It’s very impressive that Page 44 Studios managed to introduce “nail the trick” and focus mode to the PSP and make it as intuitive as possible.
-
The graphics are about as good as we'll likely get anytime soon on the PSP, and a pretty nice set of songs and the full range of levels are here.
-
With oceanic depth, honed controls and absorbing missions, this is the epitome of bad, meaning good.

Playstation Official Magazine UKProject 8 is a breath of fresh air after Tony Hawk's Underground disappeared up its own halfpipe. [Oct 2007, p.112]
-
The levels are still vast, the number of available goals is still overwhelming, and the multiplayer portion adds some replayability.
-
Project 8 is proof that the Tony Hawk series is running out of steam and that’s too bad since there’s some great skating action to be had in this game.
-
Tony Hawk's Project 8 for the PSP isn't as great a game as the console versions. How can it be? It has no real way to resemble the controls without a second analog stick, and the graphics almost feel like an afterthought.

JohnL.Nov 27, 2006Do yourself a favor and just buy Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Remix for PSP, it is way better and it is only $20.
