    Pros: Interesting gameplay ( very much similar to Bayonetta but futuristic theme), Musics, custom-able character and Mar.. i mean Lappy!

    Es simplemente PERFECTO! Es sin duda alguna mi GOTY, tiene unos gráficos increíbles y corre mejor todavía, es mágico ver con la fluidez que se puede jugar. En cuestión de gráficos es de lo mejor que se puede ver en la consola, y en tema de música tiene un soundtrack hermoso. Platinum junto con Katsura hicieron todo bien!

    Es un buen juego, pero un Hack and Slash de este tipo innovador, debe tener un poco más de fluidez.

    The game is a masterpiece, I even go so far that I would like Astral Chain to be a contender for Game of the year.
    In the first two chapter, without the Legion, the combat feels kind of weird but when it get to chapter 3, oh boy, the combat was really good. The story ... it was amazing, from chapter 3 you will have a little heartbreak and the story just build up from then, it keep getting    The game is a masterpiece, I even go so far that I would like Astral Chain to be a contender for Game of the year.

    very fun combat...a lot of eye candy....i don't really mind the 30FPS when my eyes adjust to it. overall a very solid game. it deserves a 10 in my book. the story is also cool and above average..

    After finally finishing the game I found the game to have certain issues that most highly rated games should not have. Firstly, I believe the games most redeeming quality is its combat which should come to no surprise since it was developed by Platimum games; but its animation, voice acting, and story is pretty subpar. The faces of the main characters look off putting, the voice acting is pretty poorly done and takes some Tim to get used to, the story reminds me off some cheesy anime plot lines, and there are quite a few graphical glitches and frame drops when in combat with your legion. The out of combat gameplay within the world also posses its own problems with its bland side missions and graphical issues all of which aren't really saved by the combat when moving through the main storyline. Finally, the biggest issue from the game is its pacing, many say the game gets better as you move forward (which is undoubtedly tru for the combat aspect of it) but the rate at which you reach those points is quite slow. With games only real redeeming quality being its combat, the games other issues stands out heavily within its beginning and middle portions of the game and become tolerable when the game finally reaches its later portions. Overall, with the removal of all the review bombing (and right fully so its a pretty crappy thing to do) the perfect scores that were placed to counteract the review bombing are still there and are in my opinion over inflating its score. The game is fun yes, but it still holds a slew of problems that should be discussed and not dismissed solely because it's a Nintendo game that was review bombed.… Expand

    Purchased this game last Friday - it's fantastic! Very well done. Extremely happy to have this on the Switch. Don't be afraid to grab Astral Chain ASAP!

    this game is a must own for switch owner. the combat is sharp and responsive and very satisfying. i enjoyed this game more than i did bayonet-ta 1&2 but not as much as Nier automata because (Nier is an all-time favorite of mine) so that doesn't take away from it. the story is interesting and the characters are great and likeable .     Excellent game. Intuitive action play broken up by sections of great world building that give a nice change of pace. Really nice looking graphics (using the switch to the best of its abilities). More cats than expected. Bonus.

    I traded it in after playing for several hours. Exploration is a bore and using the astral chain is clunky. Rumor is it gets better but I want willing to put any more time into this game. Traded in within the first week. Buyer beware. Rating game too low because others are rating it too high. Visuals are great but gameplay is most important to me.

    It is not the best game i've ever tried even i think the people is
    exaggerating. But i need to be honest it's a good game, and i'm enjoying it, not as boring as Bayonetta or DMC5. Good for Platinum, Good for Nintendo and good for us.

    Having played through all the main story files on Pt Standard, I'm kinda dissapointed with the game. Visually stunning, the soundtrack is brilliant, but the gameplay feels pretty bad. Defensive options feel very limited, combos are dulled down in favour of the Legions and sync moves, many of which leave you wide open to damage.     The ranking system urks me most; unlike other platinum games where they employ the system, it seems to disregard usage of items and damage taken and encourages you to do as much as you can as quick as you can. On the last boss, which was a huge and frustrating difficulty spike from everything else in the game, I had to chug through all my healing items and revives and STILL got an S+ ranking despite feeling like I had just brute forced my way through without learning anything about the fight.

    The story is incredibly messy, and while I really don't care about it in actions games normally, the holes just really, really stood out to me. Character arcs feel unfulfilled, the backstory and lore feels very poorly explained, and the conclusion just doesn't make sense.

    I'll probably never play through it again, or finish the endgame cases for cosmetics, and it certainly wasn't worth the near £50 price tag. I hope Platinum steps up their game for whatever they make next. If you want a properly in-depth action game, pick up Devil May Cry 5 or Bayonetta 2 instead of this.    … Expand

    So far I love it..just 5 hours in but the combat is in depth..need to learn a lot more..my only worry is the replay value of the investigations....but overal it is a solid game
    As I progress the game just keeps getting better

    Astral chain is a master piece. Gamers who hate Nintendo and platinum........should remember that. You can dislike a good game, but that doesn't change the fact it is a good game.

    By far, one of the best games I've ever played! One of the most beautiful switch games, it's graphics are simply amazing. The fight system is very joyful and the game graphics cut scenes gives the player a deep immersion. Recommend for sure!

    Really like the gameplay. Played a few Platinum titles but this is by far the best i have played. If i was not a fan before, i am now. Would have preferred a console release bt thank god i have a Switch as well so i was able to play this great game.

Platinum games have made another hit that can proudly join the likes of bayonetta and Nier automata. The game looks beautiful, the soundtrack is excellent and the gameplay is addicting... once you figure out what you’re doing. For the first hour of the game, you kinda get this “is this it..?” Kinda mood as you’re just smashing a button while your legion (chimera partner) auto attacks. That all changes once you reach a point throughout the first chapter/file of the game and realize there’s so much you can do with your legion which only gets crazier once you add abilities and attacks as you level up each individual legion. Honestly, it felt overwhelming at times but once you get the hang of it, boy oh boy does this game get crazy good with stylish combos, dramatic acrobatics and cool looking explosions (and slow mo!).

    It’s not all action though. You play as a cop in an elite task force meaning you’re going to have to do some investigating. In between crazy fights, you’ll usually start off in a level where you can explore, gather clues, do side quests, and look for unlockables and items. I was impressed by the different types of side quests although most were doable in a couple of minutes. They aren’t just waste of times thought as the rewards are well worth completing them. I also am impressed on how they ended up using these action gameplay mechanics in more casual settings that some of these side quests take in. I would say this part of the game is not the best, but I’m not saying it’s bad. The investigating is fine, and for the most part, a good pallete cleanser. I just wish it was a bit more complex and used your deductions skills more. Usually all you have to do is get the most “key words” from side quests or speaking to npcs, and take a quiz to see if you can fill in the blank of what happens. I played the game in the platinum standard, one above the default difficulty, and honestly was a fair and challenging mode. The story of the game is simple and it’s not anything mind breaking. Some of the plot twists were predictable while others I wouldn’t have guessed. Although, it’s a plot that has been told again and again, I think what makes it better than just “all right” is the world building of this game. Everyone in your task force has a name and a unique design. They all have distinctive personalities and I found myself actually remembering their names when they were being referenced in game. Some are characters you can’t Help but love (Looking at you Marie)! Seriously, you end up wanting to save this world because of the characters and killing chimeras. But what I wanted to see more of was the villains motives. Again, we’ve seen the “oh wait he’s actually a crazy guy who thinks he’s doing good but just wants to erase humankind” plot here and there but it doesn’t go into too much detail as to why they really believe what they’re doing is right. I wish the villains were more fleshed out, even if they had to go through the whole “flashbacks” route.

    Over all, the Game is massive fun especially when you put everything you learn together to execute these flashy moves. There’s moments where the story gets super dramatic and then there’s comedic and cute moments. This game is definitely an anime game and while some of it’s elements are just good or passable, The world building, soundtrack, the gameplay, And the beautiful graphics really make this one a star. I’m so glad I purchased this game.

    P.S the game is 30 FPS but you rarely notice it. There were a couple of times where it looked choppy but nothing at all that hinges gameplay or makes it not fun. Also, the action gets crazy the last couple of files and if you’ve played nier automata or bayonetta then... you know what to expect.    … Expand

    Uno de los mejores juegos en su género, la mecánica contra los jefes de lo mas original, no se si sea mejor en total que Bayonetta 2 pero se codean al final quizás me decante por este, veremos pero un diez desde luego. PD Increible como 40 de los primeros 50 ratings fueron de gente que sin haberlo jugado le puso baja nota solo por hate a Nintendo.

    This game looks like a playable anime, the artistic direction is so beatiful, that feel a cyberpunk age and what to say about the gameplay it feels really nice when you take and push the buttons. Is a must buy for a Switch owner.

    -Humans on the verge on extinction but yet, city scales are huge, overflowing with human life. LOL! Didnt get the sense of urgency that Humans are really really gonna go extinct.
    -Platform levels are pointed out RGT 85's video on his channel.
    -Controls get clunky during a chaotic fight
    -Camera angle meh, at times it works but at times, the Legion eats the whole screen. Tight corridors really makes the Legion too much(Yes you can Make the Legion vanish but just a bit more roaming and you're back into fighting, just to recall the Legion back).
    -Legion AI can be stupid at times and not do what you'd want it to do but i guess that's just AI's being an AI.
    -BGMs aren't memorable compared to the likes of what Nier Automata had to offer.

    Estoy más que contento con este nuevo juego de Platinum Games y Nintendo, tanto el desarrollo de personajes, como la banda sonora y la jugabilidad se me hacen verdaderas obras maestras, un juego con un género adelantado a su época que no sólo se queda en el básico hack and slash sino además hace uso de mecánicas plataformeras y puzzles de detectives, los momentos en el plano astral meEstoy más que contento con este nuevo juego de Platinum Games y Nintendo, tanto el desarrollo de personajes, como la banda sonora y la jugabilidad se me hacen verdaderas obras maestras, un juego con un género adelantado a su época que no sólo se queda en el básico hack and slash sino además hace uso de mecánicas plataformeras y puzzles de detectives, los momentos en el plano astral me hicieron recordar algunos templos de BOTW, realmente este juego es una joya y compra obligada si tienes una switch.… Expand

    He de decir que no pensaba que el juego estuviera tan bueno, yo soy de jugar más en portátil y el juego se ve hermoso, gran atención al detalle desde el inicio empieza la acción, es muy gratificante ir acoplando se poco a poco al control del juego y la música es hermosa y hace que tengas una gran inmersión en el juego en definitiva gran trabajo de Platinum Games

    This is such a meh game, I can not understand the hype around it, It does not excels in anything, is pretty but no different from many other arts I've seen in other Japanese games, and that this level of graphics are running in 30 fps is just a shame.

    I highly suggest going outside and not coming back until you change your mind or come up with a better excuse. Listen; Sony is not your friend. Sony does not appreciate your loyalty. Sony does not reciprocate your feelings. Sony does not mind if you betray them, no matter what. Even if Sony could feel, they'd be utterly disgusted by your Knight Templaring. Sony is just a company that specializes in many things (not just games) represented by a logo that reads "SONY" in a fancy font. Sony cares about their millions -probably billions- of fans, but that's because they're their only source of income, not because they really do love them. They want to please them as much as they can to earn their money. The same can be said of all companies really; even Nintendo. Trying to review bomb the game now not only makes you look like fools, but it gives all companies involved a bad name.     Coming from someone who just bought a Switch a week before this launched and has not played a Platinum game, I actually can't express how much I've enjoyed this game. Even though some parts of the game really don't feel like they explained certain aspects later in the game, I still enjoyed everything of the game thus far.     excellent story and the game mode I loved in terms of graphics is fine is more how well I could improve the music of the game is very cool and enjoyable.

    La calidad de la jugabilidad es alta, para jugadores que de verdad quieran retos en cuestión de los controles.
    El apartado gráfico esta muy bien logrado y aprovecha al máximo los componentes de la Nintendo switch, me parece que aprovecharon muy bien el hardware.

    This game reminds me of the old days when games weren't a chore or just repetitive. This is more than a game it's an experience. Could've easily been an anime on it's own. Even at 30fps this game looks beautiful and is eye candy at every step of the way. Great catchy early 2000 soundtrack awesome story and easy yet complex gameplay. I played both this and DMC 5 and this is by far aThis game reminds me of the old days when games weren't a chore or just repetitive. This is more than a game it's an experience.     This game is fantastic. It's honestly like an 8 for me, but I have to give it a 10 because of all the butthurt fans review bombing it because they have nothing to play. PC/switch is the way to go.

    Update: review bombers have been spotted and handled so I'm giving the score a 9 because it's really like an 8.5 for me. Still more to play though

    A great game. Contains exploration, investigations, collectibles and a great combat system. The plataform parts may be a little boring, but not so many. A good gameplay duration.

    Me he terminado Astral Chain en unas 25-26 horas. Os comentaré mi experiencia:
    JUGABILIDAD 8
    Al principio es una mierda simplísima. Hasta las 10 horas es bastante meh la jugabilidad y los 30 fps no ayudan para nada. Si fuera a 60 fps la jugabilidad y el manejo de la legión (los bichos con cadenas) se haría mucho más ágil e intuitivo. Después de superar las 10 horas el gameplay mejora con    Me he terminado Astral Chain en unas 25-26 horas. Os comentaré mi experiencia:
    JUGABILIDAD 8
    Al principio es una mierda simplísima. Hasta las 10 horas es bastante meh la jugabilidad y los 30 fps no ayudan para nada. Si fuera a 60 fps la jugabilidad y el manejo de la legión (los bichos con cadenas) se haría mucho más ágil e intuitivo. Después de superar las 10 horas el gameplay mejora con todas las habilidades que has conseguido (si las quieres todas hay que farmear misiones, una cagada a mi parecer). Hay mecánicas de algunas legiones que usarás 4 veces contadas durante el juego. Los bosses han ido mejorando según avanzaba el juego y me han gustado mucho los bosses finales de la segunda mitad del juego. Pero nada de esto quita que al principio el juego se me ha hecho insufrible por lo monótono que resultaba todo.
    Las fases de infiltración son de lo peor del juego con diferencia por lo aburridas que resultan.
    La dificultad en normal es de chiste, no he muerto ni una sola vez en todo el juego porque puedes abusar muchas mecánicas que te da el juego para no morir.
    La personalización de tu avatar es muy limitada en cuanto a indumentaria se refiere (y los accesorios son feos de cojones).
    Al final, todo se centra en saber mover la cadena de tu legión cuando toca y qué combos lanzar en cada enemigo. Hablando de los combos, es difícil memorizarlos porque en lugar de combinaciones de botones tienes que mover el analógico y pulsar el gatillo.

    Al final, no puedo decir que el gameplay no me ha gustado porque hacer combos con las distintas legiones es divertido y algunos bosses son sencillamente brutales. ¿Es un mal juego? NO, EN ABSOLUTO. ¿Es una obra maestra? TAMPOCO, está un escalón por debajo de otro títulos como Nier Automata.

    Por último, se me ha hecho bastante incómodo jugar en portátil por los controles del juego ya que se corre apretando el gatillo (lo que sería el L3 en la PS4) y se me hace incómodo al no jugar con mando.

    HISTORIA 5
    Es esencia, la historia me ha parecido super cutre y genérica. Parece la típica historia creada por un adolescente con las hormonas por las nubes y que cree que las explosiones son lo mejor que ha parido la humanidad. En el segundo tramo del juego mejora bastante porque había margen de mejora pero ya os digo, una mierda predecible desde el minuto 1. No me ha gustado el trato que han dado a ciertos personajes del juego que desaparecen de la misma sin razón aparente.

    Un fallo muy grave que le he encontrado es que el personaje que controlamos no tiene voz, es un avatar sin personalidad ni carisma alguno. Sinceramente creo que sobraba tanta personalización del avatar en este juego porque al final ni me he fijado en mi avatar mientras jugaba porque el juego intenta hacer que la historia te interese y a mi por lo menos no ha sido así. Si hubiera habido diálogos pues a lo mejor otro gallo cantaría.

    Además el reciclaje de escenarios es abusivo porque he llegado a visitar las mismas zonas hasta 3 veces en menos de 25 horas. Hay algunas zonas mejores que otras lógicamente por la narrativa.

    Conclusión, no esperes un Nier Automata o que se te caigan los huevos al suelo porque todo lo ves venir.

    SONIDO 8
    Hasta la mitad del juego la banda sonora me ha parecido pasable, aceptable; nada que ver con Nier Automata que es un orgasmo auditivo constantemente. Con esto quiero decir que las canciones buenas de verdad las puedes contar con los dedos de la mano. Por otro lado, los efectos de sonido son bastante buenos.

    GRÁFICOS 6
    Me han decepcionado bastante. Esperaba muchos mejores gráficos. Me ha recordado a los juegos de Telltale Games por lo raro que se veían los personajes. Las legiones se ven bastante bien eso si. No se ve mal en absoluto pero esperaba mucho más después de todo el hype que rodeaba el juego. En portátil tiene un bajón de calidad que se aprecia fácilmente. Los 720p y los 30 fps lastran la experiencia que podría haber brindado los 60 fps que he reiterado que le hacen falta en mi mini análisis. El diseño artístico es bueno, aunque reciclan diseños de jefes con un reskin de color en muchas ocasiones.

    NOTA FINAL: 6.75 ≈ 7

    A Nier Automata por ejemplo le daría un 9,5 para que comparéis y veáis mi vara de medir. Si me he dejado algo preguntádmelo y os lo contaré en base a mi experiencia.    … Expand

    A stunningly beautiful and captivating game. Engaging missions with a variety of different tasks, from the serious to the whimsical. Easy to learn and difficult to master combat with lots of customisation. My single gripe is that you can only manually save in one area, however auto saves are in an abundance so this isn’t too bad.

    This game has by far exceeded my expectations!!!! Bayonetta is a wonderful action game series, but I'd be lying if I said that this wasn't Platinum Games best game EVER hands down!!!! It's a very challenging game if you choose a difficulty level that is right for you. The game does a great job of introducing you into the game play mechanics. And speaking of game play mechanics, PlatinumThis game has by far exceeded my expectations!!!! Bayonetta is a wonderful action game series, but I'd be lying if I said that this wasn't Platinum Games best game EVER hands down!!!! It's a very challenging game if you choose a difficulty level that is right for you. The game does a great job of introducing you into the game play mechanics. Beautiful graphics, steady frame rate and great soundtrack, not to mention the gameplay, crafted to perfection from years of Platinum's experience with action combat systems. It's pretty amazing that this runs on Switch, let alone being an exclusive, which never hurts! Absolutely reccomended. If you're inOne of the best action games from Platinum and definitely my favorite since Automata. El juego se mueve muy bien en el dock y se nota que han cuidado los detalles cuando se pasa al modo consola. Desde el comienzo de la historia, ya se vislumbra una excelente trama y se empieza con mucha voragine y velocidad. Los controles al principio es un poco engorroso manejarlos,Platinium game lo ha hecho. Ha logrado exprimir a full la consola Nintendo Switch con este pedazo de juego. El juego se mueve muy bien en el dock y se nota que han cuidado los detalles cuando se pasa al modo consola.     It´s a great story, more mature than others from Nintendo, the game play it´s a really good new way, the controls are fluid, the characters are amazing, the graphics are regular but the game it´s really, really good.

    I don't frequently replay games right away, but this one I jumped right back in. The NG+ options are excellent. If you like TRPGs, JRPGs, any Fire Emblem games, or just... good games, you will likely love this one.
