Crayta is a game creation system that comes free with Stadia Pro. It's very similar to other game creation tools like Gary's Mod and Roblox, but what sets it apart is its exceptional ease of use. Worlds are created from voxels which, of course, might put some people off. However it's a worthy trade off when you realise how easily people can create their stuff. Everyone who ever played Minecraft can be a level designer in Crayta.

On the other end of the game development skill spectrum it features a full Lua code editor in-game. If you ever worked with Unity 3D you'll feel right at home in Crayta's advanced mode. You can truly make some very advanced games in this.

It's the first game to feature Stadia's State Share feature, which means you can get people to play your creations just by having them click a single link.

Unit 2 Games are in this for the long run. On the Crayta Developer Portal you can vote on which new features you'd like them to work on first. They also hinted they are already working on several features like Asset importing, vehicles and NPCs. It will be very interesting to see how much this product grows in the coming years.

Stadia is yet a young platform, and Crayta has came just in time at the beginnings of Stadia, and it will grow along it due to the diversity of games people will create. Not everyone wants to play a massive MMO and do dailies to a point that feels like a job. Sometime you just want to jump in a poorly executed shooter or a beatiful puzzle and kill that half hour lunch break. I think that's where Crayta can shine at the moment, but the options are limitless. Expand

I hope the best for Crayta. Expand

I really enjoyed playing Crayta. It takes the genre to another level with in game coding. It seems so powerful that I think even the developers have under estimated it's potential. The good news is that they are fully engaged with their community and constantly pushing out updates and features. It's great now and will continue to grow into an amazing game.

It's easy to handle so that even my kids can enjoy ab bit of Crayta sometimes. As Stadia Pro subscriber I got the deluxe edition which came with a few cosmetics and crayta credits to buy more cosmetics.

This is the best Stadia exclusive so far. All the games built in Stadia that I've tried are beautiful and fun and the community is busy building more.

The game is limitless with a lot of potential to keep you busy and hooked. Since it's debut yesterday, I've played a handful of games, got myself leveled up to 16 with no signs of stopping. I was not expecting to enjoy this game considering I'm in my 30s and saw Roblox, Fortnite and Minecraft games for a younger audience. They've really made this game appeal to all audiences. And it just works. The player base so far has been pretty massive and even with that, I've never experienced any lag or input delay. This game has potential and I hope it continues to grow. Expand

I love this game. It's easy to use, the games are fun and there's so many things you can do. There are little bugs, as to be expected with a game, but aside from that this game is amazing

Crayta is a great game creation toolkit. If you only want to play some games that other have developed? No problem. Just start to play. But if you want to be creative you can use the basic mode and use some predefined levels or switch to the advanced mode. In advanced mode you can write your own scripts that can interact with all objects in your level.

It would be more precise to call this a game engine or game platform. On the surface it might remember Roblox or Minecraft, but they give you access to the physics, the lighting, the scripting, everything that's usually left in an unaccessible black box in those other games.
It'll be interesting to see what open minded and creative people do with this platform. If this game becomes a popular muse for the streaming community, I expect a massive amount of content to be generated in the coming year.

Genuinely one of the worst 'games' I've played in years. I'm glad it was free on stadia as I'd be asking for a refund if I'd paid for it. There's fundamentally nothing here.

To sum it up its Roblox with a full price tag instead of being F2P and it even has the live service in game cash shop ontop.

I was looking forward to this game as I thought it would be similar to Dreams but its not its much more limited, its a sandbox that lets you make mini games using blocky terrains with some Fortnite style avatars and assets to mix it up again very similar to Roblox

It is a community driven game on a platform with the smallest gaming community in the Industry.. I see this game finding it hard to keep people playing.

I love this game! Its a game made of many little games. Many of the games are created by the community. There are new programs created and tied into battle passes which allows for even more rewards to be earned. Each week I go in and look to what new up and or updated games were created by the community!!!

A lot of simular games or not realy full developed games. Not my type

Crayta is ROBLOX MINECRAFT merged together with a fortnite art style, create your own games, join other games or just sit back and design your custom creation. The design program really takes an upgrade if you use keyboard. Fun game, Prop hunt is super popular. It is growing and receiving updates all the time and the creators even put up tutorials to get started. really great community. fun game.

I really wanted to love this game, but I guess it wasn't for me. Most of the time I just go in, and end up running like a headless chicken, but still having fun. I wish I could dive deeper into creating levels and games with it but found out I couldn't get the patience for it, and would rather play other people's creations. For that, it's amazing and would recomend.

Crayta is an ingenius game in the vein of Roblox. It is easy to pick up and down and have some fun with it. As it expands, it will be even more fun. I login frequently to check what new stuff is out there, and I may be asucker for tycoons. It is my addictive nature I think.

This game has a lot of amazing features and ways to customize. You can build whatever you want in their voxel environment and make things look very smooth. It is also a great way to learn game scripting.

My only ding against it was that there were some things you simply could not do with the scripting and some of them were basic. Like I wanted to do a laser gun without the gun

My only ding against it was that there were some things you simply could not do with the scripting and some of them were basic. Like I wanted to do a laser gun without the gun triggering the kick animation and simply could not find a way to do it. I'm sure things like this will be worked out in the future and that's probably pretty minor compared to all the things you can do.

Great game overall, especially for one where you build games in it. That said it actually got worse after they stopped being a Stadia exclusive. They used to have good incentives to keep coming back, they dropped them when they came to PC which honestly is a bummer. Overall though the increase in players has been nice. I wish the team the best it's very clear a lot of hard work went into Crayta.

Crayta is yet another game that serves as a platform for user-created content. Despite the competition, it still manages to stand out and not just because the game is on Google Stadia. With its focus on multiplayer experiences and experimental design, this could become a fantastic library of titles once the community starts generating its own products.
