Outcasters is an outrageously fun Stadia exclusive with an innovative shot mechanic and wacky graphics. If you can get a party for four together, it’s an amazing time, but even playing solo with online randoms is a great treat too.

Outcasters is fun, fast, and easy to pick up. A shot-curving mechanic pushes the gameplay in interesting directions, allowing for unexpected levels of strategy. Though the number of modes is currently limited, the modes that are included are quite fun - and there is always room for expansion. The character collection aspect of the game is surprisingly deep and addictive.

Outcasters is truly a unique experience. For Stadia, it's no doubt a huge win. Splash Damage did an incredible job of homing in on the essence of what makes a great multiplayer experience – and the result is Outcasters. Curving bullets is a blast, every battlefield is blessed with adorable graphics, and the unlockable cosmetics and abilities give you plenty of reasons to keep coming back. I'm hopeful that Outcasters will eventually land on other platforms. Otherwise, it may not get the attention it truly deserves.

Outcasters isn't the stellar killer-app that Stadia so deparately needs, but it offers enough to pad out the Pro subscription for Google's cloud gaming service just a little bit further. It's an extremely fun game that delivers on the promise of being easy to pick up and play but difficult to master.

Ultimately, Outcasters mostly seems ready to settle into its niche that it’s created. It’s not designed to be the killer app that reels in a mass of new players, but it should attract some. Better yet, since it launched directly into Stadia Pro, it’s there on day one for the folks who are already the most committed. For a platform trying to find its footing in a crowded, competitive space, solidifying the publisher-player relationship is crucial. There will be bigger, flashier, and likely better games to come from Stadia Games and Entertainment in the years ahead, but for now, those already playing via Google’s tangerine-tinted cloud will find they have their first example of a fun, albeit flawed, multiplayer game they won’t find anywhere else.

Outcasters is a very fun multiplayer game that lacks content.

Die Steuerung ist einfach zu kompliziert. Die hätten sich eher an Brawlstars orientieren sollen.

You would think that aOutcasters is a fast paced multiplayer, twin sticks game that allows you to go against your friends or random people. You would think that a game like this wouldn’t thrive on the Stadia platform due to some of the issues the platform has had in the past but I’m happy to say that this is far from reality. With the fast growth of Stadia, the multiplayer seems to be thriving as well. Never once did I have issues to find a lobby to play making it really easy to jump in and out of games. When it comes to the actual gameplay, I can honestly say that this game is an absolute joy to play. You play as a customizable caster with a variety of objectives, depending of the mode you’re in. For example, if you’re playing in “Last Caster Standing,” The objective is to simply take out all the other players on the map similar to a Battle Royal type game. Or if you’re in the “Gold rush” mode, then the objective is to collect and bank coins and the first team to 50 wins. There are 3 modes in total and all equally fun to play. With 12 hours under my belt, I never once experienced fatigue in the frantic style of playing that the game introduces. Outcasters is reasonably priced too coming in at $20 or alternatively free with a Stadia Pro subscription at the time of writing this. Full Review »
