Aug 20, 2020Unlike the aesthetically-similar Ultra Foodmess, Boomerang Fu offers compelling gameplay that will make you want to return for more.
You can play locally with friends or up to 5 bots and rounds are frantically fun.
More game modes would be welcome but the two that are currently there, Free for all deathmatch and Golden Boomerang, are well executed and it's a very fun package for the price. -

Aug 27, 2020Simply fantastic. Boomerang Fu is a game with simple controls, but deep gameplay. Accessible to casual gamers and just as great for a more hardcore audience.
It’s a shame there haven’t been any reviews from critics, because this game could probably use the press. Honestly might be one of my favorite party games. -
Jun 15, 2022Great fun for a little price.

Apr 18, 2021Amazing if you have other people to play it with.
Only reason I don't give it a 10 is because it doesn't have an online mode. Hopefully the developer can update it later on or release a second game with multiplayer.
I got this game for free on amazon games but love it so much I bought it on the switch so my family and me could play on the tv. -
May 23, 2022Just a very good game overall. Fun, funny, and actually pretty skill testing, though forgiving enough that everyone can play together to have fun. Probably one of the best competitive Multiplayer games I have played. Reminds me a bit of Powerstone 2, and if that isn't praise, I don't know what is.

Apr 13, 2022Another great offline multi-player game that is fun for parties and can be played on a single non split TV screen, the Nintendo Switch certainly needs a LOT more of these...well good games anyway as many are rubbish! The game plays fast and smooth and is a pleasure to play. Another recommend purchase from me and well done to the developers.

Oct 12, 2021Add in a good number of different arenas as well as a solid mix of power-ups and you have a title that’s well worth trying out at your next games night. It’s just a shame there’s no online play.

Jul 2, 2021Boomerang Fu is a simple party game that won't bring much to solo players beyond its simple and intuitive gameplay. Local multiplayer is a completely different matter, though, as its absolutely chaotic sessions add a whole new layer of enjoyment for up to six players, which makes the lack of an online multiplayer component hard to understand. Those who can summon up to five other players and are looking for quick but intense experiences will find something worthy in Boomerang Fu.

Oct 8, 2020I really can’t recommend Boomerang Fu enough. At $14.99, it packs a lot of replay value and is one of the stand-out multiplayer games on the Switch. I’d put it up there with other great indie multiplayer co-op games like the Overcooked series and Moving Out (Check out our Overcooked review). If you’re looking for a great, local multiplayer title to play with some friends/family, definitely check out Boomerang Fu.
