Feb 28, 2020A "not even bad" addition to the souls-inspired metroidvania. Most of the issues stem from feeling unrefined - like ores, not manners - most obvious in the awkward HUD, staid combat, and derivative story. It's noticeable when side-by-side with Hollow Knight or Blasphemous. But if you're hungry for the genre, you can do worse.

Feb 22, 2020To be fair I haven’t finished the game. That said, this game is amazing in graphics, inventory, leveling up and most importantly gameplay. This is a great game to get into is you’re not a castlevania or dark souls player. I like both but this type of game is exactly what I’m looking for. Hard but fair combat. Don’t miss out on a true Nintendo switch gem of a game.

Feb 27, 2020If you like metroidvania or souls-like, you will love 3000th duel.
It's perfect blend of metroidvania and souls-like. -
Mar 17, 2020The first impression made me think of Salt & Sanctuary. Because it's 2D Dark Souls.
But classical game-style bosses are the charm of this game.
The tempo of the battle is fast and not stuffy. -
Mar 21, 2021I did not get into this game before the wise ones dlc, so now I had the pleasure of experiencing this hidden and underrated masterpiece in its full form. Performance is amazing on Switch and the game is so well crafted in every aspect.

Jun 9, 20203000th Duel is an amazing action-adventure game that pulls out all the stops to give us the experience of nostalgic gameplay with current videogame nuances. With a rich world to explore, visuals and audio hints that make you believe that the world is constantly evolving, and boss battles that shake you to the core, this is a must on the Switch.

May 5, 20203,000th Duel doesn’t do a lot new for the Souls-like Metroidvania hybrid genre, but its satisfying combat and various customisation options make for an enjoyable experience which makes up for a lot of its familiarity.

Mar 27, 20203000th Duel is a great play through and truly a hidden gem on the Switch. The more time I put into it, the more I enjoyed it. Despite my one small complaint, I enjoyed seeing what I would discover next. Metroidvania fans should certainly give this game a playthrough.
