    There’s a lot of fun be had here, a great challenge for those looking for a new retro-style platformer like this to take on, but 20XX never truly finds that “retro” charm. Instead, it’s a new idea pretending to be a retro experience, and the more astute players out there will be able to sniff it right out.

    20XX is a capable roguelike version of Mega Man X. If you're a fan of 2D action games then it's definitely worth checking out as long as you don't expect it to be a revolutionary take on either genre.

    Despite its inconsistent level make-ups and underwhelming boss designs, 20XX is still an engrossing side-scroller that perfects the feeling of navigating dangerous, pitfall and enemy-filled stages.

    20XX offers a quick dose of Mega Man inspired gameplay that doesn’t disappoint in the slightest. The controls were clearly refined to be authentic and tight. What the game does lack, however, is content to come back to after mastering the quick 20XX runs.

    This game doesn't get enough respect. The soundtrack is easily the best 8 bit soundtrack in existence. If you don't believe me feel free toThis game doesn't get enough respect. The game can be challenging at first, but if you put in the time to learn the mechanics and conquer the learning curve, you will be having so much fun you get fired from your job cuz you decided to stay up all night on a bender playing this game..! speaking for a friend of course.… Full Review »

There is barely any progression in 20xx. When I bought a couple of upgrades, I can't even buy anymore because the does give me enough soul chips.(which is the currency for permanent upgrades.) All of my currents runs feel useless. The level design is terrible. I know that it is randomly generated. I always die near the end of the run because the game gets really unfair. Enemys shooting in every direction, Lasers everywhere, platforms moving like crazy. One time when i left the glory zone(bonus room) the enemy's projectiles was already out and i died. Wtf? I didn't even get to move. This the first game in a long time where i regret buying in just a few days. It sucks beacause were poor and i can not buy games left and right. Save your money. There are better games that deserve your money. I wish i could get a refund.… Full Review »
