    Persona 3 Portable is obviously inferior to the original, but still looks and plays very good on the PSP. Combat is simple, characters are original and interesting, but the battles are still repetitive and get boring after a while.

    Fun to play from time to time, a solid JRPG.

    The great potential of this game - the simulation of a life of a school kid and the bonds he forms with others - is totally ruined by the level of boredom and tedoiusness that you'll feel while doing the 250+ floors of Tartarus, one of the worst randomly generated dungeons I've ever encountered in a video game. The enemies are color swaps and the whole gameplay just revolves around knowingThe great potential of this game - the simulation of a life of a school kid and the bonds he forms with others - is totally ruined by the level of boredom and tedoiusness that you'll feel while doing the 250+ floors of Tartarus, one of the worst randomly generated dungeons I've ever encountered in a video game. The enemies are color swaps and the whole gameplay just revolves around knowing an effective attack and doing a combo attack afterwards, thus requiring zero strategy. The story itself is nothing special.

    The best part of this game are simply the interactions with others, however, they are constantly interrupted by the super boring dungeon parts. Unfortunately, the whole game suffers due to this.    … Expand

    It felt like I had played a small portion of the original game. No good scenes, no anime videos, some OST's are gone as well. Gameplay is repetitive, going to Tartarus over and over again felt like a chore. I chose this version because of a female protagonist and I slightly regretting it.

Second, ***SPOILERS*** Maxing out Shinji's link shouldn't keep him alive. That invalidates Ken's arc. But, I do enjoy the ability to control the party.… Expand

    E' un peccato dover dare un voto così basso a Persona 3 perché meriterebbe un 10 solo per la trama e per l'importanza storica. L'ideale sarebbe stato un Persona 3 FES con il gameplay del Portable. Infatti la novità più importante di questo remake è la possibilità di controllare direttamente tutti i membri del party in battaglia. Purtroppo questa è l'unica cosa positiva. L'assenza diE' un peccato dover dare un voto così basso a Persona 3 perché meriterebbe un 10 solo per la trama e per l'importanza storica. L'ideale sarebbe stato un Persona 3 FES con il gameplay del Portable.     Persona 3...on the go. Considering that fact, I gave FES a 9/10 but gave this a 6/10. Why is that? Well, this game is severely lacking in presentation. The entire game is now in visual novel format. While that style can be engaging, I enjoy my fair share of Danganronpa, it simply is not the same as the 3D cutscenes on PS2. This game is also notably easier due to ability to manually controlPersona 3...on the go. Considering that fact, I gave FES a 9/10 but gave this a 6/10. Why is that? Well, this game is severely lacking in presentation. The entire game is now in visual novel format. While that style can be engaging, I enjoy my fair share of Danganronpa, it simply is not the same as the 3D cutscenes on PS2. This game is also notably easier due to ability to manually control party members. While that is not inherently a bad thing, bosses have not been adjusted any amount with this fact. This makes the game much, much easier, to what I believe to be the games detriment. The Female main character also sometimes overrides what the original game wanted to say in regards to themes (example being one character not dying if you complete their social link, which disregards the whole scene and next month of in game time). However, at this games core is Persona 3. Even with these flaws, it is still an alright game. Unfortunately, this is the version that PC users will get in 2023 instead of FES.… Expand

    The game its way too long, characters are mediocre and the anime narrative doesn't help. You have to grind a 200 floor boring dungeon but even with that this is the superior version, i still have my problems with the game but you can get along with it.
