidad de niveles, tiene una dificultad baja por lo que lo puede disfrutar todo el mundo.

Aug 13, 2023Charming and overall fun. The game can be a little repetitive, especially when bosses are the same

CD-ActionOct 25, 2018Main principles of all 80 levels are similar, but thanks to dozens of ideas introduced to spice up the gameplay there is no room for boredom in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. [09/2018, p.65]

Nintendo Force MagazineSep 5, 2018Worth playing if you missed it in 2014, but this Switch port is disappointing and not its best version. [Issue #35 – September/October 2018, p. 62]

Aug 10, 2018Overall, Treasure Tracker is a real gem of a game. It’s also beautiful; I was stunned by it on Wii U, but the visuals have only gotten better on Switch. It’s bright, cheery, and wildly creative from an aesthetic standpoint. Each stage is like a diorama, making the game feel like the player is interacting with toys, rather than lines of code. The soundtrack isn’t especially varied, likely because most stages don’t require a lot of time to beat, but I’d have appreciated a few more tracks to spice things up.
