    I always wanted to play Animal Crossing and this was my first one. I instantly fell in love with New Horizons with it's wonderfully calming music, satisfying gameplay loop, lovable NPCs and the detailed decorating options you have. Overall, I love this game and would recommend it if you like slow games.

    When lockdown first started I was looking for something to play and everyone was playing this. I was 32 and thought it wasn’t for me but I gave it a go and 250 hours later I can definitely say I’m a fan of this franchise now. I love the creativity it affords you. I love sport so I made a soccer field and a sports store with custom jerseys. I visited other people to get all the fruit. IWhen lockdown first started I was looking for something to play and everyone was playing this.     The game is just boring, after the opening there is nothing to do, go around the island again and again and pick fruits. The building option doesn't add much, building anything requires a lot of materials and adds nothing to the game except some other piece of furniture, there are no fun activities to do.     A very short story. After passing it, I don't want to go into the game, there is no motivation. I don't see any point in playing for the sake of arranging the island and buying new things for the interior. This is for those who do not save their time.

    I haven't really played this game in quite some time. It really got me through parts of 2020, being a very relaxing town-building/decorating game. Visiting other people's islands is a nice feature and I have a lot of great memories because of it, but it would be foolish to say the online is good. The lack of updates has been disappointing for someone who really liked filling out the museum with fish, art, insects, and fossils. Design features for the museum and additional artifacts to collect would definitely bring me back, but it seems they have no interest. If you enjoy a slow-paced relaxing experience with plenty of design options this game is definitely for you though. I had a lot of fun with this and the free DLC through switch online is actually pretty great if you like decorating.

    Negative points for the single island "feature" though. It's still a baffling decision, like why not allow accounts the option to choose between joining an old island and making a new one?    … Expand

    I will say that this game was very fun during covid and super refreshing. However when they quickly decided to stop updating after a year and re release the same updates every season thats when I quickly began to realize that nintendo did not care about this game as much as we did.

    It's a fun game, see the island evolving, chat with characters and etc. The problem is that you have to wait long times to get better in the game, also, you get borred some time, so, don't get ACNH as your 1st game, but if you alredy have a game, buy it if it's ok to you wait 2 days to a in-game thing get done (sometimes) buy it.

    the game is awesome, tbh the people who rate it low are trolls or people who don't like the progression system, if you don't like being unable to grind, don't buy a 60$ game where your limited to a few hours a day. This game is very good, and has a peaceful feel that I enjoy, the only flaw is its limits to grinding, but again, if you like grinding, then don't buy it, it ain't for you

    Every interaction, every character, every element of this game was thought out and made with the most adorable choice possible. My partner commandeered my island and has more hours in this game than any game I have ever played. Because of that unique experience, it is a top 10-15 game of all time for me.

Además, la hora del juego se ajusta a la de la realidad, algo que puede ser bueno, par dividir las horas entre distintos días, o malo, ya que te "obliga" a conectarte para obtener los beneficios de cada día. Entre otras cosas malas está el hecho de que a algunas personas se les puede hacer repetitivo, la escasez de diálogos e interacciones con los vecinos y la falta de nuevo contenido de anteriores ediciones de Animal Crossing.     This is a great game, but it's killed in the late game where there's not really much to do. This game could've benefitted from having more content. The game basically died off because there wasn't enough to do. It's a very fun and addicting game, so it's easy to reach a point where there's no goals besides your personal goals and once you reach those, the game is basically over for you.

    The villagers feel so soulless. There is just nothing story-wise to do. A lot of content from older titles is just gone. It can feel like a cozy home sometimes, but I feel isolated on this island in the middle of nowhere.

    The game offers the player freedom. Now, this is a good thing. The problem is that this game offers the player TOO MUCH freedom. You shouldn't be able to modify your villagers house, you shouldn't be able to place whatever furniture you feel like. The game should be called Animal Crossing: New Utopia, because you basically just create whatever island you feel like. Mix it with the ridiculously low amount of content compared to NL, lame updates and you've got the recipe for a disaster. I cannot manage to place it below a 6 because I've still enjoyed the game, and the first few weeks are great. But after that, it just becomes what I've stated before. And it is kinda sad, because it had the potential to be the best AC game yet.    … Expand

    It's great to create your island, gather more neighbors, get all kinds of fish bugs etc.

    The worst thing about the game is the online issue, it has loading times and waiting for a game that is not from this century. It should be more worked apart from the fact that it is missing a lot of content and things from previous installments

    I still recommend it

Et aussi le multi-bobos, car sur Switch, le public est surtout bobo-casual. Viens visiter mon île ? mais je m’en fous de ton île en fait. T’as cueilli combien de pommes ? attrapé des papillons ? si t’as favriqué le machin pour les attraper…

    Ou t’as pêché de la poiscaille peut-être… si encore ils expliquaient ces cons-là comment qu’on fait… parce que là, c’est ‘démerde-toi’. C’est un peu trop souvent mal fait ou peu ou pas expliqué. Comment virer cette musique de merde, par exemple ? bah tu peux pas ! Mais de toute manière, on se lasse très vite de cette connerie de petit jeu à la con : plus répétitif, tu meurs !    … Expand

    While the game itself is great, really relaxing and gorgeous,
    But it sucks that you can only have 1 island per console. I spent so many hours on my island and the game was fun but now I have nothing to do because I don't want to reset my 140 hour island and they don't update at all anymore. I wish I could make a second island and enjoy the game again.

    It is a Phenomenal game in 2020 during the pandemic. I don't suggest anyone play it now and I also don't think any other similar game will achieve similar outcomes.

    I don't know why there are so many negative reviews of this. It's really fun. It gets a little boring once your island gets to 3 stars, but it's still a 9 for me.

    Oh my god... What can I even say... 2020's Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a game that is very different from its predecessors. To make an analogy: If the old games were like pizza, this is a calzone. There are similarities, but they are still very distinct from each other. But this analogy falls apart in one area: calzones are still made by Francis Ford Coppola, BUT THIS GAME IS NOT!

    New Horizons is a beautiful game, and came out at a time where people needed a place to find comfort in. This game is filled to the brim with personality! The gameplay is relaxing and addicting, the characters are fun and goofy, and decorating your house is a lovely way to pass time!

    The memories this game and I share are some of the best gaming memories I've ever had, period. I can never truly dismis this game for that alone, and I still enjoy hoping back on it from time to time with friends online. Truly one of the best animal crossing games, not as good as new leaf, but still a good time.

    Very fun game to chill on if you can keep up with it. Once you leave it for a long while it can be daunting to tidy everything back up. Getting villagers you want can also be a hassle but the pure customization of your island is phenomenal.

I think Nintendo ruined the game i bought it for 65 euros and its not worth the price honestly i overhyped the game it can get boring really quickly i had it over for 2 months and my island looks like crap. And the other problem is lack of content that is mostly the reason the game is boring and you need to build the villagers house and takes a lot of time of farming materials.I literally have to force my self to play the game because its been sitting in my case for 2 months. Sooo final conclusion the game problems

    I did not think that the newest animal crossing game would be so fun, relaxing AND groundbreaking! This game is one of the games that made 2020 (the covid-19 pandemic) fun. This should be 100% a must buy for the Nintendo switch.

    I'm late to play this game, such a great gaming experience I've been enjoying so much. Its a slow and steady game to build up friendship and township with the others. Sometimes I'm tired off playing stressful games, and ACNH is the perfect platform for me to destress from my works

    Animal Crossing is what makes Nintendo unique and delivers something that is virtually infinite. I have 900 hours and notes given by Haters who Only have Xbox and never played it are useless.

    Literally a wonderful, welcoming game without that disgusting slaughter of current franchises.

    After hearing the praises of this game, I caved in and bought it and well I thought it was alright, The art style is clean and the characters are fun but I personally didn't click as well as others but meeting with friends for holiday events was all I could've asked for.

    After more than 200 hours I can safely say that New Horizons, my first Animal Crossing game, has made me a fan of the franchise and I couldn’t be happier with how this entry turned out on Switch. Gorgeous visuals, smooth performance and an addicting gameplay loop make this a stellar game and one of the very best Switch titles to date. Highly recommended.

    10/10 game, i adore it, i get to be creative in a whole new way, its just such a calming and feel good game. i have 1500+ hours in it and i intent to keep playing!

    When I first got this game back in March 2020, I got super addicted to this game! Really fun and if you have a switch, I recommend getting it! Especially if you haven't tried animal crossing games before, as if you get bored (you will see why I said that in a sec), you might be motivated to try the other animal crossing games! However, I started to get bord of playing after completing my island. And by that, I meant I didn't play it as much as before. I still played it really activly due to the active updates. (And I'm sure you see where this is going.) about a month or so after they released the 2.0 update aka the final update, I got bord and had nothing to modivate me to play it. Once that happend, I started playing new leaf (the previous animal crossing game) on my 3DS, and enjoyed that a lot more then new horizons (after the final update). Another pro to the 3DS version, is that you can buy more save files, aka, buy more animal crossing carts (as on 3DS, games you bought on retail have the save data stored on the cart, while new horizons the save data is stored on the system either way, I think), so that means, one save file per cart. You may wonder "why don't you just delete your save data?" Well, if you do that, shortly after, you will relize the mistake you made, and will get nostolgic for your oid town (in acnl its towns, not islands), so its worth the extra money. I'm going to stop now, because its becoming more of an acnl review more than an acnh review.

    Conclusion: It was fun while it lasted, but I prefer new leaf right now.    … Expand

    Addicting, fun, and clever. It has a wide array of options to do and can create your island in many amazing ways, The only issue, that hinders the experience, is ONE ISLAND PER SWITCH. Want a new island? You got to delete it and save it for the dream address.

    It's nice and fun the first few hours, when you spend more than 10/15 hours depending on the rhythm it becomes repetitive and boring (in my case obviously). There comes a point where the only thing you can do every day is go in, take the fruits and go out, on the fifth day you stop going in.     Весь геймплей это гринд - руби деревья, собирай всякое добро с пляжа или в лесу, сажай огород, и рыбачь. Кроме того из-за невозможности вращать камерой многие объекты в игре невозможно разглядеть ( в том же stardew valley деревья становятся прозрачными когда ты заходишь за них), что вызывает невозможность нормально с ними взаимодействовать.
    В игре большое количство одежды и предметов для кастемизации своих поселений и это радует, но рутина которой приходится заниматься ради их получения просто выжигает тебя.

    A very addicting game when you're doing the 100% grind and logging on every day, but the minute you take a step back and realize how pointless the things you're doing and how long it will take you, it becomes pretty disheartening. A cute game, but plenty of games are cute. Animal Crossing is just a time sink, plain and simple.

    It’s an amazing game, one of my favorite switch games, and it is a wonderful experience, however if you have an older console most of the other animal crossing games are better, however if you have a switch this should be one of the first 10 games you get.

    Me parece que gráficamente se ve genial.

    The first Animal Crossing game I've ever played. At first this series didn't interest me, but I decided to give it a try during the pandemic and I'm glad I did. The gameplay loop is really relaxing and easy. I found the game to appear deceptively simple, until you learn about all the available mechanics and how you can utilize them to build your island and progress further. Even with this, New Leaf offered many more shops and a greater sense of progression with time, whereas New Horizons's town feels stale and empty with only a couple of shops and almost no upgrades. Compounding this problem are villagers, offering an embarassingly low amount of lines of dialogue that start repeating themselves after mere weeks. Furthermore, their personalities have been simplified and infantilized, leaving most interactions feeling artificial. The new crafting mechanic tries to add some flavor to the acquiring of items and furniture through resource management, but its great potential isn't explored nearly enough as it ends up being more of an annoyance, with tools breaking too often. With all these downgrades, uncertain new mechanics and the usual repetitive nature of Animal Crossing's core activities, New Horizons ends up being little more than a visually pleasing but hollow display of aesthetics and virtual possessions.    … Expand

    I love the game it is extremely relaxing and fun! Can be quite hard to find items but trading sites like nookazon make it easy! It can be a wee hit grindy tho! But thats fine cuz in quartine it helped pass the time!

    Con New Horizons nos encontramos con un Animal Crossing cuidado a escala milimétrica. Es un juego muy recomendado no solo para los fans de la saga, si no también para los amantes del mundo Nintendo.

    I feel like Nintendo tanked this game quicker than it needed to with the terrible seasonal updates and whatnot. They got lazy and lowkey straight-up lied and falsely advertised the longevity of this game in terms of 'new' content. The "one island per Switch" thing is also pure garbage.     I've been playing this game for 2 years now. I think it's a good game, and you'll have fun playing it the first months . You can customize your island the way you like and I love that, and the game is visually fantastic. However, I don't like the lack of especial events and activities in New Horizons. In my opinion, It was funnier to play with friends in New Life, because it had the IslandI've been playing this game for 2 years now. Nintendo has put a LOT of work into Animal Crossing: New Horizons and the amount of thought and detail put into the game is truly amazing, it's very highly polished and, totally bug free (coding wise lol), and looks incredible on the Switch OLED screen.This game looks a bit cute for adults to play like most Nintendo games, however the gameplay is totally awesome and extremely addictive! While you will no doubt find yourself pulled into this experience for 100 hours or so, at the end, you may feel it shallow.     It's frustrating how this is simultaneously the best entry in the series while still lacking a ton of features that made the others so great. I can say I've sunk over 400 hours into New Horizons alone, which is far more than what can be said for any in the series since the original. New Leaf is cool, but can you play it on a TV? Nope.

    Considering the amount of time that I've spent in this one, it deserve the score. At the beginning looks like a very stupid game, and indeed it is, however, then it became so additive. Maybe, some mechanics needs to be improved, but it is still pretty fun

    It's fine. It misses out on a lot of the charm the earlier games in the series had. The earlier games felt like "here is a world, you are any average resident", while this one is completely centered around you. The fun of Animal Crossing is firing it up and finding out what's happening today, while in this one, nothing happens unless you make it happen.

I really wish I knew this before I purchased. This is a very underhanded business tactic and it really makes me apprehensive to buy other games from Nintendo.     Animal Crossing New Horizons is basically perfect. Full of wholesome content that helped us cope with the COVID-19 pandemics, the game keeps the heart of its predecessors while innovating enough to make it unique. It may not have won Game of the Year but it'll be the game we all remember from 2020, for sure.
