Crayta is a remarkable game-creation game/tool, with just enough fun structure built around it to keep the proceedings light and fun. Crayta is built to appeal to builders of all skill levels, providing simple controller-based construction for newcomers, while allowing skilled users to dig right down into code. While a few starter games are provided by Unit 2, they aren't really the point. Time will tell what the community builds out of Crayta, but the tools are certainly there for this platform to spawn some amazing things.

Crayta is yet another game that serves as a platform for user-created content. Despite the competition, it still manages to stand out and not just because the game is on Google Stadia. With its focus on multiplayer experiences and experimental design, this could become a fantastic library of titles once the community starts generating its own products.

Not as rich and stylish as the competition, but an entertaining construction kit for straightforward online games.

Crayta offers a wide range of tools for players to build their own games, and the collaborative spirit of it all is second to none, but the end results are not nearly as fun as the journey.

Time will tell if Crayta makes an impact on its intended audience, but I sincerely hope it succeeds, because it’s definitely one of the best creative games on the market.

However what makes it more entertaining is the fact that you can customize your character, level up and earn perks. You can explore public world's or create your own. The game is limitless with a lot of potential to keep you busy and hooked. Since it's debut yesterday, I've played a handful of games, got myself leveled up to 16 with no signs of stopping. I was not expecting to enjoy this game considering I'm in my 30s and saw Roblox, Fortnite and Minecraft games for a younger audience. They've really made this game appeal to all audiences. And it just works. The player base so far has been pretty massive and even with that, I've never experienced any lag or input delay. This game has potential and I hope it continues to grow. Expand

It's very similar to other game creation tools like Gary's Mod and Roblox, but what sets it apart is its exceptional ease of use. Worlds are created from voxels which, of course, might put some people off. However it's a worthy trade off when you realise how easily people can create their stuff. Everyone who ever played Minecraft can be a level designer in Crayta.

On the other end of the game development skill spectrum it features a full Lua code editor in-game. If you ever worked with Unity 3D you'll feel right at home in Crayta's advanced mode. You can truly make some very advanced games in this.

It's the first game to feature Stadia's State Share feature, which means you can get people to play your creations just by having them click a single link.

Unit 2 Games are in this for the long run. On the Crayta Developer Portal you can vote on which new features you'd like them to work on first. They also hinted they are already working on several features like Asset importing, vehicles and NPCs. It will be very interesting to see how much this product grows in the coming years.

I am all in for the mission statement, though it is not my cup of tea. Love the developer support behind the game, for sure.

has potential, but the art style doesn't work for most games, and the weapon mechanics kinda suck.

This limits the access to the options unless you use a pc you can't even for example change from day to night!!! As with all stadia software the experience is typically empty with hardly anyone in the game hubs. It's a terrible shame that stadias user base just inst big enough to make this work as a concept. To complex and offers very little in creations. No story mode and the graphics are awful. Just a really bad game. I do not recommend playing this
