Jun 15, 2020I just bought it, and I let my brother start the game, and it turns out that with my account I can't get the progress of the game to advance, when it's my Nintendo Switch. Terrible decision that there is a single spokesperson for the island.
I am disappointed in the game, since in that case they would have better allowed one island per profile. -

Jun 20, 2020My boyfriend and I got a switch JUST to play this game together.
But hey, whats the point if only one player can truly enjoy it?! Second player cant do anything or make any decisions. The second player is basically a glorified NPC. This needs to be fixed. It feels like a f***ing scam tbh. -

Jun 21, 2020Fix your damn game and suppress the console limitation, thanks. This is unacceptable.
-
Jun 22, 2020The fact that only one island per Switch is allowed is completely ridiculous. It's a cash grab. Awful.

Jun 26, 2020As a family we have to share an island or buy another Switch. No thanks Nintendo. Brainwashed fanboy/girls will throw their money at Nintendo without a thought. Not this family.

Jun 29, 2020I'm a long time fan of the franchise and made the mistake of letting my wife play it first on the Switch, because I wanted to introduce her to the game in hopes she would like it. This was before i realized there ould only be 1 island per device. Now I can't even play the game that I'm am the original fan of.

Jul 3, 2020It's great for hanging out. If you're looking for a game where you accomplish certain goals and then your done, then probably you won't like Animal Crossing. This game is to enjoy the little details, relax and hang out. You can spend several hours just watching your villagers, fishing, building, decorating and re building your island without any defined goal

Jul 6, 2020You need to buy 1 Nintendo swicht + 1 game per family member + 1 online sub to be able to each play the story. This game, and nintendo globally is a shame.
I'm done with nintendo, you will never have 1$ from me anymore. -
Jul 9, 2020Only 1 island per console- even if you have separate profiles, nope! Only 1 island. They expect you to buy another Switch for each additional island. What if you have a family and everyone just wants to enjoy the game? Unbelievable.

Jul 17, 2020I really don't like this game, it takes too much time to play(farming).
Only the first few hours were fun. :( -

Mar 24, 2020This is not a multiplayer game. It will likely become one when Nintendo figures out how to charge people another $60 for the functionality.

Mar 27, 2020Appalling money-grab from Nintendo in that only one island can be made PER SWITCH. This means if you want to fully experience the game, you must buy another switch console. This is ridiculous and I have never played a game that does not allow for more than one save file on the same console. Nintendo must fix this, as it is transparent that this design choice was greed-driven.

Dec 19, 2020Animal Crossing New Horizons is basically perfect. Full of wholesome content that helped us cope with the COVID-19 pandemics, the game keeps the heart of its predecessors while innovating enough to make it unique. It may not have won Game of the Year but it'll be the game we all remember from 2020, for sure.

Jun 22, 2020Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a stunning new instalment in the Animal Crossing franchise, hindered only by its lack of immediate content, quality of life issues and missing returning characters and features While future updates will give the game long-term playability, for those already sipping vacation juice on their five-star islands, island life feels pretty mundane right now.

CD-ActionMay 12, 2020It’s full of detail, pretty small things, and surprisingly well working simulations and systems – everything polished in such a way that the player really does care about everything that’s going on. [06/2020, p.40]
