Elder Scrolls Online is an MMORPG set in the Elder Scrolls universe about 1,000 years before Skyrim. I’ve seen how fun the social aspect ofElder Scrolls Online is an MMORPG set in the Elder Scrolls universe about 1,000 years before Skyrim. I’ve seen how fun the social aspect of these kinds of games are for players of other games like World of Warcraft, and I love the universe, so I figured I’d give it a try. Truthfully, there is a lot going on. Having only been exposed to Skyrim, the first time I booted up the game, I played for an hour before putting it down for months. Recently, I picked it back up to give it another chance, and I’ve really enjoyed it. The graphics are good, there’s plenty of content available. It’s fun to go through dungeons with others, and whether I’m playing on my own or with others, the level system doesn’t get in the way because the enemies scale to each individual player, so you can play with others of vastly different levels without having the higher-level player carry the team. Overall, ESO is a great game for those looking to get ack into the world of Elder Scrolls in a game with hundreds of hours of content. The greatest negative to myself would be the level of complexity and how long it takes to understand everything that’s going on crafting-wise, but many players will find that all the more intriguing. Definitely worth playing. Full Review »

ESO isn't quite my personal thing (the Elder scrolls games for some reason don't quite do it for me) but overall the game is great.ESO isn't quite my personal thing (the Elder scrolls games for some reason don't quite do it for me) but overall the game is great.

Graphics are great, the amount of content is great. The ability to play solo and have a good time is great. The recognizable Elder Scrolls locations and unique gameplay features.

Stadia, honestly is probably the best place to play the game, no joke, seriously. I became addicted to the game for a good long while because of Stadia. Whenever I was not doing something in my life I'd pull out my phone, do some dailies(crafting, quests, etc) in ESO. Heck played the game on the porcelain throne as much as I played off it.

Then there's the thing you don't really think about. The whole game UI adapts seamlessly on the fly based on whether you're using mouse and keyboard or gamepad like the stadia controller.

Game visually looks great. I also love that as you progress in the game your version of the way the world looks is different for you than other players. That said that only happens in one area I know of.

Anyways. I actually attribute my liking the game as much as I did and playing as long as I did to Stadia almost more than the game itself. It was too easy to pick up and play. There was no waiting for updates. The game has cross-play with PC. it's really a great experience.

It really proved out to me that MMO's are where cloud gaming is going to really shine.
