To be fair I haven’t finished the game. That said, this game is amazing in graphics, inventory, leveling up and most importantly gameplay. This is a great game to get into is you’re not a castlevania or dark souls player. I like both but this type of game is exactly what I’m looking for. Hard but fair combat. Don’t miss out on a true Nintendo switch gem of a game.

If you like metroidvania or souls-like, you will love 3000th duel.
It's perfect blend of metroidvania and souls-like.

The first impression made me think of Salt & Sanctuary. Because it's 2D Dark Souls.
But classical game-style bosses are the charm of this game.
The tempo of the battle is fast and not stuffy.

I did not get into this game before the wise ones dlc, so now I had the pleasure of experiencing this hidden and underrated masterpiece in its full form. Performance is amazing on Switch and the game is so well crafted in every aspect.

Having completed the main game and DLC together in 50 hours, I'm ready to share my impressions. 3000th Duel definitely deserves more player interest than it does right now. The level design is interesting, not boring, diluted with good puzzles and metroidvania elements. The enemies are varied and balanced. The icing on the cake is the boss fights - they are great. Separately, it is worth noting the excellent fantasy ambient. Thanks to the developers for this wonderful game. Expand

3000th Duel is an amazing action-adventure game that pulls out all the stops to give us the experience of nostalgic gameplay with current videogame nuances. With a rich world to explore, visuals and audio hints that make you believe that the world is constantly evolving, and boss battles that shake you to the core, this is a must on the Switch.

3,000th Duel doesn’t do a lot new for the Souls-like Metroidvania hybrid genre, but its satisfying combat and various customisation options make for an enjoyable experience which makes up for a lot of its familiarity.

3000th Duel is a great play through and truly a hidden gem on the Switch. The more time I put into it, the more I enjoyed it. Despite my one small complaint, I enjoyed seeing what I would discover next. Metroidvania fans should certainly give this game a playthrough.
