Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is definitely the best Western action game on Nintendo Switch and my number ONE shooter on this platform. The action is thrilling, story is smart, and graphics are really great. I was surprised by how smoothly it runs. Definitely a must buy!

Game of 2019 for the Nintendo Switch! A must-have for all the cowboys and girls who like shooting. The atmosphere is incredible and the graphics amazing for the handheld. The feeling when shooting using motion aming is incredible and makes you feel like a real bounty hunter. Take your whiskey and start the journey even you played this long time ago on previous generation consoles or PC.

I loved it on PC and it's just perfect on Switch. Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is one of the best (if not the best) shooters on Nintendo Switch

I wish the campaign was longer and a little better paced, otherwise this is a great fps for the switch

Great portable shooter, fun story, very unique experience. It's nice to have a linear experience like this every now and then.

This is one of my top 10 shooting games , The story the combat the true West difficulty I Love It All , It's one of those games if I just want to have fun for a few hours then I pick it up and have a good time again, But now for a Nintendo switch Port they did a good job on it sad that it isn't 60 frames per second , But still one of the best shooting games and now you can played on the toilet

An old style first person shooter set in the wild west with great characters and art style. The story could be longer and the frame rate a bit better but it's still an excellent port that guarantees hours of fun.

Shooters range from nostalgic little retrogames with low production values to big AAA titles with oodles of content. Call of Juarez: Gunslinger sits comfortably in the middle, and it's all the better for it. It doesn't provide 30 hours of gameplay, or dozens of weapons. Its chapters are short and varied, perfect for consuming on the go. Its chapters are short and varied, perfect for consuming on the go. And the game is perfectly happy with being derivative–but it hits a perfect note with its spaghetti western tone, tempering the violence with a constant tongue-in-cheek attitude.

Just when it seems that CoJ:Gunslinger is about to run out of wild west cliches, it hits the spot again with a running train sequence, a mexican stand-off, or an indian attack. And then, when its inspiration is finally exhausted, it ends on yet another high note, without overstaying its welcome.

You can look at CoJ:Gunslinger as a small game–but it's better described as a game that knows its scope and manages it perfectly. And most importantly, it's good mindless fun all the way through.

definitely not bad shooter as itself and great western story especially good looking visually on oled model with good frame reate. as minuses kinda short main story and as for me stupid ending like mass effect 3 where your previous decisions don't matter and just choose one of the two ending in the end of the game

More kills to the god of kills. Perhaps this can be said about this game.
Talking about its features in this review is not very correct - spoilers are still a bad thing, and the game has been around for six years.
Let's start with the simplest. The picture moved beautifully, there is no soap. How is it played? This is a dynamic shooter where you can catch a little lead. But in general,

How to control? Who wants to - can only control the joysticks, who do not want to - can still control using a gyroscope.
However, the story in the game is somewhat torn, confused and generally very secondary. What happens if you leave only first-person shootings in the RDR, pick up a bunch of weapons and make the character move only on his own? This game will be released.

Great story telling and love how the levels change as the dude tells his story. Hard to play w/ joy cons but w/e. The only real negative is the stupid duels. Horrible mechanics (press zr, then aim and press zr...so why doesnt spamming zr shoot at all??? the instructions are hit zr twice) , they dont really add anything to the game but I guess every game needs an annoying part just to be annoying.

The funniest shooter on the switch, straightforward action with beautiful storytelling in great western atmosphere.

Not terrible. But not excellent, either... somewhere very middle of the road. Controls/aiming tend to feel unresponsive and boss battles are plain awful. Storytelling aspect is nice.

The shooting dynamics are good. The setting, characters, voice acting, and storytelling are good. But they made terribly stupid decisions for the boss fights. It's just really good port of a nice shooter. The only minus I could find is a lack of different guns, but the coolness of the story fixes it)

I was a little skeptical of this game as the "Call of..." and clear coattailing of Red Dead Redemption came to mind as a FPS that tried to make itself Call of Duty in a Western setting.

Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! The controls are bang on and the gunplay mechanics suit the game very well. Not sure why there's a secret system, as to me, it distracts from the gunplay and narrative, but

The perk system, unlike some other games yields rewards that are instantly noticable and makes the game more fun and rewarding to play.

I'm not a fan of Western anything (except for Clint Eastwood's Unforgiven and the OG Xbox game, Gun) and this game just keeps piling on thrill after thrill.

The boss fights are intimidating, but not maddeningly frustrating and the mechanics of the dueling system are well executed.

Our tall-tale telling protagonist is very well written and excellently portrayed by the actor. The overall narrative is actually well written and great effort was put into telling a fictitious tale of the old west with real historical figures. The way the gameplay ties in with the story is again, well executed and the generous humor painted through the campaign will give you some chuckles.

I plan on buying the rest of the series for my Xbox 360. This game is definitely a keeper with good replay value.

Nice shooter. Great graphics for the switch. Good port. Some frustrating difficulty and poor design at places though, like the duels and platforming parts. But the game is a lot of fun, if very linear and lacking depth and collectables and anything of interest other than a shooter on rails. But it is great at what it does, with a well-made world and is very satisfying racking up those kills.

i havent played through the entire game yet, but i've played enough and think my opinion won't change much. Idk what the frame rate or resolution this game is. this game run and looks good to me on my 65 inch tv. Most levels look great and are quite detailed. the gameplay is old school. you can shoot, slow down time and dodge a bullet in slowmo. matrix style. if they had a demo available ii havent played through the entire game yet, but i've played enough and think my opinion won't change much. Call of Juarez: Gunslinger passed by me in the last generation, but I’m happy to say the Switch port is an excellent way to experience the series for the first time, and the addition of motion controls make it worth considering a return to the American Frontier.

Its frantic action and its story couldn't have aged better, something that doesn't stand out so much in the graphic section. Fans of the Wild West can play this game on Nintendo Switch to live one of the funniest experiences ever created.

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is an absolute diamond in the rough. The motion-comic cut-scenes get the job done, but are otherwise unimpressive to look at. The frame-rate can get really rocky when there are tons of lawmen about, firing rifles or revolvers from all over a town, as Silas darts from cover to cover. The overall concept and execution on the other hand is pure genius and fully takes advantage of the historical setting, flawlessly weaving it into the gameplay. John Cygan as Silas Greaves is an utter joy to listen to, as he gradually succumbs to a hilarious stupor. The arcade-like structure makes Gunslinger a natural fit for the Nintendo Switch's portable mode, so that chunks of the game are easily digested and completed while on the go.
